You got the connecting part right but adjoining rooms are not anywhere nearby or in different parts of the same building. They are not down the hall from each other or on different floors. Adjoining rooms are rooms that are next to each other. They share an interior wall but have no door connecting the two rooms. If adjoining rooms could be in different parts of the same building then every room in every building would be adjoining rooms.

Sorry, you misunderstood what I was trying to say or perhaps I was not as clear as I should have been - was in a hurry when I wrote that. What I meant was adjoining rooms should be next door to each other, but with Disney it often happens such rooms are down the hall or in another part of the building - in other words, don't trust Disney to give adjoining rooms, so be sure to ask at check-in. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the clarification.

I have been trying to check in online for two or three days and have been unsuccessful every time. I am not sure if it's me or the site. :confused3
I certainly don't mind doing things the old fashioned way and check in when we get to the lobby, but I was wondering if anyone else was having issues as well?????

Still.....I'm going to DISNEY IN 5 DAYS....:mickeybar

See you there! I'll be pulling into the POP bright and early Saturday AM!!!!!!

I had a request for a specific room and floor (not preferred, but just a request for a specific building and area) which I realize is not guaranteed in any way, and may not be filled.

HOWEVER, do you stand a better chance to getting a specific area you requested if you do the check-in at the hotel vs. online check-in? Thanks!

Since rooms are preassigned by the room assigners a few days ahead, it likely will not make any difference -and a guest can always ask the CM at check-in (even if you checked in on line) to try to find a room that meets your requests. :thumbsup2

Have a great trip!!:goodvibes

For some reason at least to me the online experince takes away the Disney Magic!,yes I said standing In line to get your room maybe even a long line for some reason makes It start that Disney Magic!. Ok that sounds weird,I know but I still enjoy IT:confused3:goodvibes

That makes two of us! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

It s the best value for the money, hands down. Not only are the rooms and pools nice but the food is great and the people are really nice! We'll be going back this year foir the 3rd straight year to Pop. I'm very glad to hear that the online check-in is working because it will save alot of time. We can't wait!:banana:

We will be flying in bright and early on Saturday! I hope to see you there. I will be decorating my door with Home Depot Mickey head paint chips...hehehe

Have a safe trip!

We will be flying in end of Jan. I am not sure about doing the on-line check in because if the weather is bad and we get delayed by a day, it's happened before, we would already be checked in to a room. The last time we got snowed in, Disney just pushed our check in back a day and added a day to our length of stay. I am afraid I will end up paying for the original day if I check in online ahead of time.

Tamdude:cool1::dance3:,great hope you have a blast!!.How was your trip you just came back off of??. we were down In the end of March and the begining of April,It was so nice the weather was great,I am hopeing for good weather In Oct heres to crossing my fingers to good weather for us:goodvibes

Thanks for asking... I actually just wrote a little blurb about what I thought of the resort...
Hubby and I visited WDW from May 10 to 18, 2009. We stayed at Pop Century for the duration. I have to say that I was very impressed. We waited about 20 minutes at the airport to be picked up by magical express. We were the first in our line, so I can only assume that we had just missed a bus. The ride was quick and pleasant. Disney picked up our bags and delivered them to our room within 2 hours of our arrival. The room was clean; it had everything we needed and was a decent size. There were only two of us, but honestly, I don’t do anything in the room except sleep and change – and there was plenty of room for that. I really enjoyed the theme of the resort. We paid for a preferred room and it was worth it. We were in the 70’s building. It was right next to the classic hall. Also, I had faxed the resort before we arrived and requested a room in a quiet location and we got just that! The only thing was that the toilets flushed really loudly and you could hear the toilets flushing in near-by rooms..it wasn’t a big deal though. I found the food court to be nothing fancy – but regardless, I really enjoyed it…We really only ate breakfast and treats there and I found everything to be very tasty – not the healthiest food ever, but tasty! Try the French toast and the breakfast pizza! The bus transportation to the parks was fantastic! We ever only waited 20 mins twice, on all the other trips the bus was either waiting for us or just pulling in! Anyway to sum up... We are going back to Disney for the free dining promo in Sept. and we have booked again at Pop! For the price and value you can’t go wrong!:thumbsup2

Does anyone know if there is an official resort review thread anywhere?

Anyway, we also did the Segway tour at Epcot and had a real blast! I want to buy one of those things now! We also had two wonderful experiences meeting the characters! We are two adults - no kids ....the characters were so much fun! When we met Pooh, Eyore and Tigger, my DH asked all of them to give a thumbs up in the picture...well, Eyore steps out of the line looking all dejected and shows us that he has no thumbs! He acted sad that he was being left out from being able to give a thumbs up! It was just soooo cute and so Eyore! One of my fondest memories! Also, when we met Mickey and Minnie, I asked if I could get a picture giving Mickey a high-five. Minnie got all jelouse and in the picture of me high-fiving Mickey, she is in the background kissing my DH!! Its so funny! I love that they don't just pose for a picture and that’s it, they really interact with you and are very clever! :wizard:

Quick Question: We plan on checking in before our room is ready and leaving our bags with bell services. We don't plan on getting back to the room until after 2:00am because MK has extra magic hours. Will they bring our luggage that late??

I have a question. We will be arriving by plane around 4:00 and taking ME to Pop to check in. We are getting groceries delivered too. We were planning on heading to a park for evening EMH. How do I manage receiving luggage and groceries plus being able to go to a park?

If your doing ME there is no need to worry about your luggage it magically appears in your room no need to be there! Groceries I'm not sure you could always calland ask if they will deliver them IDK how that will work if your getting milk and stuff though. You will have plenty of time to get to the park I'm sure! :thumbsup2

Any word on the baby pool (play) area? We leave in 12 days and I am really hoping that it is open. Thanks.
