Thank you! Like I said I thought it was odd to be told that there were no ice machines at any of the Disney resorts. Again thank you this information- it will help me in our planning.

:goodvibes

Are you sure you can't get apple juice? I've asked in another thread and was told it is in with the other sodas on the soda machine and you can get it with a refillable mug.

Does anyone know for sure?:confused3

I was able to fill up with apple juice in August 2007....maybe it has changed..

 Does anyone know if they still have CMs set up at tables at the bus stop to give out schedules & maps for the parks? TIA

Yes, but we only saw them there in the morning. Maps for all the parks and Downtown. And they only had the schedule for the entire World for that week, not for the individual parks. But it is available at the park.

Thanx! They had them there last trip, but you know...everything changes. Saves us a little time at the parks if we can pick them up at the bus stop. Hope they have the Times Guides too.

Here's a lil tidbit.
Before we left home, we sat down with the kids and went through all the rides online. They rated all the rides and attractions, as to what they definitely wanted to ride/do and what didn't interest them. We rated them from 0 to 5 star.
So when we got to Disney we got a map for all the parks. We sat down and highlighted all the 5 star attractions with a yellow highlighter.
Let me tell you, this worked out awesome. Just open the map and bing there it is.
Another thing, bring a small notebook. Like a the size of a index card. We used it for 1: any other attractions that didn't make the 5 star cut 2:our dinner/lunch reservations and 3: showtimes. That also worked out awesome.

True there is a little bit of work, but at the end it is worth it. I did make up a itinerary in excel. If you want that I can email that over.

On all of our previous visits we got a folder at the check in that had all the park maps in it also. I usually save those as souvies, but they are helpful for planning out your next day.

I made packets for each of our 3 kids with a map of each park and a place to write who they would like to eat with. I had them rate each ride and from this made an itinerary in excel for each day with reservation numbers, rides we want to go on (highlighted fast pass attractions) and attached them to a map of the park for the day. I can keep the brochures from Disney for souv. and have what I made to take to the park.

Can someone tell me how long it takes to get from POP to Animal Kingdom, DHS and DTD? We plan to go in EARLY Dec..not sure how crowded it will be during that time frame.

ALSO what do you do with strollers when you get on the bus? Do they have some storage space or do they come on the bus with us?

ALSO how crowded are the busses from POP in early Dec? Standing room only or not so bad?

THANKS!

Do you remember if that folder also had the Times Guides in it? If I remember correctly they used to be printed on cardstock (not glossy paper like the maps). It lists the times of all the entertainment. I think there used to be one for each park, but maybe they combine them all now...:confused3.

Yes now they have combined them all onto one.
This includes Park hours, Extra Hour schedule, Parade schedule and fireworks/light shows. And not showtimes ie Indiana Jones, Little Mermaid and stuff like that.
I guess its on card stock, a lightweight one.

Hmmm...so I wonder where we get something now that has all the show times on it. Just found some old ones and they say Times Guide & New Information at the top. One for each park for the week. Lists all the show times, character greeting times, etc. Same size as the maps, but a single cardstock sheet.

Sorry if this topic has been covered already...I wasn't able to look through all the pages in this post.

Anyway, we are headed to WDW for Thanksgiving week and will be staying at Pop. I've read in other posts about how the beds in some of the value resorts are really hard and uncomfortable. Now I'm getting a bit nervous. Are the beds at Pop really that uncomfortable?

Can anyone soothe my nerves about this?

We just went in June.
These times are approx.:
Animal Kingdom: 5 mins
Hollywood Studios: 10 mins
Downtown: 15 mins
Blizzard Beach: 10 mins
Typhoon Lagoon: 10 mins
Epcot: 10 mins
MK: 20 mins
Also keep in mind this is travel time only, and does not include how long you may wait for the bus to arrive. And if there wasn't one there one would show up within 5-10 mins.
People with strollers would collapse them and have the child ride on their lap. Strollers go on the bus with you, no storage below or above.

I'm curious about this also! We will be staying 7 nights, and I really dread sleeping on a hard worn out mattress for that long!
