ummm...we had SNOW today...ugh...I travel thru Palos at least once a week when I take my kids to their Dad's in Worth:)

I just can't take any more snow. It seems like as soon as most of it melts away, we are hit with another storm.

Spring just can't seem to get here soon enough for me. And don't get me started on the pot holes every morning on my drive into the Loop!

Oh, how I dream of June and warmer weather....

We're booked for Pop May 7-12th. This will be our second stay at Pop-last one was in January. I called to add a room request (ground floor) to our reservation via Disney Travel Co. and the CM said he was going to "sprinkle some pixie dust" on my reservation. Anyone have any experience on what this might mean? Just that we'll get our room request? or that we'll be upgraded to preferred? or better??? He said we would find out when we arrived.
While I was on the phone with him he said he noticed we visited a lot this year-he called us "special customers".
Should I try to curb my excitement?
I noticed a lot of CM's using the "sprinkle pixie dust" terms these days. That might just indicate they're doing what they always do-and get you to feel special for it!
Hey, my motto is, if I'm in Disney, it's all good!

ok, thanks for those Pop talks..get it..pep...lol..I know I am a dork..Booked POP...for my weekend:) Got an awesome rate I could not refuse with AAA:)

I really don't want to bust your bubble but it sound like you got the same guy we got last year that booked us. We were told he was going to sprinkle some pixie dust on our reservation for us too but it was just a nice way of making you feel good. Nothing special was done for us in fact it was an anniversary trip and I had them note that as well but nothing special was done for that either. No biggie right, your still in Disney enjoying the daily magic while other people are hard at work.

That's a strange thing. But it's better than the CMs who tell people they're getting a big discount and then book them at rack rate! :scared1:

I agree, I think he was just being nice. He has no control over which room you get. It's the room assigner who does it. Kind of like wishing you luck, but in a Disney way

Hello! I'm excited to be going back again to WDW. Last stay was offsite in Oct. '06. I just booked my reservations at Pop for July. I asked for a preferred room with 4th floor and lakeside view to see Illuminations. I was told it is not possible to see any fireworks from Pop. Seems contradictory to what I've read here. Any thoughts? Thanks!:cutie:

I think your CM was misinformed. yes you can see fireworks. And I also don't think that 4th floor, lakeside is considered preferred either. You want to be in the 50's to see the fireworks.

Okay I have to respond! That is THE CUTEST pic of your little one side-eyeing Tink!

Thanks. We laugh about it too. She refused to smile for any pictures this year. And it just so happened that when we put that border on Tink was in the right spot for her to be giving the evil eye! LOL The guy who printed it off at the photopass place thought it was funny and showed it to other cast members there. Claire now laughs when she looks at it and says "go away Tink".

That really is too cute. All the pics from my son's first trip are him either not looking or sleeping lol...or being BAD :rotfl:

That is correct. We have been in 50s Building C twice and were able to see the upper fireworks from Illuminations and one night we were able to see parts of another show that appeared to be from the general direction of Wishes.
