We requested the 70's section and ended up with the perfect view. As soon as we opened our door, there was the Mickey phone, if we looked to the right, there was the big wheel, and if we looked to the left, there was the lake. We were on the top floor. Here is a link to my page with pictures from our trip:

http://community.webshots.com/scripts/editPhotos.fcgi?action=viewall&albumID=195359879

The first picture is the view from our room to the right.
The twelfth picture is the view from our room as soon as we opened the door.
The last picture is the view from our room to the left.

Also- I think I remember earlier on this thread that someone wanted to know what the POP Jet area looked like. On the link above I have a picture of it. It's the 1st picture in the twelfth row down.

Hi There

I can not seem to get into the link you provided for the photos, as it says I am not the owner of the page, I would love to see these pics as we will be there in August.

Thanks

:teeth: When we were at Pop, we walked down to the furthest 50's bldg, walked to the top floor and enjoyed the fireworks. I might add that at most there might have been 2 other people there on any night. We would not have interfered with somebody who was staying on that floor, but it was never a problem.

We stayed in the 60's, ground floor, with a pool view and this worked well for us. We are staying in July in the same bldg. :Pinkbounc The the 90's and the 50's can involve a bit of a walk to the food court, especially relevant at the end of the day...and depending on the location of the room. But having said that, I would still rather be there than the POR resort where walking to the food court was a real pain! I could never get this rate at POR.

I noticed that the Pop removed the Vanilla Coke and replaced it with apple juice, I am wondering why? as vanilla coke was the favorite drink with my sons. The frozen cokes are awesome!
:cheer2:

REALLY? They have apple juice now? Can anyone else confirm this? That is AWESOME for us. We spend a ton of money on juice for the kids at the snack bar the entire trip, if it's available with the refillable mugs this will save us a TON ofmoney.

Do you remember your room number? I would love to have that room or one very close to it.
Thanks!:flower:

They had apple juice at the self serve fountains, in the same fountain as the coke etc.. I think it was Minute Maid??

We made our own coffee in the room and grabbed apple juice for the kids in the morning with the mugs. We washed them out and had them ready for our frozen cokes in the evening! :teeth:

That'll be my little secret ;) Just kidding...I guess I can share ::MickeyMo It was room # 0402 and it was a room with 2 double beds. The one to the left of ours (if you were in the room, looking out) - next closest to the lake- was a King room.

Thanks for the apple juice info, that will save us so much money and now I won't be packing a ton of juice boxes for the room. Thank you thank you thank you, gotta love these boards!

OK, all you PC goers...

How were the crowds at the resort in Jan and Feb?
How long did check in take?
Was the food court packed?
Were the pools being used?
Were the busses running regular schedules?

Thanks

The resort and parks were PACKED the week of Feb 6 - 12.
Check in took about 15 minutes, we arrived about 11 am and got the room I had requested and it was ready for us at that time.
The food court was ok if you got there before 6 pm and after 9 am.
The pools were being used, the water was extremely warm.
The buses were running regular schedules.

Anyone know if there are any cheerleading :cheer2: or other tween or teen events going on at WDW on March 4, 5, or 6th? I'd hate to have to deal with that. :scared1:

We will be driving from NY in a few weeks and I have a question about getting to POP. When we get to Florida, we will be on 95 then I-4. How do we get there from I-4?

Don't remember the exit number, but you can take the Osceola Parkway exit (the one right before Hwy 192 and I believe right after the DTD exit?) to the right. Take a right on Victory Way (the Wide World of Sports entrace will be to the left), and then PC is straight ahead on the right.

Hopefully Tyler or someone else will pop in w/ the exit number.

EDIT: I think it is exit #67. It's a little confusing as that exit has A, B, C and D ramps. You just need to look for Osceola Parkway Eastbound.

We normally use Disney transportation all the time, but we are traveling with friends this time who may not feel the same way. Just wondering which parks are the easiest to drive to from POP, if we decide to do a combination of driving and Disney buses.

Thanks!

Hello all,
Do you know why the parks were packed. We are planning on going next year the first part of Feb. One of the reasons we picked this time is that it is supposedly not as crowded. Does anyone out there know or have been there at that time? I don't expect it to be dead but I'd prefer not to have to wait over an hour for a ride with two kids. :earseek:
Thanks again for the help.

I was there January 27 -- February 2. On the 1st I was at AK for the day. That was the only park I felt was crowded. Even then I did not encounter long wait times. From other entries I would guess that the parks were more crowded the following week.

I believe you can get there by taking the AK exit, and then shortly after entering WDW, you have to take a right, but if I remember right, the signs are pretty good.

From what I can gather from all the different posts I've seen it was, hopefully, due to all the things happening around that time - Superbowl, Daytona races, the Cheerleading and dance competitions and people running away from Mardi Gras and not a new trend whereby more people are going at that time of year.

Could just be people escaping the snow?? :confused3
I know if I could've gone I most certainly would've been enjoying the Florida sun at that time :)
