It'll be our honeymoon at PoP Century from the 05/20 till yhe 05/29.
Ballance paid in full and now I need to chill down to enjoy my wedding celebration! :goodvibes

Hope you have a marvelous wedding and magical honeymoon

Ok, we have been to WDW many times:thumbsup2 and have ALWAYS requested connecting rooms but have NEVER gotten connecting rooms!!:headache: Is there a trick to this that I am missing? We are staying preferred, only request we have on our reservation is connecting rooms and our rooms where booked together. How likely are we to finally receive them?:confused3 If we don't get connecting can we ask to be moved the next day? TIA

Did you fax the room request line prior?

No we have not tried this method. Will it help?
Faxing does not necessarily help - now with the new computer room assignments, not sure how many room assigners check the faxes - but it might not hurt. :)

Be sure your room reservations are linked, ask for connecting, not adjoining, do not use on line check-in. At front desk check-in, before your keys are made up, ask if they can please can try to find you connecting rooms - if the CM does not look very hard, ask for a front desk manager and ask her/him to please look and that you'd be willing to move the next day if that would help.:thumbsup2

Fingers crossed and hope it happens this time. We have requested and received connecting rooms 3 times with a large group.

Good luck and have a great trip!!! :goodvibes

It's so strange to me that you still haven't received connecting rooms upon requesting them. I have always received connecting and/or adjoining (if that is what we had asked for). I have more trouble getting the medically-necessary refrigerator delivered. LOL :lmao:

My suggestion would be to ask for the connecting rooms when you arrive. My experience is that the CMs will try to give you want you want if the space is available. Good luck! :thumbsup2

It is weird that we have gotten connecting rooms. Each time our rooms have been booked together, we have asked for connecting and always gotten adjoining!!:rolleyes1 I just don't understand it!

I think this time we will asked to be moved if we do not receive the connecting rooms even if that means moving the next morning. I know that it is not necessary that we have connecting rooms but it would be nice not have to listen to the door open/close everytime they want to tell nanny/papa something or talk to aunt lizzy. :rotfl:

All I can do is hope for pixie dust pixiedust: and keep on planning. :goodvibes

Minnie and Nana,
Since online check in started I have used it and then asked to move when we get there if what we requested is not given. I have also always had to wait till the next day to move. I use online check in so they know what time of day to expect me.

I think the only reason it is requested not to use the online check in if you are going to ask to move is so the line moves fast is that why you request not to use online check in with requests? Just curious if there are other reasons why if you have a request you should use the regular line.

 This is why I suggested not using on line check-in. Several DIS CM's have explained that on line check-in is meant for those who plan to pick up their packet and go (a quick stop!). If a guest has certain room requests they hope are met and plan to work with the CM if the requests were not fulfilled, then that guest is best checking in at the front desk. :thumbsup2

While the on line check-in CM's can still help, the purpose of checking in on line is to keep the process streamline for those guests - therefore it's not really fair for guests with requests important enough that they would ask to be moved to use on line check-in. :) Clear as mud??? :rotfl:

Does POP still supply H2O products? Shampoo, conditioner, bath soap? Thanks!!

The H2O Aquatics bath products are only available in the Deluxe and DVC resorts, the products that come in the other resorts are still Disney bath products but they do a shampoo/conditioner combination and the soap bar is different. Both product lines are available for sale in the gift shops though.

The one time that I requested connecting rooms, I got it. It was stated when I booked with Disney directly, and I double checked when we checked in and they had it. It was the only request we had. We did not request preferred or any particular building. We got 80's. I don't think we did online check-in.. but I"m not sure. But when we checked it, there was hardly anybody there.

I thought the blue and black shampoo/conditioner and the soap at Pop is also made by H20. Pretty sure the ones I have from last September say that on the back.

They are certainly not the same line or products as those at the deluxe and DVC resorts though, that I agree with.

All the toiletries at the Disney resorts are H2O+ products as they are the "exclusive provider" for WDW, but what you get at Pop is not the Aquatics line that is offered at the higher end resorts. If you go to the H2O+ company website you can find the different products in their Disney catalog - the deluxes have the Aquatics line, the values and mods have the Bathtime With Mickey line.

I stayed one night last sunday at Pop. I didn't fax my request this time around since it was just 1 night, but I had made my request on the phone. I had asked for 50's 1st floor poolside. When I got there they told me I would be in 90's. Completely the other side. I wasn't happy and asked for my request. I said I would wait. We didn;t need the room right away. This was before noon. The girl looked and looked and looked, and honestly I got the feeling she didn;t know what she was doing. She said she found one for me and circled the area on the map. I said great and went to our room. It was NOT where she circled. It was in the building that jets out behind the hukebox and we were the 2nd to last door. No where near the pool. But the 50's pool was closed for some reason anyways. I just gave up at that point since it was only 1 night and we were going to be at the parks most of the day. We took a quick swim in the hippy Dippy pool and boy was that a hike! But we had a good time

Another note. I left my camera charger plugged in when I left on Monday and didn't realize it till late afternoon. I called and got a major run a round of course, since you can't call pop directly. I finally was tol that the lost and found fopr Pop closes at 4 (it was 4:30) so I had to wait til lthe next day to even find out if they had it. They did, but what a pain in the butt. Why couldn't they keep it at the resort for at least one day?
I also lost a SD card for my point and shoot while at Disney, but I don't know where . I have called the parks and so far it hasn't been found, but I don't have faith in them since my first report was never noted.
I had to call a different number fopr Pops lost and found and the person there told me that if it was lost on property rather than your room , you would never get it back because they throw those away. They have no way to look at the pictures so they just discard them. I was really mad about this. After all isn't the theme this year memories?

Yup... that's exactly right... I happen to have several bottles of both products in my bathroom as I hoard the stuff!! :rotfl2: I wonder if the price on the website is less than buying at the resort gift shop. I  the scent of the Aquatics line. Not super wild about the Bathtime with Mickey line, but I have a Mickey themed guest bathroom in my basement and it sure looks nice to have a neat little supply of the products on the counter and in the tub. :yay:

WHAT:scared1: That's outrageous!! So much so that it can't be correct. I will ask my dearest friend Eddie who works at Ft. W if this is true. He's been with WDW for 22 years. He'd know for sure. How could they NOT have a way to view the pictures?:confused3 The only reason I'd bet that you might not get an SD card back is that they're so small, and there is very little variance in how they look, so unless they could look at it and your name and address was the first pic... Makes you want to put a teeny tiny address label on your SD card.

We have stayed at Pop several times, never made any requests, and always have been happy wth our rooms - but then again, as long as I was on Disney property, and the room was nice and clean, I probably wouldn't care where I was staying!:lmao:

Thats what she told me to do in the future. Put my name on the outside. But they are so small, how can you?
