We were there that same year except in September. That castle was ugly...I know it was there for sure in 1996 when we were there in September.....

Bad fashion...it happens to the best of us.

When we got to the MK, Dh was like...."is it supposed to look like that?" It was his first time and he said that it did NOT look like that in the brochure.
Bad fashion....yes, I have been a victim of it myself.

I will give a full report on the It's Tough to be a bug show. I'm thinking DS will be ok. We shall see!

Does your DS go on The Great Movie Ride? I would love to take DD on it, but I've been afraid some parts (like the alien) would freak her out. I love this ride too, and haven't been on it in a few years. I figure if your DS does fine with it then she would too since they're about the same age. Be sure to let us know how he does with Tough to be a Bug also.

Fun 1997 pictures, that was the first year we visited Disney World. What a disappointment to have our first sight of the castle be that pink monstrosity.

I love the Great Movie Ride too! We didn't do it together last year but have told the gang it is a must do next year!! I found several new things at DHS this year that I liked, I am not into RnR or ToT and the girls are or at least Samantha is, Kyle LOVED LMA so that is another must. Caan't wait to start my pre trippie later this year, nbut trying to get them to tell me where they want to eat etc is not easy!!

DS went on it in 2007 and it scared him really bad. For the next year I kept trying to talk to him about it and eventually it comes out that he was not scared of the Alien, he was scared and sad that the "gangster" was shooting the "cool car". I tried to get him on it in Feb but he said no. I will try again in May. I'm hoping he will try it again.

Dh's Grandmother (his mom's mom) fell a few weeks ago and broke her hip. They immediately did surgery and put some pins in. She was to start physical therapy right away, and she did, but at 91 she could only do so much. We have been visiting her every day since then and watching her sort of go down hill and back up again. Well, the past few days she has gone back down again and fast. She just passed away a few hours ago.

I was there with DH all morning. I left DS at my mothers house so that I could be with DH. My mom had to go work at 1:00pm so I left DH to pick up DS and I came home so DS could have his nap. It was only about 30-45 minutes after I put DS down, when DH called me and told me she was gone. So, so sad. I feel so bad for DH and it hurts that I can't be there right now. It's hard to determine what is proper for a 4 year old to see and what is not. I have not told him yet. I'm waiting for when DH gets home. I'm glad that DS got to see her 3 days ago when she was still alert and able to smile and talk to him. I'm glad that he will remember her this way.

I may not be on here for a couple/few days. I'm thinking that this vacation is planned at just the right moment. We are really going to need one...especially DH.
