I don't have any recommendations for you for preferred rooms ( we have been to POP our last 3 trips but always stayed in non-preferred) - But I did want to say, we will be there the same time (5/27-6/5) and our 7 year old son is also named Liam. :) So if you hear some crazy Mom yelling "LIAM" in the pool it will probably be me! ;)

Super funny. If I hear a crazy mom yelling Liam at the pool I will make sure to come over and say hi to you. You will also be flying out on the exact day of his 9th birthday:rotfl2:

I could be wrong - wouldn't be the first time and definately won't be the last:laughing: - but I didn't think there was ever a place to put in a room request when checking in online? I know for sure when we did it last August there wasn't..has it changed? :confused3

No place for room requests on online check in. They have a few things like 1st floor and crib, but not an actual room request.

Hello,I have just rang them again, and spoke to a different CM-and again i have been told to phone back tomorrow as i am a day short in them accessing my reservation :confused3.Could it be because i am from the UK?..x.

It could be a UK thing then.

Normal Check-In is 11 like any other hotel, you can try to see if they have your room ready when you get there if not they can hold your luggage for you so you can make the rope drop. Once your room is ready they can move your luggage to your room.

It's 3 PM, but you can basically check in any time earlier, you just may not get your room till later.

Are there towels available in the pool areas?

We are arriving around noon and figure we'll check in, grab some lunch and just hang out at the pool until our dinner ADR. If our room isn't ready, we'll just change into our suits in the locker room but we would need towels. should I ask for some when we check in or do they have extras near the pools.

Pop does not have pool towels available. You'll have to ask someone. Or throw one into your carry on or luggage (if you're not using DME).

Thanks so much...that will save me a trip, I'll just ask when we check in :thumbsup2

I've never gotten it -- only moms can ;) -- but it's special entree in Everything Pop! I want to say it includes meatloaf but I am really not sure about that.

Check out WDW restaurant menus by allears !!They have chicken, turkey pork and I believe meatloaf !!

I've tried the fried chicken and the meatloaf and all I can say is I want more!

Ok, we have been to WDW many times:thumbsup2 and have ALWAYS requested connecting rooms but have NEVER gotten connecting rooms!!:headache: Is there a trick to this that I am missing? We are staying preferred, only request we have on our reservation is connecting rooms and our rooms where booked together. How likely are we to finally receive them?:confused3 If we don't get connecting can we ask to be moved the next day? TIA

Interesing, I see you have 3 kids and would require 2 rooms. I would think this would be the situation that would give you priority for connecting rooms over, say a family travelling with Grandma and Grandpa where it would be nice to have connecting rooms but not really necessary.

I haven't stayed at POP yet (less than 2 months to go :goodvibes) but last year when I stayed at CSR, I really disliked my room location. I asked when I checked in if they could put me someplace else and was told no but that they were expecting a large number of checkouts the next morning. I returned early the next morning and asked again about a move and it was no problem at all! In fact, they gave me a bit of an upgrade (from standard to waterview)

It's certainly worth an inquiry if you don't get assigned connecting rooms at first. My advice is, return early the next morning to ask again if you want to try and be very careful about disturbing your luggage too much because you will have to check out of your room first, turn your bags over to bell services and wait for the next room to be ready (of course you are welcome to hit the parks and return at your convenience) It's a bit of a hassle (especially with the entire family I'm sure, I was travelling solo) so decide if it's really worth it

Good luck!!

Thanks for your response!:thumbsup2 Actually, this trip will just be me and my girls but my parents and sister are also going and staying in a seperate room:thumbsup2. I'm glad to hear that other people have asked to change rooms. We really aren't that picky would just be nice if you could for once have connecting rooms. If there is not any available the next morning then it is not a big deal, just wanted them this time. :goodvibes

home from our trip to WDW last night!

Loved our stay at POP! as always!

room 4411, close to everything!
room was great!
no problems with buses...longest wait was about 30 min during park closing! from POP, never more than 10-15 mins!
food court, ate at twice, not to busy and food was good!

crowds were heavy some days, but never kept us from doing what we wanted!
overall a wonderful trip and we will definately stay at POP again!

We went in 08 and had connecting rooms. That was the only thing on our reservation also and at check in, we didn't get it. But, we asked and they were able to find this for us.

When we were there I had the Mom's Night Out, it was meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, and cornbread, with green beans. It was delicious. The night before the special had been roast turkey, but I was eating in DTD that night.

It is true that only moms can get it? :)
