Random question about cereal:
In the Pop food court, does the cereal come in boxes or the single serving plastic containers?
I will have a refrigerator and plan to buy some milk so we can have breakfast in the room. But worried about needing bowls for the cereal if they just offer the boxes.

This will be our first stay at the POP, so I don't know if they have boxes or the plastic bowls. We stayed the CBR last year and purchased a bunch of the little boxes from garden grocer. We poured the cereal in the plastic disney cups that were in the rooms, added milk and ate out of the cups. It was fun! The kids loved it!! So, either way you should be good.

We will automatically have adjoining rooms since we have 4 minors and only 2 adults. It will be nice and I think we'll be spoiled after this!

Thanks for the heads up about making room requests. I don't usually do that anyway, but just wanted to ask!

Yes, liek others said, there is NO guarentee when it comes to Disney.

You can get stuff anywhere. What we do (because it's free!) is take about 3 dozen of the paint swatches at Home Depot (the mickey mouse shaped ones) - if you ask the associates, they let you take them. Gently peel the mickey shapes from the paper. I use double sided tape and tape them to the windows. I use them to decorate the door too (even though they don't like you to put the tape on the doors, but nobody has ever said anything to me). I use yarn and the mickey shaped paper and make 'garland' and hang that around the windows too. My daughter puts her little figurines on the window sill (like everyone else!) for all the passing guests to see. Pop is such a fun place - I love it so much. I will never go anywhere else - except Art of Animation in a year or two!

Talking about it is getting me excited to go!!!!! 37 more days!

NO NO NO! LOL! You canNOT use tape. They might not have said anything to you, but you lucked out. I have read of others being charge $100 per day (for cleaning)for using tape. It sometimes was never even mentioned to them at the resort, but ended up on their credit card bill.

I am pretty sure that I read on one of the threads about a single mom with 5 or 6 children who was not given connecting rooms. As I recall, they worked it out and they had adjoining rooms, but that just means next to each other. They didn't have the connecting door. Originally they were in separate buildings.

That is so neat yous are going the same time as us to Tusker House...what time do you think we will need to be at the bus stop for I was thinking like 7ish? is that about right?...dd(Gabby) is the most excited for that one she is crazy crazy crazy about Mickey..just look for the girl attacking Mickey with hugs and kisses and that will be us haha

Maybe we can all meet up either sometime Sun(since AK is an early day)..heck we will prob keep bumping into each other at Ak,hopefully crowds will be low enough to do that... or even Friday at the latest

Yes, reports are all refurbs are complete. The 50's was the last section with building 2 the final building, but all should be done now.

Yes, that's right. We just recently stayed there, and the cereal is in those little plastic bowl with the peel back top. My cereal wasn't sold at Pop, so I brought my Kashi Go Lean in Tupperware and some Tupperware bowls. Rinsed the bowls in the mug wash station.

Back from a great stay at Pop! We arrived on December 20 and left December 26. We were so lucky to have great weather our whole stay! Our room requests were all met, ground floor, lake facing. We were put in Building 3, room 3121. Love the new rooms! We had the free quick service dining during our stay, but it was too much food, I gained 3 lbs! We had trouble using the snack credits. We still had 29 snack credits on our 2nd to last day. Ended up grabbing snacks from the food court to use them up before we left. (Our only problem was a leaky tub faucet and the bath fan did not work. Left a note to housekeeping in the morning and when we arrived back to our room that night, it was all fixed, with a message from the supervisor apologizing and telling us to let him know if we have any more problems.) I "only" took about 170 pictures during our whole stay, much less than usual, but I did get a few from Pop, so I will share them with you:

That is so awesome. It looks like the bus might be our meet up spot after all. We are getting closer and closer I can barely stand it..I already pulled out the suitcases! Like I said before it is myself(Noelle), dh(Tony), and dd3 (Gabby) you can't miss us dh is like 6'4" and dd is so loud she will make sure everyone knows who she is.

I just changed my ressie at the Tuskar House. We're eatting at 8:30 now, so I may not see you guys on the bus . But maybe we'll be there - never know! I'll hop on when we get there from my phone (slow, but works) and let you know what room we're in!
