The Going to Disney as a Tour Guide Trip Report *Updated with PICS*

I have always enjoyed reading the trip reports so I decided to do one of my own.

The cast for this one will be Myself (DH) 29 and not embarrased to brag to the guys that I am a disney nut and that I have been there a TON of times, 50+. Oh.. I am semi pro photographer with a rental toy for this trip. (Nikon D300 and a 14-24mm,2.8 lens) My wife (DW) 29, going on 22 is also a Disney nut and a great mom, planner and all around more than I deserve. My kids are DD (9), and DS(5), both Disney addicts just like their parents. The kicker to this trip is that for my DD's birthday we are taking one of her friends for this trip she will be called DK, Disney kid. She has NEVER BEEN TO DISNEY in her life, no park, no resort, no nothing. Yes the horrow I know. We left Atlanta Sat. (2/15/08) for a brief stayover in Jax. Fl so my in-laws could pay for me a trip to the Daytona 500... In a few measely hours we will be leaving Jax to head to Disney. This is my trip report so please bear with me. I am going to try and have pics up during the trip.

Always fun to take someone who's never been before! I just got back on February 3 and took my best friend who had never been before (a skeptic at that) and she LOVED it. We are now planning a return trip in December.

Sorry no live report this time....the power supply on my laptop died so I had to conserve battery to download pics every night. I'll be back on tonight with pics galore and an updated report of one of my best trips ever.

Okay, so what happened? Where's the report. Hoping you'll write it now that I've bumped it up.

At least I have my photos organized and ready by now so that will help
I'll start with the first day and go from there.

The First Steps on Property

Let me start by saying that watching someone experiance Disney for the first time was amazing, there is really nothing like it.

Our first day we decided since we were driving down(from Jax, Fl) that we should not do MK but instead do an easy park like DHS. Our thinking on this was to ease our guest into the Disney atmosphere. It worked very well in that we still had all of the buildup as we spotted all the billboards on I-4 and even more when we passed through the gates of Disney.

We started off by checking in at the Yacht Club where we were staying. Wow that place is beautiful. Here is some proof.

Well after a quick and efficient check in a our hotel it was off to DHS.
Keep in mind our DK(Disney Kid) has never experienced anything even close to this. She was blown away at the Studios. Her first ride was RRC and she loved it. I think we could have packed it up and headed back and she would have been happy.....like that was gonna happen

After that is was TOT time. My DD had never ridden the tower so this one was a double first timer whammy. They both loved it.

After hitting the big 2 at DHS the rest of the day went great, our guest as well as my children had a blast. I will post the rest of the pics and some details in my next post, this one is a little long

Here are some more pics and details from the first day.

We had such a good time, the lines were short and it was 65deg. with a nice breeze. For dinner we ate a 50's prime time....WOW that place is fun, right up there with whispering canyon for me.

My wife had to "eat all her vegatables" Oh it was great.

Overall we had a great day and it was only the first. We capped our day off with a great Fantasmic show..sorry no pics of that, I have taken photo's of it for 5 years now...I wanted to watch one . Our guest on this trip, the DK spent the entire show with her jaw on her knees. It has been so long since I saw my first Fantasmic show I have taken them for granted over the years. I beg you people...watch Fantasmic...I mean really watch it. It is truly magical.

This is by far my favorite of the first day.

No DHS picture montage is complete withouth the Hat.

Day 2...THE Magic Kingdom

The weather was great and our stay at the Yacht Club was over, it was fun. We had added the YC at the last minute, our original resort was to be VWL. I drove our car over early to check in at VWL and rode the boat to Contemporary and walked to MK.

I got these along the way.

Contemporary is beautiful and the walkway is just cool.

I met my family at the gate to MK and we got in and the exitement was overwhelming. If our little DK thought she had fun the first day man was she in for a surprise. We road it all. Using our considerable experience of crowd patterns and proper fast pass usage we did everything we wanted to do. It was so much fun. Here is the photo proof.
