Certainly it's the current active Pop thread, tied to the first post that collects all the details about Pop Century. If that's what you mean. :)

Chapter 3 of the Groovier Thread was closed to activity last year and all the details moved into post 1 of this thread.

I have another question to my DD is having major surgery on her knee apprx 1mo before we head to Disney. Is there anywhere that gives good room numbers near the Hippity Dippity Pool? I wanna say I recall 5105 being on thhe poolside right near the hippity dippity pool do you know if thats correct? I need to be as close as possible to a pool, main building for busing purposes etc and not have long walks? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Heading to Pop for the 2nd time this September and really looking forward to warm weather so we can use the pools (really cold in december last year)

I did not get a preferred room but I would like to stay by the Hippy Dippy pool this time so what do you think I should request?

Thank You!

Not sure about 5105, but we have stayed in 4113 and this is a perfect poolside location facing the hippy dippy pool in building 4, bottom floor!!! :flower3:

Did you guys change your plans? I thought you were going to stay at CBR?

JEN- Possibly alot of things going on that may bring us back to POP again! Although it's like my Home Away From Home so I'm not complaining but it's a strong possibility! ;)Just trying to figure it all out first before making any final decisions:)

We stayed in the 60's section - building 5, facing the lake. It was a 2 minute walk to the pool but VERY quiet. :cloud9:

We had a broken drawer and it was fixed right away. We had no issues and no problems. Busses were quick and efficient. We ate at the food court at least once a day. Everyone always found something they wanted to eat. We had the free QSP and it's a lot of food! We were looking for ways to spend all the credits. We ended up leaving 4 meals and 3 snacks.

I doubt we'll stay anywhere else for a while. We miss the hot tubs and water slides but not sure that justifies the extra cost. The busses at Pop are the best we've ever experienced.

We just returned from Disney staying at ASMu. We are considering POP next. This thread is very helpful. However I wanted to comment on the QSP. There is no need to leave meals on your plan. We used our extra credits to buy fudge and other snacks on Main Street in MK. 3 snacks adds up to a meal so you can just buy things like the Mickey lollipops, chocolate coins and Mickey rice krispie treat bars with your leftover credits.

Thanks that is good to know. We will probably have left over credits. We are doing 2 ts meals and we have to pay for my youngest this year and she eats like a bird. Once in a while she will surprise me and eat 1/2 a cheeseburger or a couple of nuggets.

Sat in traffic an extra hour today... So ready for my vacation and I don't know if I can contain myself the next 4 days of work.

POP - I can't wait to meet you!

:rolleyes1Waiting here in the snow and ice also....
With a winter full of below zero temps,...2 to 3 feet of snow,,
shoveling and de-icing most every day for the last 4 months....
Pop- I can't wait any longer either!!!!:rolleyes1
Two weeks from today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So excited for our first family trip to Disney World!!! We leave on 2/27, so less than 5 days away!!

Staying at POP with the Free dining. We're traveling with our 3 kids (DS (11), DD (9), DD (2 1/2)). It should be a tight fit but oh, the memories we'll make!!!

I'm about to send in my room request, the kids are set on the 50's area. We're leaning towards requesting a top floor to lessen the noise from above but will also ask for a ground floor if it's not available so we don't have to deal with the stroller and stairs or elevator.

Any thoughts on top floor vs ground floor?

Thank You!

Not sure if this is gonna work. I have maps of all the Pop buildings with the room numbers overlayed. I got it from this thread, but it was a year's worth of pages back I think. I'm going to see if I can copy/paste.

Nope... won't work. My notes say rooms... 4143 to 4155 and 5118 to 5131 are desirable. Wish I could figure out how to copy the screen clipping. Its in my Microsoft One Note Disney notebook.

I always request the ground floor because I found it's much easier for stroller access. Open the door and go, versus waiting for the elevator. Even for non-stroller access, I like ground floor better...making a refill mug run I think it's faster to be on the ground floor.

I have not had any specific ground-floor noise issues...I think you can expect to hear other room noises (toilets flushing etc.) no matter what floor you're on.

I had a lovely surprise one morning while getting my breakfast at ASMovies. I was just about to pay for my breakfast and a woman standing behind me in line was leaving that morning after breakfast and knew she would not use the rest of her dining plan points. She offered to buy my breakfast so the points didn't go to waste. It was the best start to the day and I still think about her. It was also very cool because it was a trip around my birthday, so, I took it as a birthday gift. I'm not suggesting people buy food for random strangers when they have unused points but it certainly made my day more magical. Just sharing! :)
