I believe you can get a single serving milk AND a single serving cereal together as one snack credit. Anyone confirm this?

I was thinking more along the lines of saving the snack credits & buying the milk/cereal. We have ADR's for breakfasts after 10:30. DH & DS won't be able to wait that long, so I was thinking cereal in the room. We won't have a car so we can't go to a grocery store.

How about gardengrocer.com?

I'm planning to use them to deliver water, fresh fruit, a Styrofoam cooler and a few other things for the room.

Many DISers have used them and were very pleased with the service.

When are you going? I'm going tomorrow. :dumbo: so I could check out what they have and report back next weekend.

How about bringing along boxes of granola type bars? By the third day, we realized that the DDP was more than enough food for us so we would just have a granola/yogurt bar in the room instead of buying breakfast and then use the snack credit mid morning. You could just have something small in the room before your ADR for breakfast.

I was thinking about those 100 calorie packs & things like that for convenience, but didn't want to take up room in the luggage. Then I was thinking of shipping a box down before we left.

Thanks everyone for all the great ideas. This whole site has taught me things I didn't know and wouldn't have thought of :confused3 but now I have become addicted to it :surfweb: I may go into withdrawal not going on every day after my trip!:sad2:

I'm not going till Sept. I don't want you to go out of your way, but thanks if you can check. Have a great time!
Thanks! I'll try to remember to check it out.

I often send a box before we go. My DH doesn't travel well so I need to make the whole airport thing as easy as possible.

Question about Gardengrocer.

I know there is a $12 delivery fee if you do not order over $200. Is there a minimum amount of $$ you need to spend otherwise? I did not see that info. anywhere and wanted to double check.

I mailed a box of snax, sunscreen and window decorations down and they arrived fine. Our luggage was there too , but I felt better knowing I'd have some essentials like sunscreen waiting for me. Think next time I'll cut back on snax and mail a smaller box!!

We like to bring some of the single serve boxes of cereal for the kids to take along to the park to snack on in the AM, they don't want breakfast when they first wake up and we want to head right away to the parks so the cereal makes a easy to take snack. Pack them in your suitcase they wont take up much room then you will have room for park goodies to bring home!

We're a Pop Tart kind of family! If you take them out of the box, they don't take up as much room. That way we can hold out for something better a little later. Even though we think the food court at POP is excellent, we don't want to eat breakfast there everyday and waiting to get to a park can sometimes take well over an hour by the time we leave the room and hop on the bus. Not to mention the fact that sometimes the lines to enter the park can be quite long.

We took breakfast type things too. and I didn't find it to take much room up, and then we had a bit extra room for our treasures on the way hjome. I also brought juice boxes for DD so she could have those to take to the park each day, instead of gett pop all the time. I would get her milk each morning, and at dinner though.

Take a look at Amazon.com for ordering snacks. If you order over $25, the shipping is free. That's where I ordered the yogurt bars and had them shipped to Pop. I also ordered chocolate covered cashews and those were a hit with the family.

Good morning. I know that I have read on here before what channels the t.v's at Pop can get. However I can't find it now and of course I can't remember what I read. Whats the saying the mind is the first thing to go? LOL

Thanks

We took a small suit case with just snacks and such. We brought mrs fairley's which had disney charactors on them, cinnamon buns and dounuts which kept the kids in the disney spirit! Then we had a small suitcase to bring back treasures in. It worked out very well for us!

We are bringing a thermoelectric cooler for our August trip so we can have some nice cold water...I'm thinking it would be a good idea to pack it full of snacks/breakfast items (as long as it doesn't go over the airline's weight limit).
