We will be staying at POP in October and our 15 yr old son is totally addicted to fishing- he wants to know if he can fish the lake at POP. He wants to ship his gear to the resort so he can fish in our down time....too bad he does not remember that we never have any down time- he will probably skip a park morning so he can fish. He pesters be about this daily so I have to ask.

I know at one time fishing was allowed. Not sure if it still is, but I know it was for kids only. Maybe 12 and under, so he would be too old. You can check out the first page of this thread and see if it's mentioned there. Buckeye girl put all available info possible in the first couple of posts.

Thanks for pointing out the first few pages with all that great info- we have stayed at POP 3 times and I never knew about alot of it. I found out my answer about the fish'n- here it is if anyone else is interested.

Fishing is permitted around Hourglass Lake but not on Generation Gap Bridge
fishing equipment is not available for rent on property; pack your own
a Florida fishing license is not required because this is private property
Caution: grounds leading to lake’s edge are steep and the drop-off in the lake is pretty immediate

My son will be so very happy! He also wants to fish bay lake over by the WL since he saw a show where they were catching really big Bass there, guess I will have to jump over to the WL thread and hope they have the same great info on the first few pages.

I NEED you to talk to my DH!!!! LOL! He's given me a FIRM no this year. I was hoping to coax him, but DD told me last night that she asked dad if we could go to Disney and he told her no too. No "we'll see", so that pretty definate. I will now start going through my depression!

3 hrs of planning in the morning. We talked about resturants & asked DS which ones he likes. Then he said do you want me to book it right now? I must have paused or something b/c he came to his senses & said the $ would be better spent on new flooring. And then the fight began.........

I had it. We don't need floors, our house isn't even 10yrs old yet & no one comes over.

I've got a new plan. I'm going to work my butt off to get those floors done for the best price possible so we will have $ left over to try to talk him into it in late September.

Bev, Thanks so much for the info about Pop Warner in December. You really put our minds at rest. Its hard to plan such a big vacation and find out all the information you can, but you guys definately help

Good thing about being divorced I don't have tp convince anyone except my bank account !!!

I am thinking of going in September too depending on either a bouceback this time or Free dining !! I will be solo anyone else interested ?????

Bev! If you get the disney package in your book of coupons that you will get there is a coupon for Bass Fishing so you might want to check into that.

Could some one please post a picture of the new 2010 mugs when they come out.
I just love the one from last year, it has no in dent like the past years it is just a great mug I got. I use mine every day with coffee or dt. rootbeer.

Actually they were out already at POP when we were there Christmas Eve. Sorry I did no take a picture. But perhaps another POP'er did.

That's what split custody is for!!!!!!!!!! You get a vacation when they have weekends and other visits with dad!!!!!!! It just might be wirth it........im contemplating it right now! lol

I have a silly question. Is this the only size available? I ask this because when I stayed at CBR in 2006, there was this size available and a smaller one. I think they were the same price but I got the smaller one because it was a good size to use at home, too. I love it and have gotten lots of use out of it. I wanted to get another mug when we return in August but this one looks rather large compared to the one I got in 2006. So that's why I'm curious if the smaller option still exists. If I understand correctly they are the same mugs. (2009 and 2010)
