Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if it is possible to have your breakfast put into "to go" containers to take back to your room to eat. I thought this might be a big time-saver for my family in the mornings. I am an early riser, so I thought I could go and get breakfast from the food court while my DH and DS are getting ready in the room. I thought about just bringing stuff from home [cereal/milk, muffins, etc.], but my DH prefers something more substancial. I was just wondering how I would carry everything back along with three resort mugs.:confused3 Anyone do this?

Susan

I think that will work for most items. For some reason, they did not put lids on the Pop waffles. All of the kids breakfasts come with lids. I did see many people taking breakfast back to their rooms. The only difficulty might be if you are a long walk from the food court. Pop has great breakfasts!!!

Thanks for the info! I do plan on requesting a room in 60's bldg as close as possible to Classic Hall. It sounds like it will work out fine.:)

It might be helpful to bring along a small shopping bag to put the food into. That way, you only need to carry the bag and the 3 mugs (2 in 1 hand shouldn't be too bad).

That sounds like a great idea! Why didn't I think of that? Thanks.:)

How much are those waffles? Does anyone have an idea? Just curious we are on the dining plan but we arent doing breakfast we our using our ts for dinner and cs for lunch so we may do breakfast out of pocket a few times as we are not big on breakfast. But those waffles sure look YUMMY!!!

How much are those waffles?...

There's a link to the menus that include prices in Post #1 in the Food/Dining section that should give you exactly what you're looking for. (They do look good, don't they?!! Maybe breakfast food will be up for dinner tonight!! :goodvibes

OK! Thanks much!!

In the past when we have stayed at POP, I would have them put my food in a carry out container and use a try to take it back to the room. Then on our way to the busses after eating I would put the tray back in the food court.

I would still take a bag for any other drinks (milk, juice, waters) because I think they (and the mugs) are hard to manuever on the tray (JMHO)!

I miss the breakfast burrito's and potatoes at POP-YUMMY!!!

Hi...anyone going to Pop 7/27-8/03? We just had a last minute cancellation for our large fridge, toaster and coffee maker! All are free! Please pm jakesmom1 or go to the link in my signature to sign up!

We are thinking of staying here for our honeymoon next June & getting the MYW plus dining. We are able to stay at SOG but we hate the idea of having to pay OOP for all meals. Our budget is only 1,500.

Had a question about POP'a food court. On allears it list one of the kid's meals as Penne Pasta with a meatball, can you pick any type of sauce with that, or does it have to be spaghetti sauce? We are debating using the dining plan, but the one thing that has stopped us in the past is the lack of variety in kid's meals, but it seems like the POP has a lot to choose from. My DS loves alfredo sauce and I see that they offer it on the adult menu, I am just wondering if I could get the kids meal with alfredo sauce. Anybody know?

Also, do the Mom's night out specials come in kid size portions that can be used on the dining plan?

Thanks for the help.

We were there week before last. And my sis in law was so dissappointed in the choices for kids. No veggies to speak of most of the time. And some do and some don't substitute. I guess it depends on who you talk to and the mood there in. That's how it seemed at least. And no, the mom's specials do not come in kids portions. Such a shame as they were usually pretty good and well balanced nutrionally.

The kids meals were the only negative I can say about the DP. And we had the delux.

Blessings,
Winnie

I ordered the pasta w/meatball for my boys a few times and and each time, they asked which type of sauce I wanted. I don't think the mom's night out meals come as kids meals.

As far as a vegetable goes, I think most if not all came with choices such as a bag of baby carrots, unsweetened apple sauce, and grapes.

I thought I had read somewhere that Disney dining plan doesn't distinguish kids meals and adult meals for Counter Service locations? Anyone else read this? So in that case, you could order the mom's meal and give it to the kids? Anyone? :confused3

They did distinguish between the 2 last year...now that may have changed...i know that once a child is 10 they can no longer get kids meals....

I was not aware that you could have balloons waiting...I think that is a great idea...when we go next year we will be there on my DD's 12th birthday and I was trying to think what special could be done for her...and it's free at that...that's even better....mind you I would probably pay if I had to....what exactly is included...I read in a past post that they get autographs to put with the balloons...is this character autographs and do they put anything else?

If you want ballons, you need to order them. I have heard on rare occasions where they will out of the blue bring "free" ballons for a birthday, but not for everyones. So if you really want some, it's best to order them and pay for them. You can go to the concierge desk and get a free pin saying it's your birthday though.
