This question might have been aswered before on this thread but please bear with me. We will be traveling with an infant and a 6 year old autistic little boy. If you know anything about autisim you know they will only eat certain foods. Can we use the microwave in the food court for things other than what was bought in the food court? There is a group of us so most of us will be buying and eating meals in the food court. The infant is limited on foods he can chew and swallow and the little boy is very very picky.

Thanks

Yes, the microwave is open for anyone's use in the food court no matter if you bought the food there or not.

One night I was at the Polynesian beach... it was empty. My friend had just lost a loved one, and I was consoling her. We were then approached by security, and were told that the beaches were for the exclusive use of the Polynesian Guests, and that we needed to leave.

How awful, they could have been more tactful in that situation. Well, that answers my question, I won't be going to the Poly beach then, what a shame. Sorry that happened to you.

OK - here's a new situation. We have a trip planned for POP in June (Me, DH, DD age 2). My brother in law is somewhat interested in coming (22 year old college boy) -- my husband likes the idea because it means someone to go to the parks with late at night. I think it might be fun, but I am very concerned about 3 normal sized adults making the little room work -- anyone have experience with 3 adults and a toddler in the little rooms?

I'm sure others will have an answer for you! I can relate as I was wondering the same thing with my dh, me, dd 13 and dd 10. Since we are going for a lenthy stay, we decided to get two connecting rooms instead. It will give us space and privacy plus the two bathrooms, two tvs, etc. For us it worked out to be only $25 more/night instead of staying in one room at a moderate for the value season.

I'm trying to plan a trip in October (2005) and your thread is such a big help. My stepkids have never been to WDW and none of the kids (or DH) have stayed on site (actually DD (15) stayed at AS Sports with her cheerleading squad). I really want all of them to have "The Experience of a Lifetime" and since there are 7 of us all together, the value resorts really are our most economical option. Pop really looks like the one for us. I will be checking back often for more helpful posts. Thanks to you all!!!

You will LOVE POP! Have a great time! I have trip and dining reports from our trip to POP in September if you want to take a look. Let me know :)

I am sooo anxious for our trip-and its not until July!!!!!! I don't know how I will ever survive that long. Thankfully threads like this one give me the little pick-me-up I need each day!

Thanks all

Hey! I need a dose of POP!

We haven't been there since last August and it was the best trip we had in a while. I've been searching the threads for the sites that had slideshows of POP, but cannot find them :confused3 . I've used the search function but other threads not related to POP come up. Can anyone post those links, they are probally right in front of me but I just can't seem to locate them :)

At least July is closer than December! :teeth:

We'll be there Dec. 8-14, coming in from Oklahoma City.

Hello all,
Has anybody else had trouble trying to open the fricknfrack.net site. My computer says that site does not exist. I would like to see those photos but no luck. :badpc:
Any tips would be much appreciated.
I am not going with my family until Feb. 2006 so Dec. doesn't seem quite that far out.

We had requested (I know, its just a request) the 70's. What is the nearest pool to the 70s section.

Unless you are on the first floor in the back of Building 10 (Hot Wheels) you will be closer to the main pool ... the hippy dippy Pool. You could be closer to the computer Pool in the '90's only if you are in one small section of the '70's building that is immediately to the left of the Classic Hall. But, depending on the age of your kids or your desire for drinks you'll walk to the hippy dippy pool anyway. But it's not that far. Enjoy! POP is a great resort.

Well, we have a 5 yr old and I love a good Daquiri so I guess you answered my question lol. Thank you

Can someone reassure me that 70's is a great building? Due a major CM blunder, we lost our 60's room at an amazing rate. I'm bummed and trying to get excited again! Thanks!

Cricket429 ... You are welcome! Yes, let the little one play under the squirting flowers and you can stop by Petals (the bar) right there at the pool. :cool2: You'll love it!!

ebarj1098 ... bummer. Unless you were looking forward to a room overlooking the hippy dippy pool don't worry about it. The 70's are just a short walk away. Not far at all. Of course the rooms are all the same. You'll like walking past the Mickey telephone and the Hot Wheel and through the giant fooz ball game. And, when kids are still playing in the pool you'll be better able to get to sleep. Admittedly the 60's offer a view of the pool but the 70's are quieter. And, unless you have a first floor room in the 60's, by the time you walk from your room to the elevator and to Classic Hall you won't have saved that many steps to differentiate between the 60's and 70's. So, go!! Get excited!! You'll love Pop and the 70's are 'cool!!' :cool2: I can't get back there for 11 more months. But I will!!! :earboy2:

We are planning a trip to Pop Century the beginning of Nov. My family is going and my sister/family. We would like to get 2 rooms next to each other. Should we each make a separate reservation? 1 of us make a reservation for 2 rooms? Is there any way to guarantee 2 side by side rooms?
Thanks! Kathy

I cancelled the reservations for our trip this weekend. There's a cold front coming and I know we wouldn't enjoy being at the parks when the high is only going to be 64° this Saturday. Since we only live 2.5 hours (by car) away from WDW we can go anytime. I tried to get reservations for March 21-23, but everything was booked. I'm going to call back tomorrow and try to get April 8-10.
