Is the soap and shampoo that are in the rooms enough for 2 women and 2 children to use per day or should we bring our own? 38 days to go

One small bottle of each, shower gel and shampoo, two soaps - hand soap size and bath size. Just call housekeeping and request extra -they will bring you some asap. :)

Have a great trip!!:flower3:

My dh and ds use the Mickey shampoo. My dd and I have long hair (and her hair is VERY thick) so I bring shampoo & conditioner for us. My dd would need easily half of a bottle for herself and would still need conditioner.

You will have plenty of soap. :thumbsup2

Hi,
Planning on visiting Pop Century from 08/29 - 09/05. Are these dates still open on the schedule? Would be interested in participating!;)

We have a guy here in the twin cities who is famous for doing 360 degree shots of stuff around town and now the country. I was lucky to get into a few of his pictures he took during the winter carnival here in minnesota a few years ago. :thumbsup2

Anyways, I wanted to share this link to a 360 degree shot he took right over POP from a helicopter. You can follow some of the other links to other Orlando spots too.

Enjoy

That is awesome! My kids just had the best time playing around with that. It's kind of creepy looking at the unfinished Legendary years of Pop. There is foundation for buildings that haven't been built.
Thanks for posting that!

That is sooo cool!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

Questions.... Does each floor of the POP have an ice machine? If so, where are they usually located?

Also, do the televisions in the rooms have the audio/video jacks on them for hooking up a portable DVD player or a game console like a Playstation 2?

I am renting DH a scooter from Walker Mobility. Where do I pick that up once we get there and are the rooms big enough for us to drive it in there to plug into the wall to charge at night?

How late are the food court and Petals open at night?

Sorry for all the questions, but this is our 1st time to WDW and I am excited and a little nervous...LOL... we leave the 9th of September!

Yes, each floor has an ice machine and they are in the middle of the building, behind the elevators.

Not sure about your other questions.

I believe that the food court & Petals are open till midnight (at least that was the case last August when I was there).

Our TV in the 80's buidling had the 3 jacks in the front of the TV (yellow, white and red) so you should be able to hook up portable electronics, but we never tried it.

Cheer, cheer ... I have finally read all 292 pages on this thread!

Thanks for all the great info!

Yes, there are AV inputs on the front of the TV's. You can select the inputs by using remote. By cycling through the channels you can go to INPUT2. Just got back so if you have any questions I should have the info still fresh in my mind.

That is so cool! Does anyone know why the other side was never finished? And can you go across the bridge to there?

No you can't get across. On the legendary side there is trees blocking you. (a fence to I beleive)

Meladdin,
You said that the remote has "input1 and Input2" on it? What channel do you need to be on? We have a special Video Phone that uses the TV screen and the internet so we can talk in sign language to my in-laws while we are at POP in Oct. We may check up with them some night Thanks for this information.

I heard that construction was haulted after 9/11/2001. Attendance went down for awhile, so they didn't need the extra rooms. But, it's picking up now, so I wish they would finish it already!

The channel is "Input 1" or "Input2". It doesn't have a number, it has a name. The button on the remote changes it to either of these channels. You can't get there by typing in a number, or going round and round with the channel up/down buttons. I'm guessing, but this is how all of our TVs at home work.

I finally made it thru 292 pages. Go ahead and quiz me - joking. My brain is fried and I dream about Pop every night. Funny thing is that I've never been to Pop.

But I'll be there in 100 days. Yeah! This thread and Pop picture thread are great! Thanks Tyler for starting it. (I know, I know. You're not at Pop anymore)

I've requested 3rd or 4th floor, lake view, hopefully Tramp. I'm hoping that Pop Warner kids aren't overflowing at Pop when I'm there. (4th-11th) I'm taking ear plugs and/or sound machine.

Anyways, thanks for all of the info. Some of it repeated again and again. :rotfl:
