oh i plan on going to epcot a lot...i know its more "educational" but ive got the weird little kids who find that kind of stuff fun since we visit our local science museums all the time :) and it seems most of the places we want to eat at are there.

Hi,
We currently have a trip booked for AS Movies in Mid March. I really would like to try Pop though. My only concerns are that I've heard that the food court can be a mad house. 2nd concern is that I've read some bad things about bus service. Can you all share your experiences?
Thanks!

I never had a problem getting a table at the food court. Yes, sometimes it was busy but not to the point that it was unbearable and there were no tables to be found. Bus service was excellent. We only had one issue going to MK for MNSSHP. Not sure what happened there, but other than that the buses were excellent. Even at park closing we never waited more than 5 or 10 minutes.

Have never stayed at an All Star resort so I can't compare but I can tell you that after three stays at POP we are going back for another next October! :woohoo:
Pop doesn't share a bus with any other resort. During busy times (park opening and closing) you may have to wait for more than one bus. The food court can be busy but if you try not to go there during conventional meal times its not too bad. :thumbsup2

Well, I think the official policy is that they don't deliver to the rooms right now. BUT, it never hurts to ask.;) We got lucky and the chef called us right after we checked in and actually offered to deliver it. It came it a big brown bag with handles and had everything you need - not just plates, napkins, forks, but ALSO candles, candleholders and matches. In addition, they delivered an autographed photo card from Minnie with balloons. I've said it before on this thread, but it's worth saying it again - that was the most yummiest cake! Well worth pre-ordering. It thrilled DGD13 to have it delivered and it was great having it in the room where we could munch for days!

Beautiful cake! Thanks for sharing

24 days from right now we should be getting on magical express to head to the Pop.

Here's hoping the parks won't be terribly :crowded: since all the hotels at Disney are booked.. I hope if wont be too crazy but that have the prading taping, Pop Warner and Mousefest going on while we are there :scared1:

I would try to stay away from MK on taping day. I heard it's a mad house and impossible to get down mainstreet. I am betting it will be pretty crowded.

I'm heading to Pop in 2 days - :woohoo: It's only for the weekend but I'm hoping to take lots of pictures.

I'll post here when I get back and let you know how it was.

So jeaolus have fun!

:surfweb:
In 4 days and 12 hours, I'll be arriving at Pop!:yay:
I'm bringing a newbieprincess: to The World and can't wait to can't wait to watch her get transformed by all the magic.
They no longer sell Pal Mickey. But I got one on Ebay and she will have a special friend to accompany her through out the parks. She has no idea what a Pal Mickey is.;) So, it's all good! :dance3:

Since when did they stop selling Pal Mickey?

The full link it's showing in Colleen's post, so CLICK HERE to get directed to the article.

Thanks for sharing, Colleen
I wouldn't put too much into that. ALOT of people can't stand this guy and alot of his rumors NEVER even come close to panning out.

:surfweb:
I guess it was recently that they decided not to sell Pal Mickey.
I called a few onsite Disney Stores at the resorts and I was told that they are no longer available. A few stores might still have some. But, once sold out they aren't getting any more. They did reassure me that they will all still work in the parks though.
Who knows? :confused3 Maybe they are going to come out with a new edition.
I hope so...they're sooo cute:love:

I've stayed at Pop and All-Star Music. Loved them both.

popcorn:: The All-stars food courts are a lot smaller than Pop (especially the Music). At both resorts, finding a table was never a problem for us, but we did have to wait in line to pay. It really wasn't too bad. I don't remember ever being frustrated about it.

:drive: Re: the buses. We never had a problem with the Pop buses. Park closing time is a beast with both resorts, but that is all. When we stayed at the AMu we ended up sharing buses with the other all-stars about half the time. When it was busy the buses went right to/from our resort. I still prefer the Pop buses because they are all direct.

Either way, have a great trip. If you stay at the ASMo, make sure to walk around the other All-Stars and see all the themeing!

Thank you to Maplegirl, Kristineamb and disneydreamin247. We usually try to avoid crowds by not going to the food court or parks during peak times. It sounds like Pop is a good choice for us then.:thumbsup2 I need to change my ressies then. Thanks, all!

You'll have a great time! We loved Pop....we actually liked it ten times more than WL and transferred back to Pop after just 2 nights at WL. At park closing there were buses within 5 minutes of each other, and often 2 would pull up together.

Leaving in 15 days for POP after 17 months of planning :cool1: . Are there any requests for photos that I can take during our trip?

24 days til DD and I will be at Pop. Any suggestions for really cool picture taking spots at Pop?

These suggestions may sound odd, but one perspective is to get down low and look up at the icons. Those pictures can be very cool. Also, go up in the buildings to the 3rd or 4th floor to get a really good view of whatever it is you want to photograph. I also enjoyed some of my pics that I took while on Generation Gap Bridge at night. Then needless to say, make sure you walk around the grounds to capture icons like Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head.

Have a groovy time!! :hippie:

so excited, just booked POP again for Spring Break March 14-21!

After reading this thread (haven't been on since before our June Disneymoon) again I feel bad for not walking around the resort. We were in the 60s, I think our building was the Tramp building.... and when we got back to the hotel at night we were SOOOOOOO tired we didn't see the bridge or walk to the 80s/90s sections :(

This trip I got 8 day tickets instead of 7. I'm hoping on our last day to get a late flight. In June our last day we had to get up around 7 am to leave and go home. It was SO depressing! Did anyone else do this? Will POP hold our carryons while we go to the parks during our last day after check out?

I read the FAQ I didn't see a mention on which is the best exit off 582 or whatever the tollway is to get to Pop. I know you can take more than one exit to get on property and then find your way to your resort. But it seems like I remember certain exits being better for different resorts.

Thanks

Yes, the baggage handlers at the Pop will hold your carryons while you enjoy your last day. We've done this before.

Do they supply towels for the pool or do you have to take yours from your room?

I believe you must bring them from your room. You can ask Mousekeeping for extra towels if you need them. Some people have reported seeing fully stocked towel carts near the elevator so you can grab some towels on your way to the pool.
