please forgive me if these things have been discussed elsewhere in this thread. i don't have the patience or the time to search for answers to my questions. :lmao:

1. Does POP share a bus with any other resort (s)?
2. Does POP have an internal resort shuttle?
3. Is the construction on the resort complete? (When I was at WDW in January 2005, parts of it were still under construction.)

Did POP change the refillable mug design yet? I am so sick of the old ones. I would love love love to see some new mugs!

Like most, i'm way too lazy to read through every post in this group, does any one have any recommendations as to which building I should request while at POP in March? In December I stayed in 50's building 2, but am hoping to see the fireworks this time from Epcot. Any suggestions would be appreciated!:thumbsup2

We are going in March and staying at the POP. I was wondering which 50's buildng could you see the fireworks from?? Someone said you could see both EPCOT's and another...
Would love to know to request, DD won't wait for a good viewing in the parks.
Thanks.

Thanks.

You need a lake view. We had 50s Building C 4th floor and we could see them.

The current Pop mugs are tiedyed, different from the ones from 2004

You don't need an internal shuttle because it's not that spread out

subscribing...so excited about the new board...so much to read....

This isn't a great mug shot (:lmao: ), but you can see the mugs OK on our table. We had 3 mugs--one must be right out of the camera's view. You have a choice of handle colors in blue, orange, or red. Mugs also come in travel size, but we got the chunky ones. The best thing about having a refillable mug at Pop Century is using it at the frozen Coke machine!

Please.. .can we re-do this FAQ thread.... Many of us do not have time to brows 187 pages to get the info we need...

:stir:

thanks!

:D

I did a couple of measurments myself testing the distance from the farthest room from the elevators to the center of the bus stop. Here's my worst case results:
Building 6 - 0.23 miles
Building 7 - 0.22 miles
Building 4 or 5 - 0.20 miles
Building 2 - 0.28 miles

On the flip side, the closes you can get to the bus stops is to have a ground floor room at the end of one of the 60's buildings closest to Classic Hall., that requires a walk of only 0.13 miles.

That makes for an 800 foot difference (less than the length of a football field) between the worst and the best.

This proves what I have long thought to be the case .. it just really isn't that much of a difference. Plus.. I originally thought we got the short end of some imaginary stick on one of our previous room placements but it was really all in my head. The walk to the elevator included.. we were no further away than if we had gotten the room I 'really' wanted.

One our next trip my only request is a room that faces in someway.. the lake.

We brought our mugs from last yr. and they were the exact same ones so we didn't have to buy them. We asked the a cm that worked in the food court and she said it didn't matter if you reused them yr. after yr., they don't have a disney police! We noticed everyone using different mugs. My 6 yr dd loves the icees but she doesn't drink that much before we get to the parks, so I filled her up a little dixie cup of icee every morning that was just enough!

Well I just planned a suprise to POP for Dec. for honey and 1 DS. Can't wait to gather all the info you all have to offer :)

We planning a trip in August and staying POP. I booked just standard and hoping for the best. It seem to me when I don't request, I do get better rooms. Plus, when you arrive just talk to the castmember, they do aim to please.
Back in 2003, we stayed at POP we end up in the 70's on third floor, garden side. It was really quit. It was a short walk to the bus station. We walk by the parking lot. The food court was a short walk.. by end of the stay, it does seem long when your tired, especially in the morning to get coffee.;)

I also, reuse my mugs, I take 2 and buy 2 more. I know this a touchy subject too. I hope they have new ones at POP so I can buy 4 new ones. These are great to use at home during the summer.

Pixiedust34, thanks for the Picture! The tye dye looks cool. My children will love them.

Have anyone seen hidden mickey's? at the POP.
I found one In the Laundry mat.

I Do think it is time to redo this thread. :) I have a hard time going through all pages. Plus, the front page needs to be up dated. Tyler had done a wonderful job! When I went in 2003, He had great info and still does.

Where is Tyler working now? I know way back then, Tyler worked in the luggage room? I can't remember....
