I beleive the new mugs came out sometime in Feb. Yes they have them. I think all resorts have them now. I can't see why they wouldn't after all this time.

Are the mugs all the same, no matter which resort you go to or do they vary based on resort or if value, moderate, or deluxe? Just curious if POP has it's own that says POP. Love them for souvenirs. I haven't been to a resort in awhile. Last time, it said hotel name on it.

TIA.

Mugs at all resorts have the same design now.

We were at Pop June 19-25 and there definitely were no icees or any type of frozen drinks there. Had to get our fill at Epcot. :-)

It's been at least a couple years that the Icee machines are gone. :( They were replaced with those Iced Tea dispensers. While I love sweet tea, ds's and dh were not happy.

Janabanas, my TR has pics of the mugs from March. However, yellow is not a color presently out. It was replaced by black, though one of the cm's told me that some of the resorts may still be selling yellow. The other 2 colors are pink and blue.

Thanks for the info!!

Hello, wonderful POP people!:goodvibes
I was wondering if anyone can fill me in on how the laundry works at the POP? We will be in Orlando for 13 nights, and I will definitely have to do at least three, if not four or five, loads of laundry. I am hoping that it is quick and fairly painless, so I want to have a plan.

We have requested building 4, so if we end up there, is there a laundry room in that building? Are there plenty of machines? Should I bring my own detergent? I am hoping that I can do all the loads in one afternoon by using multiple machines at a time. Does anyone know the cost per washer and per dryer?

Thanks!

Yeah, I know. They put in the iced tea machines shortly before our trip in 2009. I prefer the teas, but the kids miss the frozen cokes. I'm just wondering why the updated menu (as of 6/11) referred to in an earlier post lists them as being available. They've definitely been gone 2+ years.

You can find the locations of the laundry rooms on the map in the first post. They are near the pools. You can bring your own detergent or you can buy it there. I think the cost is $2 per load, but you should check the first post of this thread to be sure.

We were just at WDW staying at Pop end of May/beginning of June and had great trip. We thought about taking a "before school starts" beach trip, Pensacola Beach, but guess what it has evolved into. :rolleyes1 Checking into Pop on July 24 for 5 or 6 nights, not sure yet. Just can't help ourselves!

Woot! Have a great time. We were thinking of taking the girls on a Royal Carribean Dreamworks cruise for 7 nights. I was thinking of how to work 5 disney days in there. LOL Staying at pop even without FD works out to be cheaper for longer. So I'm sort of leaning in that direction again.:rotfl:

We just booked our 2012 trip at Pop for June 8-16. We didn't request the fridge for our room. What is the best way to get a fridge without paying the 10 bucks a day rate?

Question for the day: our normal routine when we travel is to have a light breakfast in the hotel, usually bagels with cream cheese and yogurt or a piece of fruit, before we head out for the day's events. My plan so far has been to pay to have the fridge at the POP, and have the necessary groceries delivered. DH and I were talking about this today, and we started questioning if it is worth the hassle to do this, and that it might be simpler to just get breakfast at the food court. So, my question for you seasoned resort visitors is how early does the food court start serving? Would we have time for someone to run and grab a few items for everyone, eat in the room, and still get to the buses with enough time to arrive at RD?

You would have time for sure. The food court don't really get really busy til around 8am in my expereince. I have never been in there during the breakfest rush. I usually send dh in to get the girls something to split. We usually hit the parks and do a early lunch.

We don't bother with a fridge. We have mugs and lots of snacks since we use the QSDP.

That's good to know!:goodvibes Do you know what time it actually opens?

Yes all resorts are the same. I think they did away with the resort exclusive ones several years ago. I know some people want them back, but I don't see it going back to that.

Just did my online check-in for our first reservation, have to wait for the 11th for the second one. It's getting really close now!

Go to the budget boards and check out the Pop Fridge Swaps, this early you should have a good shot at getting in on the swap and it is FREE!!
