Cant I book a AAA discounted resort ressie by calling the main CRO?

I just got off the phone with a CM who told me they could not do this - but that a AAA reservation agent had to make the reservation instead! I was trying to make a ressie for 11-25 through 11-30

I know this is not true!

I know 1-407-934-7639 number has the ability to apply the AAA discount directly. I know because I have a continuing ressie that I made through the Disney website, (for the following week) and when I called this number and told them I had AAA a nice CM canceled the website ressie and applied my AAA discount and gave me a new reservation number! :headache:

Has anyone else had this experience?

hi all. we'll be staying at pop for the second time from feb 24-mar 2... yay!
i have read there are some activities going on around pop sometimes (parade or bike races etc.). i dont remember any of that stuff from our trip 2 years ago but I guess I wasn't looking for it as DD was only 19 months. now she will be 3.5 and i am wondering if any of those activities are suitable for that age so we will be sure to try and check them out. thanks!!!!
When I was there with my DS Jan 6 to 11 one day we went swimming in the afternoon at the Hippity Dippity pool and they had a free sand art activity for the kids. I think it was about 3 in the afternoon.

You can only book a room only reservation with AAA discount through CRO. If you want a package with tickets and DDP then you have to book directly with AAA. If you book a package with AAA you only get the discount on the room portion of your package.

I would ask when you check in . I didn't see any but I wasn't there a lot . I have heard about CM dancing at certain times but have not seen that either !!

I danced the twist with the cast members at breakfast one morning... They gave me a pin (button type) that said something like "I danced the twist at Pop Century" and gave it to my DN. They were so excited that I danced with them, they said most people don't, even though they had signs asking us to dance. They also did a parade with kids at one point while we were there.

We did the twist last year at breakfast too. It was hilarious! :) There is one cashier in the food court named Mabel. If she is still there, she is a RIOT! She's an older lady and remembered us every morning. One morning she said, "Oh, here you are! You are late!"

Hi Englishrose47:wave2: Glad to hear you had a great time and that you loved Pop!! My DD and I will be there the first of April :cool1: and I had a few questions for you. Do they have caffeine free diet coke/pepsi in the food court? (It's best for me to not drink too much caffeine). Also, at the pools, are they pretty crowded? Just wondering because I know my DD will want to play in the pool as soon as she sees it!!:beach: and I was hoping there would be plenty of poolchairs to sit in while I watch her swim. Also, do they play music at the pools? Or can I bring my own radio?:confused3
Thanks for your input!!!

WooHoo!! We booked our trip yesterday! And guess what , we leave in 12 days! I can't wait. Pop here we come! :hippie: Now I have to refresh my mind on everything and do some planning. Plus pack! :scared1: My DD is also sick right now. UGH! I will need to get to the store and pick a few things up, but for the most part I'm not getting too much new stuff to take this time around. I'll bring some juice boxes and some breakfast bars, but last time I brought sooo much and most didn't get used.:rolleyes1 We were stuffed from the dining plan!:woohoo:

DisneyFreak06, What time of year were you there? We will be there Sept 4-11 and am looking forward to all the stuff going on. My DD12 hates it when I dance in public. It embarrasses her and she turns 4 shades of red. Our DS9 will love it and do the twist with anyone. It will be so much fun if we get to do it all.

Get airborne & zicam! Best defenses against getting sick yourself.

Have fun!

Caffeine Free - Yes
Pools - Not too bad this time of year - April, it might be getting there, BUT mid-day, youre usually good. Everyone is at the parks.
Plenty of chairs - and YES they play music. Im still trying to come up with the complete list:

disneydreamin-gang, we were there in March, but I'm pretty sure the twist is an everyday thing. I hope you get to dance with your DD9 and that you embarrass your DN12... what are parents for? ;) (If not to embarass their children?)

jenseib HAVE FUN! That's so exciting!! I hope you have a safe and *healthy* trip!

When we were checking in March '07 (around 4 pm), there were cast members doing the hustle. It was hilarious.

Just checking in - I've been lurking for a while...:surfweb:

...our (myself, DH and DS7) first trip to POP coming up Mar 2-8:woohoo: . Have stayed at CBR before, but POP has so many good reviews, we thought we'd save the extra $ for something else...

You guys are getting me so excited about Pop. I was a little nervous because it looks a little cheesy in the pix but I didn't have enough money for the resort I wanted so I chose POP.
I can't wait to get there.....9 days and counting :)
