Can I ask for a certain room? I have reservations in a preferred room in April, but after reading all this great info, my wife and I would would like to stay in a 4th floor room facing the lake. Can I ask for this in advance, or do I ask when I check in? Thanks in advance.

All the lake view rooms are non preferred. Sounds like you can save yourself some money and ask for a regular room rate and then ask them to note you want a lake view room. When you check in your can ask them then if they were able to put you in a lake view room as requested.

My family stayed at POP for the first time January 24-31. Although we've been to WDW several times, this was our first time staying at a WDW Resort.

We were VERY happy with our stay! We took our 21 year old son and our 12 year old daughter. We had 2 rooms on the 2nd floor of Building #1 in the 1950's. We were close enough to the buses and Everything POP to make us happy.

I had read some websites before we left in that some people thought the rooms were very small, so I when we arrived I was expecting the rooms to be much smaller. For as much time that we spend in our rooms, how big do they need to be?!? The rooms more than met our needs.

We rarely had to wait for busses. For the most part the bus that we wanted was either already there or arrived shortly after we did. I think the longest we waited for a bus was 15 minutes and that was at Epcot after Extra Magic Hours.

We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to return!!

Hello,
stayed at POP for the first time (also first WDW trip since I was a teenager) Jan 24-31 and really enjoyed it. We were preferred 4/3 plan with dining in room 4411 of the 60's. That's building 4, fourth floor, facing the Hippy Dippy Pool, 2 doors from the end closest to the Classic Hall. The pool was noisy and I thought it would bother me trying to sleep, but we brought our sound machine, and it drowned out everything. I didn't hear toilets or showers or people through the walls - lucky me. The beds were mostly comfortable (new mattresses) but I still longed for my own! I tried not to eat at the food court Everything POP but alas had lunch there on our "off day". It was okay, but I would rather eat somewhere else. We brought tons of stuff, and managed to stack coolers, storage bins, double strollers, etc along the walls of the room and not feel too cramped. The kids (3 and 5) passed out every night as soon as we got back and DH and I watched TV and drank Captain and Diet! I would recommed POP, but will probably stay MOderate or Deluxe or off-site 2 BR condo next time. We wanted POP for the little ones/good memories, etc. The staff was great and the gift shop was easier to navigate then World of Disney in Downtown Disney. Have a great trip everyone!

We're staying at Pop Century May 28th through June 6th. We've never stayed in a value and I'm a little worried about storage. There will be my husband and I and our 12 year old son.

I've already purchased one of the bath/shower organizer plastic hanging things that has 9 pockets. But, I ran across this http://disneyshopping.go.com/disney/...anging-Storage
on the Disney Outlet website.

I thought this would help keep things organized but wasn't sure if there would be room to hang it in the closet area.

I know that you Pop Century experts can help me out.

Thanks in advance!

The link doesn't work. :confused3

We went in November. I had two kids in diapers and all the stuff for a 2 month old and we were fine. The closet is large and there is room against the wall for luggage. We also had a pack'n'play in the room.

I think you'll be fine. :)

Not sure what you plan on using that for, it's cute though!:p We stayed at POP twice now with our THREE children and that included 4 full size suitcases, stroller in the corner, diapers, pack and play and it was enough for us. I think you would be fine!! For what you need at Disney anyways, enough room to store your stuff, sleep and shower....it's perfect!!:thumbsup2

You'll be fine...we've (DH, 10yo DS and myself) stayed @Pop 3xs (once at Christmas and we brought a tree, decorations and all the presents!)

Thinking of storing things like flip flops, sandals, hair brushes, etc. What do you guys suggest?

That might work, then. I think you'll have enough room to hang it in the "closet"" near the sink no problem. We always unpack the kids clothes into the dresser/entertainment center and pile the luggage on top of the "closet" area. It would work for some essentails and keep them off the small sink area for sure. :goodvibes

Very cute and good price to boot. I think it's be perfect for the extra 'stuff' that you want to get out of the way for mousekeeping.

I read that too before I went and was surprised at the size. I was expecting it to be really small and it was normal sized.

Yes that would work. I now get the dollar store shoe holder and hang it in the closet.
Which I must note the dollar tree in our area hasn't carried them for quite some time now, but new type of dollar store opened and they had them. I left mine at the resort in the past, since it was just a dollar, but if I can't find them anymore, I may be bringing this one back.

I had myself, teenage daughter and hubby in one room and my 3 boys in a connecting room. Having a hanging storage area in the closet in the room with my daughter and I was a lifesaver! It really helped keep the sink area clutter free.

OMG! I started reading the thread last nite and have finally gotten all caught up! Now I can say "Howdy" and kudos to this thread...love it...love it...love it!:thumbsup2

DH and I have only stayed at CBR for 1 day back in 2005. In 2006 we brought the kids but stayed offsite with friends. We were planning on going back to CBR before our cruise in 2010 (yes...I like to plan early) but after researching options (AND READING THIS THREAD) it looks like POP is for us....and now we're going to add another day post-cruise.

Can't wait to get to know you all and here more about POP.:cool1:

Welcome to the Pop thread. It does take a long time to read and this is the second thread. I started reading the old thread when it was up to 200 something pages. It took days. Congrats for making it this far.

Thanks for the welcome. The more I read - the more excited I am getting about planning this trip. My OCPD is really kicking in already and I just know I'm gonna drive people nuts with my planning questions!!!
