Where did you see the tie dyed giant 60 and the 70 with the aqua stripes? Are those the numbers they put up out in front of Classic Hall after the other ones were damaged by the hurricane?

ETA: I looked at them again and they look like they're on the back of Classic Hall. Is there a door into the food court under the 70? I think I walked under there a million times and totally didn't even realize that it was a 70 :rotfl: I was on a mission!

The tie dyed 60 and striped 70 is on the backside of the main bldg ... kind of by the hippy dippy pool.. We just got back so these may have been put up to replace what was prev there..

That door that you see part of near the 70 goes into the food court.. We sat there a few times where you see the table and chairs and its real nice.. except some crows were there to get some food.. They looked like they've had a few too many meals.. I bet they will never leave.. :lmao:

Hmm... you're right, I guess it would be the 70's. The 80's and the 90's also face the food court too, but the door would be in the 70s. Can you tell it's been awhile since I've been there? :)

Tyler....Hi! We looked for you the whole time we were at Pop while there in Feb. We never did see your bus :( I kept telling the girls to watch for it so we were even watching busses as they passed us and through all the parking lots. Just wanted to say hello while there and thanks for all the tips! We loved Pop Century when we stayed there and definitely were happy with the adjoining rooms! The girls loved having their "own" room and with them being a teen and pre-teen we needed the extra space.

You know how the words ALL STAR SPORTS/MOVIES/MUSIC are spelled out in giant letters at their respective bus stops? Is POP CENTURY spelled out the same way? Of course, no one but DH would have a letter to pose with, but that is just something we've done every trip. DD has posed with the "A" at all three ages she's been, and I've posed with the two "M's".
Just wondering....

Sorry, they don't. There are giant numbers along the back of the food court, main lobby, etc. 50 60 70 80 90. How old is DD? If she's 5-9 she could pose with her age.

Did I read it right that there are internet access in all rooms at @ POP?

Staying at Pop in a standard room late sept. What is a good location to request to be close to the main building and buses? Thanks all.

You will want to request "50's or 70's" section closest to Everything Pop
Have them put that in your reservation. We stayed in 50's and loved it.

:cool1: WOO WOO :wizard: Just made our ressies for our 10 day POP stay in July! :moped: :cheer2: :stir: :hippie: This is our third time at the POP!

Was at Pop last month. Second time. First time I was in the 70's, close to the buses. This time was in the 50's, building 2, 4th floor. I loved it. Granted, not quite as close to the buses, but I just would go around the front and it was a little closer. Hit the Bowling pool every day, and even a couple evenings. I usually go to WDW every 2 yrs, but may be breaking this, as I wasn't ready to come home yet. So may be going a back next late Feb/early March again.

I will have to say that Pop has been good at putting me in corner rooms next to the stairs. So I don't get the running of the kids... :rotfl2:

We are taking an unexpected trip to Disney due to the free dining and this will be our first time at POP. I am working on room requests and had a couple of questions. When I made my ressie I did request the 50's section, non smoking. Now I want to add to that - Lady building and here is my question regarding ground floor or upper floor? I would like a room facing the bowling pin pool. On a ground floor room can you still see the pool or is it behind the landscaping? How close is the actual pool to the room doors? Did you follow that? I do realize that all of these would be requests only and since we always arrive early (9:00 am this year) I usually forget the requests if it means I can get into a room that is ready to occupy. I just keep hoping I'll get everything I ask for one of these days! :teeth: Thanks!

We stayed in the 50's section in the lady building. We had the last room on the top floor. We rather enjoyed the room location as we never had anyone walking outside our room. On the other hand we did have a trip to get to the pool. It would be much easier for you if you were on the ground floor to get to the pool. The doors are close to the pool you basically have to walk around the plants. Don't get me wrong it's not like you open your door and your in the pool. You are rather close to the pool area. We are going to be staying at POP again this year as well. We have a prefered room (only thing left) but I have requested the ground floor. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help anymore!!!!

Like I said this is our first time at Pop (or any value for that matter). We stayed at WL last year and it was just OK to us. We prefer POR but since this was an unexpected trip (Free Dining :teeth: ) we thought we would try a value. Actually our original ressies for last year were the first 3 nights at POP and then 5 nights at WL and when the free dining came out we changed all days to WL. We are not really picky (just want it clean) so I hope we are happy. My DH thinks it looks a little tacky but I read somewhere it looks less tacky in person than the pictures. I think I will add ground floor to my request. Thanks again! :cloud9:

No problem. Yes it is less tacky in person. We usually stay at either AKL or OKW. But when they offer up the free dining we have to take an unexpected trip!!! Last year was our first time staying at a value and we rather enjoyed POP. To us it was nicer because the All-Stars share a bus and POP is all by itself. The rooms are a bit smaller than the deluxes but we didn't mind them at all. We never stay in our room to much anyway. The only thing I would say about POP is that there is no sit down rest. But on the other hand we like that because we get up and go to a rest we have always wanted to in a park or another resort. Have a great time!!!

and I am so VERY excited. The whole thing about no sit down resturant does not concern we at all. We only come back to the room in the afternoon for a nap or swim. We will grab a quick bite for breakfast from the food court and be on our way. When we stayed at WL we ate at WWC once and the year before that at POR we only used the food court. I prefer to have all my lunches and dinners in the parks! :teeth: Now I just have to count down the days. :cloud9:
