I just read another thred from someone who just returned and they said the slushie machines were being replaced with tea machines (apparently they have these at the AS resorts?). So upset.

TEA!?!?!?!? I'd rather have better tasting coffee than tea! well, I'd rather have frozen cokes than tea.

I asked 2 different cast members in the food court on 2 different days and they said it's (ICEE machine) not coming back.....

YUCK! Tea is one of the nastiest things ever. LOL! I don't do coffee in any way shape or form either though.

When I was at AsSports last month they had these Peak Tea Machines - If POP already doesn't have them (they didn't last time I was there) - I bet this is what they are putting in. It had 4 different flavors. Black Sweetened, Black unsweetend. I think there was Green sweetened and I don't remember the 4th - it may have been green unsweetened. The black unsweetened tasted great the first time I used it, but then it tasted sweet the next day. I kept telling people it tasted sweetened (not 100% - just enough to make it taste syrupy but in a weak way). It never was fixed the entire time and no one really seemed to care either. Whenever I said something it was like - ok not my problem.

Sorry sweetie (DD5), Pop Century took away the frozen coke machines. You can however get tea now. Does not go over well.

My ds (13) is NOT going to be happy! I had to book POP just for the coke machine.. last summer I stayed at ASMu and we had to "visit" the coke machine with our mugs one day for lunch!

Hmmm...I smell another Nestle conspiracy. My guess is the new tea machines are some kind of NesTea. Which means they are not nice fresh-brewed teas, but more of the pre-mixed sludge like the coffee. Oh, please let me be wrong!

I'm worried about crowds Will be there May 21st -28th.Memorial Day I know. We were there Thanksgiving week 2008 had a fabulous time! Does everone think this time of year is more crowded? About the same?

I think you'll love going in May! It's my favorite time to go tho we can't seem to swing it anymore now that DGD is older and always has school activities, exams. etc.

Crowds will probably be a little heavier because of the holiday, but not as bad as June when schools are all out. And for some reason even when the parks are packed I never really feel the crowds at POP (well, except in the food court!) Besides, if you can handle Thanksgiving week, you can handle anything!

COLD TEA!!!!!!!!!!! arghhhhhhhh...you americans will have that machine all to yourself.....you wont see many british in the queue unless its hot with milk in it....ewwwwwww 12 years in the states and I still gagg at cold tea. Couldnt they have put something better tasting than that like Castor oil or syrup of figs??? Dont worry guys...I will be there this Saturday and will rip them a new one for taking away our frozen coke!!! (of course I will do it as Im leaving incase they chuck me out!!!) hell hath no fury like a frozen coke scorned woman!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone,
have been working my way through the thread the last couple of days and has been fantastic to have all the info I need in one place. taking my first trip to Pop in August and arriving on my birthday for a week with free dining so am very very excited right now! i stayed at All stars in 2007 purely by mistake as Expedia mucked up my Pop booking so cant wait to finally get to see it for myself
As far as i can tell wherever my room is I am not going to be very far from a pool, food court etc and I cant seem to pick a favourite decade or block eitherso am i right that i will be pretty much ok anywhere or is there any areas that are not as good? I realise that i could get 10 different answers to that one
anyway just very happy to be here and hear all there is to know about Pop, yay!
