Initial sketchy plans.
Fri - up in the air. We have to pack and turn in our luggage in the morning. Our flight is at 8PM so we will probably have to meet the Magic Express around 5 - so we do have most of the day. He may go back to the golf tourny for a little bit.
This is check-out day.

We got up early, did the whole shower, coffee and toast routine. I went through the fridge and cupboard and pitched some of it,

some that was still in good shape, but that we would not be taking home with us, I boxed up and left a note on it for housekeeping to help themselves. I have no idea if they are allowed to keep any of the food left behind, or if they would even want to, but I figured it wouldnt hurt to let them know that if they do want it that they can take it. That it isnt something that we had forgotten to grab.
I also had a box of dialysis juice leftover. I always order at least one extra, for a couple of reasons. I would order my regular strength stuff, but I would also order a stronger one. Down there with the heat the way it is, and me sitting on the
scooter with my feet down most of the day and with the seat pressing in to the backs of my legs, plus the food that we eat there, I would typically have more swelling in my legs than I normally would. On nights that I noticed it being particularly bad I could throw a stronger bag on the machine and pull extra fluid off. I also like to have extra bags because sometimes one is damaged either a leak in it, or Ive had a couple where the plastic neck is fused shut and you cant get any fluid out. Normally with my leftovers, I would open the box and drain the bags out in the tub and pitch the empty bags. This time I forgot all about it (we had stored them in the closet) and when we left to check out we left it there.
(and now I will never have to worry about messing with them ever again!)
After emptying the cupboards and fridge and loading the dishwasher, making sure everything was out of the washer and dryer

and packed, and that what we need to keep with us is in our carry-on stuff and not in our checked bag, and unhooking my machine and packing it away, and
..well, and all the other crap that we have to do to clear out of our room, we headed downstairs. We checked our luggage for pick up by Magical Express, checked our carry-on stuff with bell services and went to Hollywood Studios.
Our first stop???
We didnt mess with fastpasses because the line wasnt awful. But I was beat and didnt really want to stand in the regular line. You cant take a scooter through the line but you can take a wheelchair. Soooo, before riding on the calm and relaxing Tower of Terror, first I had to endure Mr. Dannys Wild Ride!

Holy cow I never realized how much I do not like not having control over something until I had him pushing me through the line in a wheelchair. Fortunately we didnt take out any small children, but that was definitely a once is enough experience!
Here is our redneck shot. We are front row all the way to the left side.
Full disclosure I love this ride it is my all time favorite. However, since ballooning up to the size I am, I prefer sitting along the wall, or the aisle and I prefer to have my family members sit between me and strangers. I feel like if my size is going to inconvenience somebody it should be someone I am related to. You will see that my husband does not listen to me when I tell him that I would much rather sit next to the wall, so in addition to holding my purse in front of me, I am trying to make myself smaller by keeping my arms out of the way. As you can see I did not succeed in becoming smaller.

I am not sure exactly what it is Danny is doing maybe pointing out the window or something who knows, I was probably mad at him because he was in my seat.
After getting off and taking that lovely picture (the last one of the trip by the way) we browsed through the gift shop. And what do we find there but even more vinylmations! He had decided that we needed to get one more. I dont remember how many we had gotten, or what the dollar amount was, but whatever it was, he evidently decided that he had allowed for one more than we had. We saw that they had in there trade box Hamm from Toy Story. We had been looking for any Toy Story ones everywhere we went, but they were sold out, so when we saw Hamm we decided to buy a new one, go outside and open it (and keep our fingers crossed that it was either a duplicate or one we didnt like) then bring it back in and trade for Hamm. So at 10:08 I bought one. I dont remember what it was, but it was one that already had. When I went back inside, the previously quiet little shop was busier, and there was no longer a CM at the register where the trade box is. There was one at the register in the middle of the store and she had a line. I didnt think it would work to go get in line then she would have to leave that register to go over to the other location to get the box. So I stood at the one by the box and waited for another CM to show up somewhere in the store. It took several minutes (not many, but it seemed like more than it was) and finally one showed up, I got my little piggie and off we went.
Before the trip Danny was trying to find the perfect purse for me for Disney. I wanted one that would hold a glasses case, my wallet, sunblock and a camera. I wanted one with a long strap so I could wear it on my shoulder and not have to hold it, or maybe even diagonally across my chest, so it I am using my cane it is totally hands free. I also wanted one that I could open one handed so I could still keep one hand on my scooter and keep rolling forward while I am trying to get my ticket out, hand it to security, or switch from glasses to sunglasses. Well I found a cheap little plaid cotton purse at Target before we left. It worked ok but wasnt exactly what I wanted and wasnt what he had in mind.
While T-shirt shopping for the boys I had seen these really cute Nerds shirts
None of my boys were interested in them, they didnt have them in my size, but I thought the Nerds were the cutest thing!
So
those two random thoughts collided at Once Upon a Time. We found a little zipper purse, on a long strap, with the Nerds design all over it. It was too expensive for what it was basically a nylon (well, padded, not just thin flimsy nylon) square bag with a zipper and a strap. But my stuff fit in it it met his expectations so we got it. We also got a Nerds eyeglass case.
Now this I really like. It is big enough that when I ride something like RnR or Space Mtn I can put my regular glasses in the case with my sunglasses.
At this point it is only about 10:30 and Danny is calling it quits for this park. At least I got one more ride on my elevator!
We walked (rolled) back to Boardwalk and on over to Epcot. Its a good thing he doesnt mind walking. But I guarantee, once I give up the scooter all together, I wont be doing that! There are buses and boats that can get me there easier than walking but rolling is easier and less stressful than loading the scooter, so thats the way we rolled
.
On the way there Danny noticed he had a voice message on his phone. We stopped so he could listen to it, and I checked my phone and saw that I also had a missed call from a local number. Remember that box of dialysis "juice" I had forgotten in the closet? Well, they found it and were contacting us to see if we needed it shipped to us, or if we were still around did we want to pick it up. Soooo going back to the beginning of this adventure - they were charging me $10 per box just to bring it from their storage area to our room, but they were offering to ship a box that was filled with 12 liters of fluid (so kinda heavy) back to us. Makes no sense. I called them back and told them that they could just throw it out, or drain it and pitch it, that I did not need it returned to us. Later Danny said out of spite we should have had them ship it to us, but I was so over it by then and the trip had turned out fine in spite of the rough start.
At Epcot I am not totally sure what we did exactly. We didnt take any pictures of anything. Im guessing we just circled the countries. We came in through the International Gateway, and we ate a quick snack at F&W him - Charcuterie & Cheese I think he got the Applewood Smoked Beef, Duck & Ham; me Greece Chicken Souvlaki. These were both located where Future World and World Showcase meet.
This was at noon. The next couple hours or so were a blur.
But somehow around 2:30 or so we found ourselves at Beaches and Cream. I believe this is the day that we checked in at the podium and were told to have a seat outside and she would seat us shortly.
(If it's not, and I already told you this story - well, I'm getting old and I forget things!) Well, shortly after that she went inside and a different CM came out to the podium. When people came up to check in with her she gave them the little flasher buzzy things. We noticed some people leaving but nobody was getting seated. Eventually I went up to the podium again to make sure we shouldnt have a flasher buzzy thing too. My timing is impeccable because just as I was asking her the first CM came back out and gave me a funny look, heard what I was asking, and said Ive got you. The way she said it was if she was almost offended that I had the nerve to confirm that we were on the list to be seated.

