Here's my lame reason, and it's not the bus thing, because we rent a car, but I think that's a great advantage. Anyway, I like Pop for the blue slushies. There, that's how I make my adult desicion, drinks.:upsidedow

MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm very good point. That is not a lame reason at all. That is a very valid point. That point over rules the transportation one. I LOVE slushies.

How many electrical outlets are in the room? My friend and I are going for Spring Break, but we're tech junkies. Wondering if I should bring a surge protector for my plug space.

Tell ya' what to do...in my family we have the following that we take on vacation. 4 IPODS, 2 Nintendo DS's, 1 PSP, speakers, battery charger, video camera, 4 cell phones. We started using a power strip. While we still have to move things around but it works great. We use it camping too, lol.

That's what I was thinking. I was in class making a list of what to bring today (glad I have my priorities straight) and just for the electronics I have 2 cell phone chargers, palm pilot charger, iPod charger, and 2 camera battery chargers. I realize that not all of these have to be charged every day, but that's just my stuff.

I'm used to staying in 1 bedroom Villas with my family, so it's generally not a problem because there are plenty of outlets, but I doubt that will be the case here. Just wondering if anybody had any idea what they number was.

Well, most likely 4 in the bedroom and 1 in the bathroom? A small power strip wouldn't be a bad idea, they're cheap enough, even if you end up not needing it.

I was wondering, I made reservations for this hotel, but neglected to mention we want a non-smoking room. Do we have to mention that, or would they automatically give us one?

You should mention it. Most likely you will get one but don't leave it up to chance if it is very important to you, like it is for me.

If you arrive to check-in and there's one available, they will give it to you, as long as it coincides with what you paid for, preferred or non-preferred. But call and add the request to your reservation, so more than likely one will be set aside for you.

Next question how do you rent for multiple days. We will need one for5 days in the parks. Am still undecided about double or single . Single cheaper double room for backpacks etc Hmmm!!
You pay for the number of days you want on the first day and they give you tickets that they staple to the reciept. They put a date stamp on the tickets on the days you use it. They give you a name tag to put on the stroller also and it does speed things up if you bring that back with you. I have even used an extra day on another trip-months later but I have also read that they will refund you if you have extra days.

Could someone explain why they might like Pop Century over, say, ASMo? I am trying to decide between them and some people really seem to gravitate to one or the other. What was it for you?

I too must admit the Frozen Coke machine is what makes Pop an easy choice for me. I also like the decor of the rooms better at Pop and I like the pools at Pop. I would stay at the AS again but my first choice is Pop.

:wave2: Just to say a quick Hi!!:wave2: We're staying at the Pop from September 3rd for our first ever WDW holiday. Soooo excited! Just wish I could get involved in a fridge swap as it is such a good idea!

There is also a coffee swap at POP too.:thumbsup2

My DS agrees with you.:rotfl:

I remember seeing 4 double outlets with easy access. I think there's another two tho powering the TV and the radio on the nightstand

For us, POP beats out the All Stars because of the food court (we think it is better), the bus system (which TOTALLY rocks!), and the furniture. :rolleyes2 Yes - I know it's a lame reason, but we tried the All Stars and I can't stand the cubes you have to use for drawer space.

Oh yeah - gotta love the slushies at POP! :thumbsup2

Fridge swap @ POP? How do I find out info about this? We'll be there in June--and that extra $$$ I'm paying for a fridge would buy some "stuff" for the kids!!:thumbsup2

Coke Slushies:cool1: We're going to stay at POP May 18-20 then off to BCV for 5 days, however based on the Coke Slushie situation I may cancel BCV and book those days at POP instead:rotfl:

Most of the POP Fridge Swaps can usually be found on the Budget Board. You will also turn up a lot of leads with a search of "POP Fridge Swap".

There are also Pal Mickey Swaps and Coffee Maker Swaps going on.

Good Luck!
