We've gone at that time several times, and I don't think it's too bad considering it's park of the peak season. We went the first week of March three times, but I will say that the airport was a lot more crowded on the way home, so obviously it starts picking up.

We walked onto most rides, etc. Never had to wait much for anything. We're pretty laid back about that stuff though, so I may not be the best to answer that. But it's definitely not as bad as how people describe the summer and holidays to be.

We also stayed offsite so we only dealt with this stuff at the parks. Even the restaurants offsite and stuff weren't too bad during the weeknights. So, my guess is that things were similar onsite.

Have fun...it's a good time of year to go. Cool in the morning, beautiful in the afternoon and not too hot. And definitely warm enough to swim most days...especially in the heated pools in the sun!

The first time we went was Thanksgiving week 2006, and it was freezing...I wore my winter jacket while we were there, it was also pretty crowded. The second time we went was August 2007 for free dining and it was hotter then hot...and the crowds were decent sized...I'm hoping for nice (70s weather) and not to crowded...but I can deal with just about anything as long as I'm in Disney World!

We just stayed at Pop for the first time last week and loved it! We have stayed at POFQ and WL, but we just love Pop. I'm sure you are going to love it.

I have stayed at WL, Poly, AKL and POR (used to be Dixie Landings). Our favorite thing to do at the resorts is to walk around and enjoy the sights. It seems like Pop has a lot to see, so I really think the kids will like it there!

My wife would like to stay in a certain area of the hotel, is there a way to put in a request before we arrive, calling a CM or faxing it. We arrive on 12/7

Well...the resort does not have your reservations yet, it would still be at central booking. If you made your reservations through Disney, you need to call and add your request to your reservations.
If you went through a travel agent, you should ask them to call and add your request.

The hotel's cms will do what they can to accomdate requests, and if you are unhappy with what they have given you, you can ask if something else is available when you check in.

Happy planning! (and packing! LOL)

Hi, Thanks for creating this thread! I found the answers to most of my questions here!

We're staying at POP for the first time next February, and since it's DBF's first time at WDW, I wanted him to ride the monorail. I was wondering how could I get from POP to the Transportation Center, to hop on the train... Also, we've rented a car for two days to go to Universal/Island of Adventure, and we have to pick it up at The Dolphin... How can we get there?

Thanks in advance :)

Hey there! We are planning our first POP trip in May and we are excited also!

I just wanted to make a comment on your question about DBF riding the monorail. If I were you, I would take the bus from POP to Magic Kingdom and ride the monorail from there. You don't have to drive to the Transportation Center. If you are going to Epcot, you could catch a monorail from there to the Transportation Center, and then to Magic Kingdom....that might be fun....or vice versa!

To get to the Dolphin from POP, take the bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios, and then take the boat from DHS to The Dolphin.

Does anybody know the best way to get to Ft Wilderness from POP? We're having dinner there on our arrival date.

This thread has gotten me so excited! We arrive at POP in 6 days. :goodvibes

Do you know you can ride up front in the monorail with the driver? Just ask and there is a place for you to wait. I have done it a few times and have not had to wait any longer than the next monorail. It is kinda cool and some of the drivers are very interesting to talk to.

Have FUN!!

Hop a bus to the Magic Kingdom. When you get off the bus, head straight ahead (towards the park entrance). As you walk down the path (under the monorail), look to your left and you'll see the ferry boat to Ft. Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge. Just get on the ferry and it'll take you to Ft. Wilderness. You will stop at Wilderness Lodge but you don't get off there. The ferry will make it's next stop at Ft. Wilderness.

Are you going to the Hoop Dee Doo Review? If it's the late show, there will be buses waiting to take you back to your resort. If not, then you can take the ferry back to the Magic Kingdom and then hop on the bus back to Pop Century.

With all the questions regarding routes to get from Pop to Point B, I thought I would remind everyone that there's also a great link to a transportation route calculator in Post #1 under the "Transportation" section. This is a great tool in addition to asking for advice.

Hi all!

We are staying at Pop next Friday for one night before moving onto our package hotel. Does anyone know what time the arcade closes for the night?

Also, we will be arriving around 8:30 pm via DME. Do you think we will still get our luggage delievered to our romm that night if we want it?

TIA!