A few minutes later we were seated. Nobody else had come out in the meantime, so I am not sure what the hold up was. Its not like that is a very big place, I think they have maybe half a dozen tables and about 4 booths. We had even told her we could sit at the bar. Whatever the delay was we were in, and what would be a perfect last meal of vacation than a banana split (me) and a hot fudge sundae with a glass of milk (him). We left there at 3:24, we had waited a good 20 minutes or so to get seated, then a few minutes for our ice cream and the time it took to dig our way through it,

so that killed close to an hour.
Back at the Boardwalk we took one more stroll through the gift shop and got yet another Vinylmation
..I know, I know, I told you back at the Tower of Terror that Danny thought we needed one more. Well, this one was a Vinylmation Jr. Its a little one on a keychain. I clipped it to the zipper of my new Nerd purse
.and that was the end of vacation. No more food, no more souvenirs, no more pictures. The only thing left for us to do was to gather our pitiful belongings from Bell Services and to go sit on the benches where dreams die and wait for the bus that takes us away from the Magic.
It doesnt seem like anything amazing and/or catastrophic happened on our way home. Although I do remember Danny doing his typical rush through the airport routine and almost led us in the wrong direction.

Since I was out of breath and exhausted from trying to keep up, I dont remember exactly where it was. If there are multiple fake monorails taking you to different Gate numbers, it seems like that could have been his wrong turn. There is some benefit to my having to stop and catch my breath you actually get a chance to read a sign or two instead of running off to where you think you need to be. He is very lucky that we didnt take the wrong one then have to back track and try it again because I have a limited amount of energy and there is none available for wrong turns and back-tracking!
Despite his efforts to get us to the wrong place, we got to the right place, and got home safe and basically sound and ready to do it again!
But there is always some leftover drama waiting for us at home!
For those familiar with Mouse Gears when you go in the door near the fountain there is a room there that is primarly full of mens clothing. They usually have some polo shirts, some golf towels, and a wide variety of mens t-shirts. What they dont have there is childrens clothes
.or do they???
We gave Ryne his Mike Wazowski shirt and he was a happy camper. Then we gave Mark his Buzz Lightyear shirt he looked at it and said that wont fit, then he looked at the tag and it was XL so he decided it would. He goes and puts it on and comes back
.too tight! So as the baby of the family he has to act that way (dont know what Dannys excuse is for acting that way he was the oldest

) so he took it off and moaned and lamented the fact that he got a shirt that wouldnt fit.
Next day I call the number on the receipt, gave them the sku number, found out that is indeed a child size shirt, they gave me the sku number for the adult size shirt, told me the address to mail it back to. There was no price difference, but I think I did need to include a check for maybe $5 for shipping. While it was a fairly quick turnaround considering I had to mail one to them, they had to process the return and pull the replacement and ship it back to me, Mark thought that it was just awful and time consuming. Hes such a grateful child.
But that trip has been over for 7 months and in a month and a half I will be back again for more fun and games!
