Then the scooters..........
Handicap vs. Lazy you decide for yourself. Please wait to see for yourself before you judge the comment. Handicapped individuals deserve all the special treatment they get, lazy people do not. I found it bothersome that a
person on a scooter would drive to the front of the line and take about ten people travel with them all the way to the front. First of all, why cant they wait in line and get the special treatment when it is their turn? Why do all of their party go to the front with them? And them see over half of them get off the scooter and walk on the bus pretty normally. Granted I had been carrying my daughters for about a half hour at least by this point but I still think I could see things pretty rationally.
so what you are say Rooms were fine, service was fine. but all the lines were long . well that why we rent a car for easy use. I love pop. me personally don't see much difference between pop and POFQ except the pool has a slide and the room is a little bit bigger. I personally can see spending the extra money for a water slide and a couple square feet more room in my room. my 2 centsJust returned from trip 2/3-2/9. Stayed at Pop and wouldn't do it again. Now, I must admit, we had toddlers which ups the difficulty but, nothing was convenient about the pop for us. Rooms were fine, service was fine. The problems were the amount of people. Lines, lines, lines...... Before you say that is just Disney, we visited other Resorts: BC, WL, CONT. none were having the same problems. Your walk to the bus line will be the longest at every park. Your wait will also be longer. Then the scooters..........

Just look at the turnstiles, deeper rows than any other. Look at the lines when parks are closing at night. They are the worst. Food court was the same way. Much like a college cafe at lunch time. Everyone for themselves. Someone used the word vultures, kind of fitting. If you children or you can fend for themselves, this might not bother you that much. But don't plan on going anywhere in a hurry.
Smoking areas are also located just outside the doors so you will walk by it every time if you are in the 50s or 60s building. That is a little unnecessary. Or located on a walking path to the rooms. Get them out of the way. I don't want to have to smell someone's smoke.
The Walmart comment: You typically get what you pay for... Some love Walmart, they will probably love the pop. Good for somethings not good for everything....I realize now that I didn't pay for convenience. With toddlers the convenience is worth more than what i paid.

I disagree, I don't find her comment rude at all. I think she worded it quite proper. I agree that every and any handicapped person deserves to use an ECV so they can have the oppurtunity to enjoy a disney vacation with their family. BUT, I also believe that there are people that abuse the use of EVC's.
There is a huge difference between needing an EVC and just using an EVC.
You have misinterpreted what I was saying. I do think that it was abused by some. Those were questions also, not statements. Can they wait in lines? Do they have to take their whole party with them? Kinda like cinderella's slipper, if it fits wear it, if not pass it on.....Also, my wife wants me to clarify that this thread was written by husband not wife. thanks
I'll agree with this part of your post, the smoking areas are poorly placed. Maybe send a comment to Disney through their website. The rest was pretty rude.Smoking areas are also located just outside the doors so you will walk by it everytime if you are in the 50s or 60s building. That is a little unnecessary. Anybody else going in May?
You guys are getting me so excited about Pop. I was a little nervous because it looks a little cheesy in the pix but I didn't have enough money for the resort I wanted so I chose POP.
I can't wait to get there.....9 days and counting![]()
BTW, re the smoking areas - Does anybody know exactly where they are all located? I've never experienced a problem at POP but I am allergic so don't want to accidentally walk thru those areas. TIA
tinknme -You'll have a great time going solo! And you're going at a great time of year - great weather and low crowds, Flower & Garden Show at Epcot... We can't take DGD out of school now that she has gotten older or I'd be there the same week as you. Now it's the last week of May and first week of June. Crowds & heat I know - but I'll be at WDW!
And I'm hoping it won't be as bad as later in the summer.
