"chocovrdmicears" Thanks for the great review. So glad you had a good time and loved POP.

We love it there too!

We are going 12/12 -12/18 and cannot wait. I am so anxious to get my ADR's done. We've always had 180 days so this 90 day thing is killing me! We finally figured out last night what night we want to go to Mickey's Chrstmas party- we picked the 15th. Figured we'd go to AK that day and then party at night.

What number do I use to fax requests to POP, how should I word it, and when should I fax it???

grd. floor:worship:
connecting rooms (K/st.)-5young children:worship:
bldng. 5, not by pool:worship:
pack & play:worship:
1 fridge:worship:

Also, are you assigned room #'s when you on-line check-in, or are the rooms not assigned until you arrive in person?

I know my requests were cut off after 3 (top floor, quiet area, lake view). I'd also put things like "please" and "if possible", but the packet I got in the mail just lists that. You might want to put things that would aid in the room assignment location first (pretty much like you have it listed) and assume it won't be a problem to get the fridge and pack and play when you're there. I would also list them in the order of importance - seems like it's hard to get connecting rooms what what I've read, so I might go with that first.

chocovrdmicears - We enjoy staying at POP too and get to stay for much longer due to price than if we stay at a Deluxe. This year we are sqeaking 18 nights out - couldn't do that at a Deluxe - I'm all for quantity over quality (because POP is quality as well - just in a different way) and I'd much rather go for longer!

I agree what happened to the 180 days. When we made our reservation for 11/30-12/7, they informed it has changed to 90 days for ADRs.

They changed that earlier in the year !! When I went in May it was 90 days .At the same time they changed announcing the Park Calendar. Right now it is up to October !!!

I am glad my review was helpful! I gather so much info here, it's nice to give back a little.:flower3:
MelanieC: I agree with you 100%..before our stay at POP, we loved our stays at deluxes (didn't love the mods.:confused3). But I cannot tell how happy DH and I were when we LOVED our stay at POP. The *value* is just amazing. We originally had WL booked for 7 nights in December. When we got home we canceled our ressie and booked 10 nights! :goodvibes at POP!!

Hi guys just had a quick question. DBF and I will be staying at POP at the end of Oct. and I wanted to go to Kona one morning for breakfast, as we will be using Dinsey buses, I was wondering what would be the best way to get to poly for breakfast. TIA:flower3:

I would take bus to MK. Then walk to Monorail and ride to Poly.

Another way... and more fun to us...take the bus to MK and hop the water launch to the Poly...sooo nice! When we stay at the Poly or GF we always take the water launch to the MK.

Have a great trip!!!

I actually called and spoke with someone to make my requests, and they worked out okay. We asked for 60's top floor, lakeside, and explained the need to be near the kiddie pool, and a quiet place for the kids to nap. Of course they never napped in the room, but it wasn't Pop's fault. We got 60's bottom floor, lakeside, but it was a very quiet corridor.

Good Morning from MA!!:surfweb:

My sister and I are taking our Mom for her 60th in mid- September (46 more days, but who's counting?!!). They have never been to POP, my family and I stayed in December and loved it. My question is....my needs are different than when we were there with the kids (this is an all adult trip!) so I'm not sure where to ask to stay? We have a standard room only, Mom would like it quiet, but my sister has some issues with her leg, so close to the hall and busses would be good..any suggestions?:confused3

Also, just curious about the online check in....do you get notification about doing it from WDW before your trip or just log in and do so a day or so beforehand? Love any info you have on it!

Thanks and I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL trip!!! And thanks again for the people that created this thread and keep it up, it's great!!!:goodvibes

Definately for quiet ask for lakeside , if in 50's or 60's. 60's is closer but not many standard rooms !The 70's may be closer to the buses Prefered rooms are closer to the foodcourt! I stayed in 50's lakeside twice but it was not close to either .Check out the maps on this thread and see where you all would be most comfortable !!

Been reading through this thread, and looking at the maps in general. I'm guessing if someone, like myself, has recently stayed at CSR or CBR, farthest points from the food courts, LOL, no where at POP is going to seem TOO far from the main buildings? :)

:yay: Does anyone have room suggestions for a mid 20s couple without children? I heard that sometimes you can see the illuminations from the 50s building.

Being in your mid-20's with no kids, I would guess that you can handle being out past 9 pm and not at Pop. I'd choose 4th floor 70's, 80' 90's.

Can you see the illuminations from there? And if we get too tired, we might be at POP before 9. :surfweb:
