Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Didn’t realize the whole front area was walled off. Thanks for the photos.

I should explain a little. As you drive into the resort, the area open the left is marked for car service & drop offs. There is a CM there to direct the drivers, so when you get dropped off, you’ll go to the right to the lobby. There are bell services CMs there to help with luggage. The bus stop is pretty much the same. I did see a Mears bus picking up at the regular Disney bus stop one day.

Ahhh….morning coffee on the balcony. This is day 4 of our week long stay at Beach Club. Everything has been perfect so far.
We requested room 2585 but it wasn’t available. We got 2579, just three doors down. It’s the perfect spot in the resort. Full balcony with a shady morning for times like now. Close to back elevators and quiet pool and EPCOT path.
Service has been impeccable. Parks and shows have been great with super low wait times.

I’ll post a full trip report when we get home.

Here’s the view from my balcony coffee spot.

With the refurb at the YC, does anyone know what type of USB plugs they have now? Is it A or C or a mix? Thanks!

We are staying at the Yacht Club for the first time in November. Can you tell me if the Marketplace sells packs of bottled water? During my last two stays on Disney property ( a while ago), bottled water was available in a small pack - maybe 12 bottles at our resorts. While not as inexpensive as buying water off-property, it was more cost effective than purchasing it by the bottle. Thanks!

No the Marketplace at the YC or BC no longer has the multi-packs of smaller water bottles. Disney has been trying to reduce plastic waste for over a decade now, and this the result.

They do have the larger 1 liter bottles of water for individual purchase, and 1 Gallon Distilled water available.

They also have installed bottle fill stations in the parks. And you can get water at the Coke freestyle machine in the marketplace. So if you have refillable bottles, you may not need bottles.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if there is anyplace within walking distance that would sell a small pack of water? I thought I had heard once that there was a gas station near the Boardwalk. We will not have a car.

Also - do you have to purchase a refillable mug to access the water at the Coke Freestyle Machine? Thanks.

Does anyone know if there is a toaster available for guest use in the Ale and Compass Marketplace?
I am at the YC marketplace and they don’t have a toaster for guests. It's possible that they bring a toaster out in the morning, but there wasn't one out at night.

There is a Speedway gas station near Boardwalk. Looking at Google Maps, about a 17 minute walk from Beach Club.

Thanks for the near real-time confirmation.

We were at Cape May for dinner tonight and we walked over to YC marketplace.

We arrived today for a quick, two-night stay at the BC. I had booked a resort view but got a water view room. I'll post a few pictures in a few days.

We went to SAB this afternoon. The pool and pool area are pretty much the same after the refurb. But they added a lot of umbrellas and loungers, much more than they had before. It was very crowded this afternoon.
