My friends are doing a 4 night Magic Your Way Package at POP and their fifth day (gasp) they are going to go to Sea World. I told her she could make the 4 day package ressie and then do a 1 night room only ressie and they should be fine. She was worried about the checking out, checking back in thing, afraid they would have to move rooms, etc. Wouldn't they just let them stay in the same room? Anyone know/have done this??
Lesley
I did this once, yes, they let you stay in the same room. You are just adding an extra day to your trip.

I read where someone once had to check out and change rooms. They may need to call and ask to be sure.

Thanks Jenseib, Looking at the map I was wondering that, But I would imagine we could walk around in the evening anyway. Did get Doctors note for getting Non smoking rooms as DGDs have Asthma. Should I fax that ahead , call or what. I have Pop,s # somewhere is it best to call direct to the hotel>??

:scared1:  Do I need a doctor's note?? I was lucky enough last year and got the requested non-smoking...I just figured if asked I'd show all the medication, do you think that would work. I hate the idea of having to make an extra Dr. app. just to get notes??:confused3

whenever we've requested non-smoking at Pop (medical reasons for DH) we've always gotten them - going back in october

I don't think you need a doctor's note for a non-smoking room. Just make sure it is noted as medically necessary on your reservation (tell the CM about the asthma). We've never had a problem getting a non-smoking room.

timandlesley - when your friends check it, make sure they let the CM know about the split reservation and that they request to have the same room for the last night. They will try to keep them in the same room that way, but it isn't always possible. Most likely they will have to go check in again for the last night. We had to do this when we had a 7 night/3 night reservation (had to break it like that because of the discount we had).

I just spent the better part of the last two days reading (almost all) 300+ pages here.... Will be at POP Juy 1-13 and this has been a great place to find out EVERYTHING I needed to know!!! We have stayed at the All Stars Resort several times but are really looking forward to POP (especially the frozen cokes:woohoo: Thank for all the great info and pics!!

Curious as how to get the neat tickers?:wizard:

Oh I know, I spent so long reading all info!

When I made our ressie and was talking to the CM I explain of mine a my DD's allergies, he said that it was still just a request, but maybe when I checked in to show our medication if necessary?? Since booking our we've discovered our youngest DS has allergies to, it's a bummer, specially this time of year. Without the meds, we'd probably wouldn't be able to breathe....
Just gonna keep my spirits up and hope for the best, worked out last time, sure it will this time as well. Of course we all have the certain building we would love, but in all honesty I'd much rather be put in clean non-smoking rooms, then worry with that!;)

:scratchin In all of our stays, I haven't had a problem. I always state that we need a nonsmoking room for medical reasons, specifically asthma. (I have allergies as well but haven't ever mentioned that.)

Perhaps you could call back and double check your ressie? :confused3 I would just say I was calling to make sure that they have a notation of nonsmoking for medical reasons, and then the request of your preferred building.

Good luck! I am sure everything will turn out just fine! :goodvibes

Anyone going to be down at POP around Memorial Week? I'll be on my Disneymoon from the 26th until the 3rd of June.

Grumpyfamily...****
Have a great time at POP!! I loved it!
I think the 60's was very nice, our room was lakeside behind the Play Doh icon...close to everything. The landscaping by the main and kiddie pool added to the resort atmosphere.
Have a great time!!!
Do you do 1 or 2 rooms? Not being nosy, jsut wondering how you work it out...next year it will be me, Dh DS14, DD11 and DD2...we will do 2.

I am not positive we need the doctors note but as they had appts. DD got them, along with the inhalers and nebulizer,I should have enough proof. I think I will call the end of the month or sooner to check it out I had also heard that with prior notice they will deep clean the rooms!!

I made reservations at Pop a few weeks ago but after reading this thread I decided I need to call back and request a non smoking room. I talked with a great CM who said it was no problem getting that but I've gotten no email confirmation yet with the changes. I looked up my ressie online and there is no mention of a non smoking room. Do you think I need to call again?

Now we have scheduled the breakfast with Bear and the Einsteins on June 2 at 8:05am. The park does not open till 9am. will we be able to get transportation that early to the park?

Tonya:wizard:

The bus service does begin prior to the parks opening...to accomodate guests for their breakfast reservations...not exactly sure when first bus departs though!!
Someone here will know I am sure!

**Just booked next year's trip! For the extra $ and the guarantee to be in bldg 4 or 5...great spot..love it...close to everything! **
Also, on my docs....it stated connecting rooms....guaranteed for families!!!
I always thought connecting was not a guarantee, just a request.
I did request ground floor though....hoping for poolside...so we can walk a few steps and have breakfast at one of the tables nearby....almost a patio! lol...Humor me.....hate to pay deluxe $$...when POP is so cute!

Does any one know if the legendary years building is open? I was looking at the pics of the resort on allears and was just wondering about the 1900s-40s.

thanks
