How busy is the laundry areas at Pop, is there a better time of day, I was hoping to throw a load or two in while DH and DD play in the pool :) Thanks!

I usually have good luck early in the mornings. I take my coffee (& a chocolate croissant) & relax outside by the Hippy Dippy while I do a load or two on a morning while the others sleep in. Very peaceful until 8:30 or so. :cloud9: Evenings can get pretty hectic. :scared1:

End of August "POPpers" I really look forward to POPping into ya'll!!!:lmao:

So, if you see a cooky gal w/a a black backpack purse w/stuffed animals hanging off of it it may be me on 8-20 thru 30th I would love to meet ya'll or just say "Hi" :wave2:

Bummer we will be there a few days before you!
Would've liked to say hi! :)

Reading up on Hidden Mickey's over here.

Are there any at Pop? I just wanted to show my kids a few when we arrive so they get the idea for the following day. Thanks!

Please tell me they still have the meatloaf:love:
I looked at wdwinfo and the only thing they show for mom's night out is:
Mom's Night Out Specials - Sunday & Monday - Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Tuesday & Wednesday - Roast Turkey, Thursday & Friday - BBQ Pork, and Saturday - Buttermilk Fried Chicken. - $9.59

and it is showing to be updated 6/11.

i really enjoy the mom's night out and the fried chicken and the meatloaf are both delicious! I have never tried the turky and I think the BBQ pork is new.

I am here now and they have 3 rotating Mom's night out dinners: Fried Chicken, Turkey Dinner and Meatloaf dinner. I had the turkey last night and it was delish! It came with slices of real turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing/dressing, green beans with onions, gravy on whatever ya want it poured on and super delish cornbread! It was soooo good that this time I ate it all by myself and didn't share! HA! I am going to try the meatloaf either tonight or tomorrow. It was $10.22 tax included.
Way later in the evening I got the parmesean (SP) chicken. It was good too. A breaded parmesean crusted breast of chicken, side salad and a breadstick. :)

Thanks for the info!!! Please post when you get back!!! We love love love omelets so I have been eyeing those when doing budget plans. Are they big enough to share, if we got waffles on the side?

I would say yes. :)
Okay, I tried the chorizo omelet. It was okay but the Key West one is definitely better. They haven't posted what is in the Key West one but when they put up the sign tomorrow morning I will post the ingredients here. The chorizo one has eggs of course, diced chorizo (which is a Mexican sausage), spinach leaves, and feta cheese. It is served with a cold topping of roasted corn black bean salsa. I wish the salsa had been warmed up a bit. That's okay the key west one will be on the menu tomorrow! The chorizo omelet was $7.77 with the tax included. It also came with diced pan fried potatoes on the side. I almost forgot about that but now I do remember eating every bite of those potatoes. HA! Yummy!

I am pretty sure there is one on the food court floor. I will have my daughter look because she can spot them a mile away. :rotfl: I will post later this week and let ya know.

I never eat in the resort food courts but these choices sound yummy. I may have to check out the food court at POP.

There are several hidden mickeys at Pop! I found 4 when I was there in June and I know there are others I have heard of but didn't go look for! :thumbsup2

Yes, there is one on the floor in the food court. Also look up at the lights in the food court, there's one on a light. There's one in the lobby in the kids waiting area- it's on the wall next to the TV in the picture of the fish bowl. There's supposed to be one in each laundry room. I didn't look for those though. Make sure you look at the giant laptop near the computer pool! There are others too but that gives you a few to start....

This almost makes me wish we were having breakfast in the food court this year...hmmm

I said I was speaking selfishly. I pay the extra to guarantee that i get the room she described. I am to afraid of getting a standard room way out in the 90's to not pay. I would never be lucky enough to get a room right on the edge of the preferred section.

We won't pay for preferred (100 or so extra steps isn't worth $15 more a night, IMO), and have received far out 90's and far out 50's before - and neither has been that long of a walk. Actually, I would take 90's over 50's anyday....closer to the busses :)

Hey all! Totally new to Disneyworld! DH and I have been talking recently about maybe taking the kids to visit WDW next August! :cool1: So I started playing around with reservations...And for $118, is a preferred room THAT much closer than a standard? Would we melt walking to the main building if we booked standard in August? If we booked standard and requested "closest to classic hall", would we maybe get a preferred, or just the closest standard? I know, requests aren't always honored. However, I still wouldn't want to pay $118 just to be a few yards closer...Any advice for a newbie? What would you do? Thanks so much in advance! :thumbsup2

See above - I would spend the money elsewhere..

That key west omelet has me intrigued!!! Can't wait to hear what all is in it!

85 or so days for us!

Pop has a great food court. There is so many yummy dishes.

The Mediterranean pizza was good. Flatbread crust, olive tapenade instead of pizza sauce, artichoke hearts, marinated grilled chicken and feta cheese.

Woohoo! I have officially nailed down our dates for this new Disney trip! We will leave Feb 5th -- and stay about 10 days, I think. This will be our last big trip before I start medical school and a probable move, so I want to make this special.

Kelly - did you have another ticker change? ;)

Um Yeah. We upgraded Tuesday and Wednesday night he is told he needed to take some furlough days not paid. :scared1: Which in the summer it usually happens but it usually is May or June never July. So we thought we were all set. Not.

His boss is nice and tells him the night before instead of giving him some notice. The entire reason we upgraded was beacause we were going to use the pool more since I know it is going to be super warm.. So we are back at pop with the QSDP and we just added the WP and more option.

So I cancled all our adr's but Garden Grill dinner and T-rex we will pay OP for those. We used the QSDP last year and actually prefer it so I wasn't so sad to cancle the adrs. I did have to pay the 50.00 change fee which was fine. I would rather take money out of savings for things needed not vacation.

Ok my soap dish is done for the evening.
