The GH Official Thread Part 2

Gossip for the week of 20-Feb-2012
by Carol Banks Weber

Newly appointed head writer Ron Carlivati last week tweeted that his GH stories will begin airing February 21st. Viewers already recognize his touches now, here and there, as he’s been consulting earlier on.

**Might Jason and Franco be related by any chance? That DVD points to a familial, Susan Moore connection. **

We can’t have the golden age of GH (1980s-1990s) without Frisco and Felicia. Might happen. If Kristina Wagner’s (ex-Felicia) recent Facebook post is any indication, it’s gonna happen soon. “Catacombs….two weddings….2 on screen kiddos….the Brownstone…hmmm…who are these two characters? They may be seen again on screen on a certain ABC soap soon….keep watching GH for some great returns!!!!! The old gang is making stops in Port Charles!”

Maurice Benard (Sonny) compared his new boss, executive producer Frank Valentini, to 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh. The actor fielded questions spontaneously from fans on Twitter February 18th.

Totally agree. So do we assume the 'protocol' she came up with will save Jason's life? How will Patrick pull himself together to inject it? There was no safe-guard to open that door in case it closed accidently. They are going to make that sweet little girl who plays Emma cry?!?!

And another shooting involving Sonny and Kate is surprised? Hello...he is a mobster. No matter how great a father he is  he is still a mobster!

Sonny doesn't even make the top 10 list for fathers in PC, and that is saying something. I guess he comes in somewhere before Frisco and Anthony...

Not necessarily in order, but better fathers:

1. Mac
2. Lucky
3. Jax
4. Patrick
5. Edward
6. Jason
7. Robert
8. Luke
9. Nicholas
10. Noah Drake

And these are just the living/on canvass ones -- great fathers in the past have included Tony Jones, Scotty Baldwin, Ric Lansing, Alan, I could probably name 10 more that were better fathers than Mr. "I love my children" ::yes::

I have not read the spoiler sections lately..... but I was just wondering...

Does anybody else think that Kate has a multiple personality??
at first I just thought she was hiding Another one of the sperminator's kids.... but now I think she has multiple personalities:confused3

as far a Robin's story... ah Soapdom's reality in Port Chuck has gone way outta bounds again...

BUT I will say that I like this tragic ending better than Robin wandering off to die alone from AIDS.
Robin has led a tragic life.. always bouncing back with her strong will and good intentions.
It is appropriate that she die trying to save Jason's life..... even tho there are some gaping holes in the story.

ah Port Chuck.. home of the inconsistent .. but I love it!

New to the thread (but a GH watcher for over 40 yrs!)

Some thoughts on the Robin story...

When she was going back in for Jason's meds & Patrick yelled that the door would lock -- couldn't she have just stuck something in the doorway to block it from closing for the few seconds she would be in there retrieving the vial???? There were carts and other medical stuff on both sides of the door -- heck, she could have just left a shoe in the doorway!

Did she even think of holding her breath while she ran about 15 ft. to get the vial? No, she runs in gasping & coughing....

Would a secure door in a hospital lab lock people INSIDE?????

Debbie

So is Robin really going to be dead? I was under the impression that the whole town would think she was dead, but she was really still going to be alive somewhere.

And why the heck didn't she just tell Patrick to hold the door open while she ran in to get the drug? And the lab had a window on the door. Couldn't Patrick have found a fire extinguisher to break it? And why did Patrick pass out almost immediately from the fumes, but Robin stood there totally coherent for several minutes before she finally passed out? And why didn't Patrick grab his cell phone and call someone to override the door locks instead of staring at Robin through the window like a fool? OK, I'm done now.

Totally, especially since DID is one of the favorite plot devices of FV and RC. Another legacy from OLTL comes to GH. :goodvibes

And honestly, I think it's possible giving birth to another little mobster might have caused the DID. There could always be another one out there :scared1:

I had all those same thoughts yesterday....

You are really gonna put Jax on a good father list, he left his child.

I cried so much today. Jason Thompson nailed it today. He did his best performance yet IMO... Very moving. So glad to see a storyline that isn't mobster involved..

.

I was thinking that she was still alive too. Possibly staging her death with Anna's help. This way Patrick can deal with her death in a "quick" way instead of a slow painful death.

Obviously I am not applying real world standards -- Luke killed his grandson while driving drunk, and he still made my list. ;)

Because of Sonny's machinations, Jax wasn't going to be allowed to see Jocelyn. I think he was thinking of her best interests and that a complete break would be better for her (plus, the actor was let go, so not a lot of options there...).

Sonny has yet to learn from a mistake, he's always right, and he always puts his selfish desire to be with his kids above their best interests. So yes, I am really gonna put Jax on a good father list that Sonny doesn't even make. Saying "I love my children" repeatedly does not make a good father. Actions speak louder than words, and all his actions say he selfishly puts his needs and wants ahead of his children.

I find it amusing how Soap Operas make us think differently than normal. We come up with wild scenarios, because of all the crazy plot twists and turns that have made the Soaps what they are today.

Never believe anyone is dead, even if you see a dead body, and a casket is lowered into the ground. They always find a way to explain it all away.

They insult our intelligence, and yet we tune in anyway.

Very true! In fact, I have a wild scenario worked out to keep Robin alive, yet make us believe she would actually leave her child and go into hiding. Then they could leave the door open for Robin to return someday. She's been working on that drug protocol for Jason. It would be interesting if she had received threatening messages from either a rival mob or some Franco flunky to stop trying to save Jason's life, or else. She goes ahead and creates the drug. The bad guys are closing in on her. The only way to stay alive and keep Emma safe is to leave town, using Anna's connections to go into hiding and adopt a new identity (or stage her own death). She can never contact Patrick or Emma, for fear of endangering their lives. And poor Jason! Jason would know that Robin gave up her own life to save his. Everytime he sees his child, he would be reminded of the fact that Robin can no longer be with hers. Oh how much more dark and twisted Jason would become! See? Now that would be a good storyline. I'm still hoping they didn't actually kill her. After all she went through with Lisa and still survived, she can't possibly be killed off in a little explosion while her clueless husband stood and watched!

luv bunnies.. are you looking for a job as a soap writer?
if so, you get my vote!!! (unfortyunately, not a very goodprospect these days!:rotfl:)

I can't BELIEVE robin just yelled out "I can make it!" instead of yelling "Patrick, hold the door open for me!"

on a side note.. can I borrow the little actress who plays emma to take her to disney? princess:

This show tanked for me when they killed Jake.

I'm sorry, but big strong Patrick couldn't use something to break the glass? It's just ridiculous.

Emma is adorable...and I love that they are bringing back some vets but IDK, it's just these stupid boring storylines.

Can someone please tell me why Liz and Jason couldn't be happy with their child but now its ok for Sam and Jason to have this miracle baby?

Well, I can't argue with any of this. Sigh. Killing Jake, whether you are a fan of Liason or not, is a slap in the face for long-time fans. This child was a Hardy, a Webber, a Quartermaine -- you just don't let that legacy go. It would have been like killing Michael, and we all know that could never happen :rolleyes1

I am really hoping that we are about to see a resurgence of the "old" GH. That is in all the spoilers I'm reading, let's hope at least some of them are true!

I thought I heard that Steve Burton might leave also. What happened to the drug in the lab that could save his life? I'm thinking that it might make sense for both Robin and the drug that could save Jason's life to be gone.

As gross as this sounds... I knew it was good when I saw a real string of snot dripping from his nose! :rotfl2:
