Hi Everyone! My DH and I are considering Pop for our Sep 2011 anniversary trip and I had a few qestions I was wondering if someone here could answer for me. DH is a 100% disabled Veteren. Our last trip we diden't request an accessible room (Dh's mobility and stability can vary greatly from one day to the next)and I regretted it so this time we will for sure. First of all I know requests aren't gaurenteed does this go for accessible rooms as well or can we have one gaurenteed to us? Are the accessible rooms at Pop in a particular building or area or are they all over the place? If possible I'd really like a partial fireworks view but I realize we would need height for that. Are there elevators at Pop and are there any accessible rooms on the top floor? If it's possible for us to get high enough in the building to see fireworks what would be the best building or area? TIA everyone.

What a wonderful way to celebrate your years of marriage...at WDW!!!

I would suggest that you call Special Needs Reservations at 407.939.7807 to ensure that ALL of his needs will be addressed as perhaps there are other things that would make his stay more comfortable as well.

The accessible rooms are scattered throughout the property. There's a link in Post #1 that shows you where they are located within a building. There's also reference to the fireworks views (just do a search [Ctrl+F] for fireworks to easily find that). So you can pair all that information up with what you're hoping for to see if there's a formula just right for you!

It's actually a bad idea to request specific room numbers, because if those aren't available, they won't know exactly what it is that you liked about those rooms. You should just request exactly what you said:

Quiet room
Lake view
recently renovated

If that's what you need, that's what you should request, in the order of preference: "Renovated, facing the lake, quiet" - or the order of your choice. This gives the room assigners a MUCH larger selection, and so makes it more likely you'll GET a room that meets all your needs, than, "room 6439".

I got it. I didn't really mean a specific room number. I guess I meant a range of room numbers or a certain building. Leaning toward building 6 b/c it seems to meet most of our requests. Thanks!

Something in the 70's or 80's would probably be a good fit, but even requesting certain buildings can lead to not getting what you're looking for. It really is best to list the top 3 qualities you're looking for, in order of preference.

There is a separate line and right when you walk into Classic Hall, the online check-in line is basically right there on your left.

Last year it was the longer line. I was a bit dissapointed that we did the express check in. Everyone who didn't went right on through, but most people on our Magical Express bus went in to the express check in line.

On the bright side, the kids did enjoy the cartoons. You spouse can wait in the line while you enjoy a movie w/ the kids. You can see the line from the kid movie waiting area.

we're leaving in three hours!!! I'm sooooo excited. Can't wait to be back at Pop. It's been five l.o.n.g. years since we were there last. I hope we love it just as much this time. I didn't do online check in since we have nothing planned for our arrival day and I left our standard room up in the air - no requests. I hope we get lucky and have a nice quiet room like we did last time (corner, ground floor, by the computer pool).
