The GH Official Thread Part 2

welcome 4Joyces! Does anyone know if this will continue all next week too?

I think it will be over Monday or Tuesday.

Brenda's face isn't as odd as Bobbie's. She is still pretty but the lips bug me to death.

Ok Lucy just made me cry with the first tribute.

Loved it all and can't wait for Monday and Tuesday!!

Oh, Jack Wagner...you bring back such memories of the 80s. I think I'll go download All I Need on iTunes ;)

I'm remembering how much I've always disliked Felicia. :crazy2:

Her character was always a bit of a whiner, and really, after 20 years you still can't decide which man you love??? I also think if I had been married to 2 men, and one of them decided to be nasty to the other one in public, I wouldn't be impressed and swoon. I would be pissed. Especially if the one being bashed had fathered my children.

It is one thing for you kids to know their dad is a jerk. They don't need to hear it from the other father figure in their lives. It most certainly isn't romantic. Zip it.

I think she'll pick Frisco for this reason. That and she had tears running down her face while he was singing. I wonder if that's harder for them considering they are now divorced IRL.

I enjoyed the show today. Could've done without the Carly/Brenda food fight. ***, Brenda? You flew in to attend this even to honor your BFF Robin, and you start throwing food?

:scratchin I think it's sad that as a grown woman Felicia still hasn't "decided" between the man who left her (and her children) and the man who loved them enough to stick around and raise them, even though they weren't his and he was under no obligation to do so. Mac kept a family together. he raised and even burried one of her girls. He lived the mundane life of a PARENT while Felicia had her adventures with Luke and has endlessly pined away for Frisco. :crazy2:
Is she a mooney eyed teenage girl? Hasn't she made this mistake once before?:confused3

I personally feel it is beneath Mac's dignity to participate in this silly competition.:snooty: The puppet thing was dopey too.
If the woman feels she has to "decide" between the two...that in itself would be the decision as far as i'm concerned. It speaks volumes. I hope Mac walks and leaves Felicia behind. I wouldn't mind seeing Felicia served up a little "what goes around, comes around" at the Nurses Ball.::yes::

I have been really disappointed with GH lately. Story lines that go unfinished for days. I still don't know what happened to Robin or Robert. The Nurses Ball has been real cheesy. Almost like amateurs wrote the stories. Mac with the puppet? Max from DWTS is a horrible actor. Sam who just volunteered at the last second to dance but knew the routine so well? The only one with a ray of hope was Frisco. He sang well. Lucy Coe is on my last nerve. I think she is over acting. Vanessa Marcil is a good actress but she should do herself a favor if GH wants her back she should just say NO! Sonny who I used to love (years ago) has lost all appeal. He seems to have zero chemistry with anyone. Kate/Connie needs to go. I don't think Sonny can be revived? The food fight with Brenda and Carly was just stupid. Two good actors and that was the best they had?? The show is not flowing. What happened to Luke, Laura and Dante??? I'm hoping after this 50 yr. tribute we can get back to good GH. If a cliffhanger ends pick it up the next day not days later. Stop filling in with nonsense story lines. Pickle Lila????

When did Ellie ditch the walker?? What a recovery, just in time for the ball. (crazy!)

When did Ellie ditch the walker?? What a recovery, just in time for the ball. (crazy!)

I've had a couple of questions and this was one of them! Did I miss a day recently? I have missed that Ellie can walk--and dance a little--without her walker. I also missed the conversation between Brenda and Jax as to her whereabouts when she went to visit Sonny. I saw Jax looking for her in the hotel room--no Brenda--then the next day, the first scene he's coming out of the shower and Brenda is there but no conversation about where she was until Carly came in. It seems he said something to the effect of asking her why she lied to him. :confused3 Did I miss this?

Does anyone know who the kid that is in the opening scenes with Lucky?

Is it the old scenes? It may be Sly Eckert. His DAs was Luke's identical twin cousin (don't ask)! The Eckerts were a Blue collar family' that GH tried to make work. The daughter Jenny married Ned, then Tracy's husband Paul Hornsby

Brenda's face looks like she fell into that same toxic sludge that Jack Nicholson did as the joker in Batman. I also missed where Jax told her to kick rocks.

Thank You! Is it me or does it look like she's done some work to her face (even though she's still quite young in my book!) She just sets my teeth on edge. At least Jax called her out on the Sonny fascination.

I don't know if she has had work done or not, but I did see on Twitter that she was excited because she was finally gaining weight. She did look healthier on the show this week...but I still cannot stand the character.

She could definitely use a good T bone or two! If the camera adds ten pounds, she must weigh like what, 75 or so?

