Hi all! I was just wondering if the refrigerators at POP the same size as the fridges at the mods. I know they cost an additional $12 plus tax per night, and I've heard they're "dorm size" but we're going with a large group and are trying to see if only one room can rent a fridge to keep milk and water cold, or if we'll each have to rent one - which is not at all what we want to do.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!! :santa:

I got one in September and we kept about 6 bottles of water, maybe 6 sodas in there and a few juices and a milk in the door (individual size juices and milk) along with my daughter's medicine. It worked for us because there were only 3 of us and we would take sodas/water out for the day at the parks and replace them and they were cold when we got back in the evening.

This will sound ridiculous, but when I went, everyone wanted to know about the renovations going on, so I took pictures of the place....A LOT OF PICTURES. Including one of the fridge. (my husband thought I was crazy....but look, it came in handy!) You can click on the picture to make it bigger. Hope this helps.

Merry Christmas/Happy New Year :santa:

That sounds like a really neat idea..my daughter would love that as well..where do you get the stuff to decorate at?

You can get stuff anywhere. What we do (because it's free!) is take about 3 dozen of the paint swatches at Home Depot (the mickey mouse shaped ones) - if you ask the associates, they let you take them. Gently peel the mickey shapes from the paper. I use double sided tape and tape them to the windows. I use them to decorate the door too (even though they don't like you to put the tape on the doors, but nobody has ever said anything to me). I use yarn and the mickey shaped paper and make 'garland' and hang that around the windows too. My daughter puts her little figurines on the window sill (like everyone else!) for all the passing guests to see. Pop is such a fun place - I love it so much. I will never go anywhere else - except Art of Animation in a year or two!

Talking about it is getting me excited to go!!!!! 37 more days!

Since I have 3 boys it should be easy to find us...especially with the all the Phillies and Eagles gear on. A Philly-Pop gathering pool side sounds fun!

Yes it does sound fun...I can get on board with the Phillies stuff but not so sure on the Eagles :lmao:

Okay Philly/Jersey: Should we try to meet at the pool?!? Kind of hard to plan pool time between all the all the parks, but a quick "hi" may be kinda fun!

I'm sure my husband will be sporting some kind of Phillies gear, my daughter will probably be wearing her Jackson jersey, and I'll have on my Eagles bathing suit. It's completely appropriate, since the Eagles will be going to the Superbowl the following weekend! :thumbsup2

Random question about cereal:
In the Pop food court, does the cereal come in boxes or the single serving plastic containers?
I will have a refrigerator and plan to buy some milk so we can have breakfast in the room. But worried about needing bowls for the cereal if they just offer the boxes.
Thanks! ;)

:lmao: I love that Vick is playing great, BUT, your statement just isn't possible. The Eagles are in the NFC, and 2 teams from the NFC can't play each other in the Super Bowl. Since, the Saint's will be the NFC representative in the Super Bowl, the Eagles won't be there. :confused3 They probably would have lost in the NFC Championship game to the aforementioned and current Super Bowl champs.......The New Orleans Saints! 2 Dat!!!!!!!!

Just a warning. There have been quite a few reports of people not getting adjoining (and, I assume you are actually thinking connecting - rooms with a door between them), even if they had 4 minors and 2 adults. And, even though the reservation person (and even the reservation) said that it was guaranteed. In the end, they were told that they could put an adult and two kids in each room - so there was no need for connecting rooms.

I think it generally does work (i.e. they get connecting rooms), but just a wanted to warn you.

I am pretty sure that I read on one of the threads about a single mom with 5 or 6 children who was not given connecting rooms. As I recall, they worked it out and they had adjoining rooms, but that just means next to each other. They didn't have the connecting door. Originally they were in separate buildings. :scared1:

Just booked on the last day of free dining and we are going back to POP:thumbsup:dance3: We love POP, it's our Disney home. But my boys are getting bigger so this may be our last stay at POP. We'll probably move across the lake when the Art of Animation Inn opens(at least we'll be a walk across the bridge).

Granted it's been 2 yrs, but when we were there last, they had those plastic, single serving cereal bowl things that you just peel the top off and add milk.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU TammiIDZ!!! I was going to ask if anyone had a picture of the fridge, then I stopped myself because I thought everyone might think I was crazy for asking for a photo of an appliance :rotfl:

You really helped us out! Can't wait for our February stay!
