I see Mickeypath has new sliders! Thanks! Pop here we come!

We did that once and it was great. I have tried to get DW to do it again, but with our kids involved in H.S. winter sports it became a lil harder to do. Now I go down during Pop Warner..:cheer2: week, but with everything being decorated already, it gives me chills. Enjoy and make sure you visit the other resorts to see of their decorations.

I have what I'm sure is an obvious question, but I can't find the answer anywhere. :confused3

Do you have to park in the corresponding parking lot of your building? So if we're staying in an 80s building, do we have to use the 80s parking lot, or can we park in the 90s, closer to Classic Hall?

TIA! :thanks:

I think most guests do try to park in the corresponding area reserved for those guests, but sometimes it's easier to park somewhere so as not to be so far from the room...or wherever is left at night!

In theory, that is where they will tell you to park, but there is no way to monitor, and everyone pretty much parks wherever is convenient to their room location.

Upon check in, the CM will direct you to the parking area closest to your building. This is so you won't have as far to walk with your luggage and/or so your car will be closer to you. But you may park anywhere you wish. If you are in the 50's building but want to try out the parking lot in the 90's section, feel free!

You are told where your parking lot is for your building but you may park wherever you like. The only thing I did notice on our last trip is that 90's parking lot fills up early because everyone wants to park there so if you get back early you should be good but you may have to park in the other parking lot if you get home after the fireworks etc.

With 17 days left to go I think I finally got my DH excited to go. He is at work today and started sending me you tube videos of Disney and Pop. :cool1: I've been very pumped to go since day one. Now, to tell the kids next week!! They are going to be so surprised!! Merry Christmas girls!:santa:

We are thinking of not going to a moderate this summer and staying at Pop. The thing that always concerned us was paying for a refrigerator. The 1st post indicates that a refrigerator would come free of charge for people with medical needs. Our son has a dairy and peanut allergy, so we have to supply him with rice milk to help meet his needs. Would a food allergy qualify as a medical need?

Thanks everyone for the parking lot advice. After deciding which resort to stay at, figuring out which area you want to stay in really takes up a lot of time!

I eventually decided on the 70s building, lake side, ground floor. Although I hope this area is perfect for us, we'll be in Disney World, so it will pretty hard to disappoint!

I hope you get exactly where you requested...but if not, it will turn out to be perfect anyway!

Have a wonderful trip!:goodvibes

If you are staying in that building you may find the parking lot near the lake the closest it is a nice scenic walk too.

We are so close I can't stand it! I also dieing to know what room the CM have picked for us! We have a handicap access room with roll in shower, and two full beds. Which I know means they have already "picked our room" . I do know we are in 60's preferred but I just can't stand not knowing all the ins and out of of the POP layout (from this thread) and not being able to request!:lmao: Oh well I will just have to wait I guess. I don't how I am ever going to get through next week till FRIDAY!

Just curious what you think our chances are of actually getting the connecting rooms we requested at Pop. We will be there 12/16-12/20. How soon can I call to see if they have been assigned? Thanks.

Dawn

Does anybody know the best way to get to Ft Wilderness from POP? We're having dinner there on our arrival date.

Hop a bus to the Magic Kingdom. When you get off the bus, head straight ahead (towards the park entrance). As you walk down the path (under the monorail), look to your left and you'll see the ferry boat to Ft. Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge. Just get on the ferry and it'll take you to Ft. Wilderness. You will stop at Wilderness Lodge but you don't get off there. The ferry will make it's next stop at Ft. Wilderness.

Are you going to the Hoop Dee Doo Review? If it's the late show, there will be buses waiting to take you back to your resort. If not, then you can take the ferry back to the Magic Kingdom and then hop on the bus back to Pop Century.

Whe nI was there in March, each resrot had it's own boat. The Ft wilderness boat did not stop anywhere else and the Wilderness lodge boat only went to and from Wilderness lodge.
We had the late show of Hoop Dee Doo and they ahd buses waiting for us, and for the show before us as well.

Park anywher you want. When we stayed in the 70's the CM actually told us not to park there as it would be further from our room. I think we parked in 90's.

You won't know till you get there.

I would ask over at the DISabilities board, BUT, I think they do not count food allergies. But it doesn't hurt to ask, and it is on the honor system. No proof needed.
[Disclaimer - I am NOT saying to defraud Disney. They may not fully understand the necessity of certain items when food allergies are involved.]