On another note, talk about total character assassination where she is concerned...... (I won't post but suggest we all watch these next few episodes and remember Dorian, Joey and Vikki on OLTL) :crazy2::crazy2: (where's that vomit smilie??)

Previews for the week of 08-Apr-2013
by Carol Banks Weber

**Richard Simmons leaves behind payback in the form of something going very wrong with Lucy. With Lucy out of commission at the moment, Duke must find a suitable dance replacement — in his old tango partner, Anna.
When Duke and Anna tango, the world disappears. It’s the 1980s again.

Olivia becomes a comedic revelation onstage. Mac, take note.

Molly and T.J. are sweet together as a singing duo.

But Epiphany and the Revelations are something else.

Patrick mightily shrugs off Britt’s public stunt to serve Robin’s memory for the Nurses’ Ball finish.

Carly busts Brenda in the afterglow with Michael, the Christ child. The fur flies.

Elizabeth and A.J. get closer. Monica approves.
Nikolas wakes up from his bullet wound surgery to engage fully in a triangle to win the hand of the fair maiden Elizabeth from A.J.
A.J. checks in on Nik like they’re old pals. Nik is not amused.
Nikolas needs to relay to Alexis pertinent Cassidine information affecting the Spencers. What he has to say is mind-boggling.

The Maxie pregnancy mystery continues to drag out as she has to deal with Ellie’s third degree about the unborn baby particulars while looking guilty as sin.
Maxie seeks compassion and understanding from Mac, the only father she ever knew.

Damn. Dante survived Helena and her goons.
Dante stumbles onto a doozy of a surprise that would wipe out most men.

Luke and Laura come to in a most hair-raising scenario.
Scotty submerges himself in a pity party, because Laura would rather be out there risking her life with Luke.
Bobbie tries to ease Scotty’s suffering — with her sex.

In the most obvious answer in the history soaps, Felicia decides once and for all who she will remain romantic forever with. She goes to relay this to Frisco.

Next week: A family is brought down low in the worst way… Michael is compelled to unburden himself to Sonny... Dismayed by Michael’s honesty, Brenda prepares for fallout… Devastated, Sonny and Carly fight through blind rage to caucus about what to do after Brenda sexed up Michael… Michael pays his own mother, Carly, never no mind… Kate/Connie makes a return to Sonny. Which one is this, though?... A.J. and Nikolas make their intentions perfectly clear: Elizabeth. Awkward… While trying to make Scotty feel better about Laura, Bobbie is surprised to field a kiss. But Scotty’s had way too much to drink… Lulu returns from her kidnapping. But she’s not the same. She issues a perplexing, baffling declaration… Ellie says she’s sorry to Maxie for nosing around… Patrick gives Sabrina his solemn vow… Sabrina and Felix dish like school kids about her and Patrick coming together.

I was a long-time GH watcher going back to being a small child watching with my mom back decades I'm not admitting to here. Life changes and lack of interest in the way the show was being written took me away to keeping up with the general stories on this thread for many years now. Over the weekend I saw bits & pieces of the marathon -- what a blast from the past, and insomnia last night meant I caught some of last week's anniversary shows, the first time in well over five years I've really seen anything current on the show.

So happy to see my "old friend" get a celebration to mark the 50th. Rachel Ames is as gorgeous as ever. I miss the days of her manning the nurses station and the medicine room with her sister Lucille and Jessie Brewer. The tribute at the ball to Jessie and Amy Vining caught me by suprise -- and I was so surprised to choke up.

Really enjoyed the little trip down memory lane, to times with the show I remember so fondly. I wish they had made some of the writing changes and direction of the show several years back. I do worry it's too little too late now. I don't think it's just purely nostalgia that makes people so happy to see certain characters(poor plastic surgery and all) show up again. All those wonderful families and friendships were heart and soul of GH and the other soaps & can still pull at the heartstrings today -- even realizing the silliness of Ice Princesses and other nutty storylines. It was the people and the feelings in the end.

Listening to Jack Wagner and Rick Springfield brought me back to the 80's. So awesome!

DId anyone else watch soap net all week end and watch all the older GH's:love:
I could not get enough.

Am I the only one who wished both Mac and Frisco would have had a change of heart and either told Felicia to take a hike, or that they were better off as just friends? It makes me sad that Mac seems so happy to be second choice.

And what was with Richard Simmons's hair? Wasn't it all an implant? It looked very crazy today, they made him very crazy. I'm not getting why half of the people agreed to come back when so many of them were made to look nuts.

I do have to say, I still love Rick Springfield.
