YAY! Thank you girls!!!!:dance3:  I got them! Now that is working- but I still prefer my Windows e-mail over the Comcast website.

I have to get up the nerve to call customer service......maybe tomorrow;)

Okay freaps, I am really irritated about this.

Carly just got a permission slip to visit a Weekday Christian Education program. This is apparently a church program that takes place during the school day. I cannot believe that they can get away with this in a public school. From what I can gather they take the children out of school to a nearby church for religious instruction. I can't take her out of school for an hour to go to the mall or something, but I can let strangers take her out of school once a week to a church I'm not familiar with for something that has nothing to do with academics.

The main reason that she is in public school is that I don't believe in mixing religion with education.

Fortunately, she doesn't want to go anyway. She thought it was a really weird idea. She doesn't really get why someone would want to miss an hour of school every week. Strange child.

My only concern is whether or not she will be singled out for not going.

I would call the school. I am surpised a public school would allow this.
I know our DD went to Catholic school the town never set this up

My niece LUVS school too! Go figure.

WTH!? I would call the school to find out exactly what this is! Do you know any of the other parents in her class- maybe they feel the same way you do- I certainly would find out.

I talked to Chris about it. I expected him to be really pissed about it, but he pointed out that its just part of living in the Bible belt. We decided not to really say anything about it unless Carly has a hard time with it. I don't really expect her to, since she has never cared about what anybody else thinks about anything.

How I ended up with a kid who has never experienced the tiniest amount of self-doubt, I'll never know.

Oh my! No one has been here in 2 days! What has become of us? I miss you all! I'll come back later! :grouphug:

check your emails everyone. The Ford House Party emails are out.

I got in :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I didn't even try for this one because I thought that having a Ford would be a must....maybe I was wrong? Do you all have Fords?

It's ok though because everyone can still sign up to win the Mustang! And I'm gonna win it! So watch out all you winners! :lmao:

Oh...and I got my first GARB PT today, too! Three very cute pairs of undies to try out! And I was just thinking while I was doing laundry the other day that I sure could use some new ones...and Wedgie Free Wednesday just doesn't seem to be coming through for me!

Shame on me for forgetting the dear poster's name. :confused3
bnf2 thanks for the remind (hug) and
I would like to say Thank you :lovestruc for the pumpkin muffin recipe!
Amazing, simple and delicious!!

For those that missed it:
1 box Spice Cake Mix
1 15 oz can pumpkin (just plain pumpkin)

mix together, add nothing.

line muffin tray (makes 12)
batter is thick and looks like it needs something, but it doesn't.
bake @ 350* for 20 minutes
sprinkle with powdered sugar or if you are really indulgent maybe a little cream cheese frosting.

It is that easy. :cloud9:

Moist, delicious, and addictive!
