Thanks for that! Anyone at Pop at end of August who sees a door with letters on, that will be us - leave a message! Handful of days to go, a truck load of stuff still to do

We'll be there on the 19th thru Sept 2! I'm gonna have to think of something to put on our door. We will be on the ground floor in the preferred rooms.

We will be at Pop from aug 27th till sept 10th, we are staying in prefferred, but not a clue where we will be,, anyway our room will be totally green themed,, lots of pirate and princesses! I have made our window clings and a magnetic sign for the door,, I am leaving lime green post its on the door for people to sign,, so if you see it please leave me a message :

Groovy!!! We'll be... in a room! The only requirement we had was a non-smoking one, and since they all are now, we'll just be wherever. None of us mind walking, so wouldn't mind if we were on the top floor of the furthest building!

And tracipierce: we leave the UK at lunchtime (12noon-ish) on Tuesday 21st, but won't be at Pop until late Tuesday evening.

Hi all,

My family(DH,DS8,DD4 and myself) will be at pop from 8/23-8/30. We asked for the 50's non-prefered and non-poolside. Our DS8 is an ASD child. I think I also asked for the top floor. We will be decorating our window and I hope to put something on the door for any notes. For my itinerary please see my pre-trippie(I need more replies to my pt report-can you help out a fellow POPer? )
We will have some LGMHs on all our stuff(backpacks, strollers, etc).

How much will it be to rent a Surrey for 2 people and what's the time frame? Also my DD9 is almost 5 feet tall do you think she and I would be able to do it comfortably together as I have never tried one before is it hard to use? Thanks!

I am a relatively light sleeper, but I also have some mobility issues. I would really like to request a ground-floor room, but I am worried about potential noise from above. We have booked preferred, and I am requesting to be away from the pool. Has anyone stayed on the ground floor before? How loud was it? Could you easily hear those above you?

I don't think Pop has Surrey's, do they?

I've stayed on the ground floor at both ASMo and Pop and never heard the people above me. I would assume the floors are concrete making it hard to hear above you. I have heard of people hearing the people in the next room but have been fortunate to never have that problem either. Now the way the doors slam is another story. If your neighbors get in or leave before you then you will hear there door slam because unless they stand there and hold it till it closes it is loud and that happens on all floors. The problem on the ground floor is always the noise of people or kids yelling as they are going past or when maintanance starts their machines up in front of your room and a couple mornings they started at about 7am. If that won't bother you don't worry. There is always the option of sleeping with the tv on which drowns some noise or using ear plugs.

As for surry bikes I don't believe they are rented out at Pop and I never saw anyone using one. I think because there is one parked behind the main building near 50's bldg that people assume they have them there.

It looks like we will be staying at the POP from May 4 - 10.

No surreys at Pop. I think they used to though at the beginning, but no longer do.
I stayed on the first floor and never once heard someon above us. Only the first morning did I hear people outside, and I think they were leaving, because I never heard them again. If you request non poolside, your noise levels should be lower.

I quoted the post with the link to the preferred room map for you.
It looks like there are plenty of "non-pool facing" preferred rooms. We had a 1st. floor room in the 50s behind the jukebox (standard, not preferred) and I was worried about the noise, but it was fine.
I liked the ease of getting our stroller in and out, but I am sure with the elevators an upper room would be ok for us too.

I would call and put your requests on your ressie. Quiet, not facing pool, ground floor. [If that's your order of preference.]

Am I crazy!?! But I LOVE the noise, hussle and bussle of Disney. The splashing of water, the laughter etc. In fact, I think I sleep better because I'm so thrilled to be at Disney. The only thing that bothers me is a foul mouth...that I cannot tolerate.
