I thought of another question..... Does anyone know how much laundry soap costs??? Apparently you can't take laundry soap in any form in your checked baggage anymore. Something in it can be flamable??!! Go figure:confused3

well i'm glad you said something b/c I was going to buy travel size to take in luggage. I can't remember exact price...1.50 i think??? but i'm going to put dryer sheets in luggage so at least i don't have to purchase that.

can't tell you how much it costs because we did have a small travel-sized jug of Tide in our checked luggage three weeks ago.

I have to ask where you heard this. I looked on the TSA website and couldn't find anything about it. :confused3

I couldn't find that, but, I did find this. Maybe it will help.

Personal Care Items containing
hazardous materials (e.g., flammable
perfume, aerosols) totaling no more than
70 ounces may be carried on board.
Contents of each container may not
exceed 16 fluid ounces.

Under household items it only listed
Drain cleaners, solvents

I got a tiny bottle of ALL Small & Mighty (about the size of a travel shampoo) at Walmart today. I am not taking it as a carry on though.

I called TSA directly. I told him that I was able to take some in my checked baggage 2 years ago, but he said rules have changed:confused3 I don't see how laundry detergent is flammable

where at walmart did you find this?? by travel size items or laundry detergent?? thanks

I have had good luck using www.minimus.biz I used them in May at Pop and Aug at POR. They have all sorts of travel size items. I ordered laundry soap, toothpaste, deoderant, individual bowls of cereal, cashews, snack mixes.....if you order more than $20 shipping is free. It took 10 days for the package to get to Pop so just be sure to allow enough time. The box was waiting for me at the front desk when I checked in.

Thanks that is really a good idea!!

It was by the travel shampoo etc. They had the little ALL bottles and they had Tide hand wash packets (but these weren't enough for a washing machine only the sink) the ALL was enough for 2 loads in the washer. You really have to look because it does look so much like a shampoo bottle.

I also took the travel sized Tide in checked luggage in August.....I found it at Target in the section with the travel sized items......

I believe the detergent and dryer sheets were $2.00 each - the Bounce had 2 dryer sheets in it......

I had brought some dry laundry soap in my luggage in a ziplock baggie. However, when I went to do laundry I had forgotten it in my room and was too tired and lazy to go back and get it. They had dispenser machines to buy soap there. For 1.00 I bought a single use box of tide powder.

Next time I won't worry about packing it.

I Was Wondering If The Pop Century Still Sends Out An Information Packet About The Resort. We Know Some People That Have Been There And They Got A Really Neat Packet About 30 Days From Their Check In Date. We Only Have 23 Days Until We Will Arrive And Would Like To Know If I Should Be Watching My Mail?

I got a little flyer in the mail today from Pop Century talking about ADR's and other activities, but that's all we've gotten so far & we arrive in 21 days. Was hoping for more info, but so far nothing. My sister stayed at CBR last month & gave me all her flyers just so I had something to look at.

I didn't get anything from POP - but maybe cus I went thru the Trip agency here. My papers are in! magic ride to resortpixiedust: , ADRs are done, costumes are packed. Yippee!  :dancer: party:

Subscribing, just booked 2 rooms at POP with AAA rate for May 08.:thumbsup2

I originally booked Poly Lagoon view conceirge. Then decided I would pay for this trip with by myself without DH's help. Tired of him griping about all his money going to Mickey!:lmao:

After this trip we will have stayed at all 3 levels of resorts and will be able to give educated opinions on all.

We just got back from a 8 day stay at POP. I use a wheelchair and requested that I be by a pool and as close to the dining as possible. (I can walk if it's not too far.) I was put in the 50s on the back side (and they call this preferred).

The second night they were doing construction outside my room ALL night! They were using a jack hammer and backhoe digging out the concrete by the luggage service. Can you believe that they would put someone in a room right there if they knew they were going to this! I did get a nights room charge returned and I changed rooms but I spent many hours, packing, stopping at the front desk, waiting twice. Had to argue to get a decent room that I didn't have to wait for before they were getting the carpets cleaned. Then wait for my luggage to be delivered and unpack. This room was better (on the back side of the 60s building) but I had to insist upon it.

This resort is HUGE. There doesn't seem to be anything enough for their size. The pools were very crowded, food courts busy (though they pretty good about keeping things stocked).

The one other thing I missed is the Disney mania. I guess not unexpectedly everything was 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Not much Disney.

I will not returned to this resort.

We arrive at POP on the 15th and today we got a little flyer with some ideas, hints of things to do. For instance "PS. Do you remember TV dinners? Every night of the week, we serve a special "Mom's Night Out" meal that's sure to remind you of the good old days."

Sorry you didn't likePop I loved it we had preferred rooms on 4th floor 60's not poolside. They were quiet and close to everything . We found the front desk VERY helpful No complaints at all In fact we visited Contemporary and DD said Give me Pop .We find it very family oriented.
