Question here! We are staying at POP for the first time next month and I definitely dont want a preferred room. We would like a quieter room. We were booked in the 60's building, but changed to the 50's now.

My quesiton is, what is the best location in the 50's building? I dont mind having to walk a little bit to get anywhere. I would just like the least possible amount of traffic and noise. Now, I know there will be traffic and noise anywhere, but if there is a quieter spot, someone please let me know!

Hey there!!! We stayed in bldg 2 Jukebox and were in rooms 2141 2142 and 2143 they were lakeview and just walk straight past the jukebox to the left and they are on your right...loved them!!!!

I second the Jukebox building. It was really quiet, and not too far. Right by the pool, but without all the pool noise. We also have been on the parking lot side of the Lady bldg, and that was nice and quiet, and really close to the Classic Hall without being preferred.

If I bring my own oatmeal, will the food court give me a spoon and bowl to use? I assume also there is always hot water for people who want to make tea.

thanks

Probably not on the bowl, unless you were buying something else. Then they are pretty good about giving you extra stuff. You definately could pick up a spoon.
Could you pack enough of those heavy duty paper bowls to get you through?

Happy planning everyone! :wizard:

Hi everyone!

Just a quick question and I know I may have to call CRO for this :scared: but I was wondering if anyone knows if POP charges extra for a room with a king size bed as opposed to two double beds. We don't care about a "preferred location"...just bed size and the website only gives you two items to choose from: preferred, or non-preferred - each with EITHER a king or two doubles.

TIA!

From what I saw when booking, it was the same price for one king or 2 doubles.

You can probably get a spoon, but but not bowls.

I also brought oatmeal on my trip to POP(those little packets). I bought a pack of plastic(disposable) bowls from the dollar store, and each morning took a trip through the food court to the drink area... used the hot water tap on the coffee machines, took a plastic spoon from the condiment area and ate my oatmeal on the way to the bus stops.

Thinking a little outside of the box, could you use a coffee cup?

Pop does not charge more for King beds.

because there's no guarantee that you'll get a king. You can request before hand and request when you check in ~ you'll probably get it ~ just no guarantee.

Great idea's thanks, using a coffee cup is a great idea, and we could pack some plastic bowls too.

thanks can't wait to leave

Same price but there is no guarenty that you will get a king. Odds are that you will not. In over 15 stays on site with requests for a king we got a king 1 time. :rotfl: Those darn little full size beds are so tiny! :scared:

We're staying at Pop in Jan and are very excited. But not thrilled about the double beds. Has anyone ever had thier kids sleep in sleeping bags during their stay? We sleep in a Cal King bed at home and the thought of sleeping in a double would not be very comfortable. We thought about each of us sleeping with one of our kids (5 and 7) but they are very restless sleepers. And we all need our beauty sleep. So I thought that maybe my DH and myself could each take a bed and the girls sleep on the floor. They love doing this so it wouldn't bother them at all.

I think there is room on the floor for your girls to sleep. You can always rearrange table and chairs too!

They won't allow 4 people to get a room with a king bed unless your kids are babies which they're not.

Right. I know I can't get a King bed. I have a double room booked. I just want to know if it's doable to have the girls sleep on the floor so my DH and I can each take a bed.

I don't see why you couldn't do it this way. My dd(9) would think it's a hoot to sleep in a sleeping bag at Disney. ;)

You may even want to consider using a small air mattress. Perhaps someone who has been to Pop can tell you if one would fit in the room.

Good luck! :goodvibes

It should fit in the room but consider where to put it cause it might be a tight squeeze cause some of the spaces in the room can be a bit small. At least it was a bit tight last time I was there but then again we fit 3 people comfortably in our room.

Check out Post #1 ;) under the Classic Years' Rooms section regarding the floor space for bedding.
