Any manicurist/pedicurists here?

I've only had a pedicure one time in my life (im 54). I DESPISE anyone touching my feet. LOATHE IT!!!!!!!!!!! Lol

But I know I desperately need one and would really like to go. Is there a way to to do the pedicure without touching the bottom of the foot (especially the arch). Dumb question I know but I think I could tolerate if the person could scrub the backs of the heels, and the tops of the feet. And do the toenails. But I literally cannot stand the bottom of my feet touched. Have you ever had such a request!

I'm not a pedicurist, but I do get them every two weeks. I'm trying to envision how they'd go about it without touching the bottom of your foot, even if you were not having anything done to the bottom of your foot they'd probably need to hold/manhandle your foot in such a way as to get to your heels. BUT I know a good pedicurist will probably be able to help you. This may be something you want to maybe ask a trusted friend/relative for a recommendation about. Or maybe go to a nicer spa vs. a everyday place.

I live in the land of Asian nail salons (and pizzerias). I hate pedicures, or anyone touching my feet. I’ve also wondered this, forget the leg massage, get the heel shaver, and paint my toenails.most of my friends get their nails done regularly, I should have them ask.

I think just holding the foot wouldn't be too too bad for me, but the scrubbing of the bottom is just too intense for me. LOL

I think what you want is a polish or polish change and not a pedicure. The place I go to does both.

It is sometimes hard to tell them what you want bc they often don’t speak fluent English. I love pedicures but don’t go enough bc I have foot pain and don’t like the foot massage. The times that I’ve asked not to have it done they do it anyway.
