How was your transportation all of the times that you've been to Pop?

We have stayed at Pop 3 times so far and the 4th time is coming up in a little over a week.. While I do notice the lines being longer for Pop when we are at the parks and coming back to the resort its not usually too long of a wait..

Only one time have we waited at the resort to catch a bus to one of the parks more than 10 minutes or so.. it was actually on our trip last May and we stayed at POP.. We waited in line over 1 hour 15 minutes to catch a bus.. Just as we were walking up the bus had left so we were the first ones in line for the next bus.. it took over 1 hr 15 minutes to come.. Several times us and the people behind us would go up to another bus driver for another park and ask if they knew of any problems and they said no..

I guess it was a fluke and not sure what ever happened but it was pretty frustrating to wait that long..

I know the standard room can only hold 4 adults plus 1 infant...what qualifies as an infant? Probably not my 3y/o right????

unfortunately not.

an infant is UNDER 3... the same as for free admission into the parks.
we are a family of 5 and that one extra person makes the accomodations quite a bit more expensive.

Has anybody ever checked in early at POP? Our flight will be arriving at MCO at 10:10 am... I know it's going to be an hour or more until we are actually at POP, but its still going to be a few hours before 3 pm, and we really want to check into our hotel before we hit Magic Kingdom.

We are going back to Pop in July 2008 and we have learned some new ideas from this thread that we were not aware of the first time!

Yes. if the toom is ready the ywill let yo ugo in, if not you can leave your luggage there and they let you know when it's ready, I believe.

Anyone have the fax number? Thanks in advance. The booking CM was only able to put in a short request. We have booked prefered but I want a quiet location close to the food court.

I think the fax number is on the first page of this thread.

Hello, I made reservations on Thursday :woohoo: but I have 3 little questions for all you POP experts out there. :)

Numero uno. I requested the 80's building and asked if it was possible to get a king size bed and a corner room, per suggestion by another poster. What I'm wondering is, if there's such a thing as a corner/king bed room at POP?

Second question. How long does it take to get a confirmation email from Disney for your room reservation? It's going to be 3 days for me and still nothing.

Last one. I heard that, if you want to dine at another Disney resort, it's better to take your own vehicle. I've been told that the bus system doesn't work to well, going to and from different resorts. Does anyone have any knowledge of this?

Thanks to anyone who took the time to help. :goodvibes

No confirmation email yet. Maybe I should call them on Monday? Does anyone out there have any answers or suggestions to any of my questions? :flower3: I don't want to beg. :rotfl:

We arrived before noon last year! We checked in but roomwas not ready, by the time we ate and the kids swam it was ready so we wer in our room by 1pm. I think they'd hold your carryons for you till you goy back from the park if you didn't want to wait!!

This may sound silly, but if you check in and your room is not ready, how do you get to your luggage to get your swim suits? Where do you change your clothes and get towels for swimming?

I always thought they took your luggage and put it in some back room until it was ready to be moved.

Please let me know how you did this, It sounds like a good plan for us. We will be arriving around 11:00am.

Why don't you pack your suits/flip flops, etc. in a little pool bag and put the bag in an easily accessible place in your suitcase? Then you can grab pool bag from your suitcase before you leave it in the storage area.

Thanks! Now, if I can just figure out how to input those into my Garmin Nuvi, I'll be all set! Maybe I'll make DH try to figure it out, since he bought the thing!!

oh I just found a great site and downloaded the perfect set of Disney World poi's for my garmin nuvi I just bought!! pm me if you still need em

We checked in early before and since we used ME we hadnt gotten our suitcases back yet but we were able to check our carryon bags in at the front where they hold your bags for you.. We went off to the parks and when we came back, we got our bags and went to our room..

Our flight arrives at 9:45am this time so we will be there again before checkin time and plan to do this again

If you're using the Disney Magical Express, there's no way to get your luggage before they put it in your room. Pack a carry-on bag with swimsuits and anything else you need before your luggage comes. Our flight landed at 9:30 am last year. By the time we got to the hotel (around 11:00), our room was ready and we were allowed in, but our luggage did not come for several more hours.

That's what nwe did ,packed swimsuits in carryons and just used the hotel towels. It worked great, we actually kept our carryons with us. Our room was ready by 1pm.

Yes check back with them tomorrow. I made reservations on Friday and got the e-mail confirmation late Saturday. Maybe there is an issue with your e-mail address.

I have a question, my reservation e-mail said

"Classic - ZMB"

does that mean anything such as building and or room location?

I'm not sure of its meaning, however, I don't think it relates to a location as I've seen someone else post the same question except they were staying at the Contemporary.

I'm trying to decide where to request a room. I really don't like the idea of paying for a prefered room. However, I like the idea of being fairly close to the food court. I'd like to feel comfortable allowing my kids to go get a snack and drink refill on their own. I would love to be in one of the rooms that have the lake and fireworks views (top floor 50's or 60's I believe). The kids want to stay in the 80's, why I have no idea:confused3
So...how far of a walk is it really from the 80's and from the back of the 50's or 60's up to the food court area?

Thanks, this is a great thread! I've learned so much about POP and am so excited to go!
