The GH Official Thread Part 2

I know we have to stretch the bonds of reality, but no way was Claudia old enough to be Johnny's mom. He was supposed to be a "30 yr. old man" dating Kristina a couple of years ago. Claudia was not 40, not even close in my book. What did she do, gestate at 5 or 6?! This is like when Erica Kane popped up with Kendall on AMC -- you had to suspend disbelief, because the writers decided history needed to be changed...

Maria :upsidedow

Another great show today. The scenes between Anthony and Johnny were really good. I just hope the writers keep it up.

What is the story with Cassandra? I'm assuming she's going to turn out to be Laura's daughter since she is a dead ringer for her, but then who will be the dad???

Cassandra has no story. She has been fired and the Woman in White storyline is history.

well, so much for that! talk about anti climactic. ps. why does luke call ethan "dodge"? (I'm assuming it has somthing to do with being a conman)

ok so now, instead of Patrick's crazy ex trying to cause trouble for him and robin, we have steve's ex, trying to rekindle with him and cause trouble with him and olivia.
and they even look the same.

ok, I just responded to Epcot mom, about cassandra being fired. how did my post end up ahead of hers???

I think Luke is referring to Ethan as The Artful Dodger in Oliver Twist.

Jack Dawkins, better known as the Artful Dodger, is a character in the Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist. Dodger is a pickpocket, so called for his skill and cunning in that respect. As a result he has become the leader of the gang of child criminals, trained by the elderly Fagin. He becomes Oliver's closest friend (although he betrays him when Oliver is mistakenly caught) and he tries to make him a pickpocket, but soon realizes that Oliver won't, and feels sorry for him, saying "What a pity ain't a prig!" He also has a close relationship with Charley Bates. Ultimately the Dodger is caught with a stolen silver snuff box and presumably sent to a penal colony in Australia (only alluded to in the novel).

Gossip for the week of 30-Jan-2012
by Carol Banks Weber

Genie Francis (ex-Laura) will return to help usher GH out, even if it’s on loan from Y&R, where she’s about to marry Jack as Genevieve. Raven Beauty said so January 23 on Facebook, along with a repeat of that “mass exodus” in the next “six-eight [explosive] weeks.” What’s also interesting is, as next week’s spoilers play out — with Jason and Sam learning their unborn baby isn’t paternally Franco’s — Raven’s contention that maybe there’s a problem with the GH testing lab, “(they may be using the same reliable facility that OLTL used for all their testing). Need I say more?”

AMC/OLTL creator Agnes Nixon may still own the rights. At least, that’s the impression I’m getting from reading Raven Beauty’s January 27th update: “The war behind the scenes continues, and with it comes such amazing clarity and amusement. A certain network may not have covered all their bases as they thought they had so many years ago (oopsy daisy, now where can that contract be hiding I wonder). Only the shadow knows (look closely my dear Agnes, for you are in the driver’s seat and don't realize it)...” In attempts by the new regime to bring back the golden yesteryear of GH (1980s), TPTB may have snagged Anders Hove (ex-Faison), according to Raven’s sources. The return will mean a campy, darker GH, Raven described: “General Hospital will be resurrecting an old look and feel that we have not seen in decades. Look for the fun, campy, darker stories to emerge once again (not darker as in another child dies, but darker as in how to freeze the world again for instance). General Hospital meets true villainy once more with many favorite troublemakers returning to bring down the house in style. Look for reunions you never thought could happen, and the dead shall rise again.” Another confirmation from her is that they will bring Jonathan Jackson back for that Lucky reunion with Elizabeth, after all.

Steve Burton (Jason) may be that one leading GH male going out the door in a few months. At least, that’s what was dropped January 27 on Daytime Dish.

Happy New Years on Daytime Dish January 27 laid out some spumors sure to raise eyebrows and pulses, c/o the new regime: Robin’s presumed death will hit Port Charles hard, especially Jason — Emmy reel time — but look for a behind-the-story gaslighting and a return of an age-old feud… Helena will exact revenge in the biggest blow-out ever, and she’s got a co-conspirator… Allof this is related to the Spencers, the Corinthoses, the Cassadines, and the Scorpios, tying them together, even though at first it may not seem to relate… Ewen purposely went after Elizabeth, ala Stefan going after/using Bobbie… Jason’s mom comes into play somehow, not necessarily in the original casting… Tracy knows more about the Sonny/Zacchara mob war than she’s telling, so does another character… While Maxie leaves town for a trip, Matt will be gone for good… The Nurses’ Ball, back with Lucy, Kevin, Ned, and a host of real-life visiting music stars? Maybe.

Click-Boom, again? A January 23rd Wubs.nettweet describes a bomb taking “everybody but five” out.

**Kate slips in after an all-nighter mystery, which Sonny demands full disclosure on.
Sonny suspects Kate of going behind his back about something. He just can’t put his finger on what it could be and she won’t tell, yet. Here’s a hint: Carly’s gonna have a cow.
Sonny gives Kate the third degree about where she’s been all night, like she’s his under-aged, wayward daughter he’s keeping on a leash.
Before Kate can answer Sonny about her whereabouts, he cuts her off and froths at the mouth about Jax.
Kate decides to keep her mouth shut about her recent business deal to Sonny. Instead, she heads out to find Carly to tell her.
Here’s Kate’s big newsflash: She bought into Metro Court (via Jax) and is co-owner.
Kate is only too happy to drop her new partnership at Metro Court in Carly’s lap.
Sonny, Kate, and Carly go to the Metro Court, where it all hangs out about the deal and Jax’s role in it. Watch heads roll.
Sonny displays an ugly, vicious monstrous side to Kate.
Metro Court’s newly appointed head honcho, Kate, lords it over Carly and Olivia, who’s also flummoxed. Everyone then learns real quick that Jax made this happen.
Sonny turns into a raging, rabid savage animal about the latest transgression.

Dante and Delores get into a discussion about mobster Sonny.
Johnny intuits Delores feeling like she’s jumping out of her skin, and so, would like to be of aid.
Johnny gets into an argument with Anthony, which soon nearly becomes a fight to the death. It’s not out of the realm of possibility to see Johnny going for Anthony’s throat.
Carly can and does bring Johnny off that emotionally edgy ledge, and help him see a way out of this darkness.
Carly and Johnny continue their seduction dance—until they start getting hot and bothered. But then a frantic Delores sends up an SOS for Johnny, which busts up the loving.
Carly and Michael have a chance to mend fences, which they do, after expressing themselves and really listening.
Michael notices someone other than himself, when he notices TJ—and likes the dude’s swagger.
Michael seems to have a noticeable, strong influence on TJ.
Beneath the defiant front, TJ is a good guy who goes the extra mile for Molly, so she can come out of her shell.

Looks like Jason and Sam get to prepare for and welcome their firstborn baby together—screw you, Franco (I think). :crazy2: :crazy2:
After all that waiting, nail biting, crying, and acting out, paternity test results favor Jason, not Franco, for Sam.
Relieved to get the Franco monkey off their backs, Jason and Sam talk about their future.
Jason and Sam do what comes naturally, by taking it to the bedroom.
Sam gives thought to what it’ll be like to be a mom, her baby-to-be, etc. — now that the coast is clear.
But wait, Franco’s not yet done with Sam and Jason. The psycho killer artist sends another gift this supercouple’s way.
Jason suffers from a neurological attack, one of many plaguing him lately. Thanks, Franco.
Jason and Sam talk about the Carly factor in this DNA news, whether to tell her right away and whether she’ll be happy about it.
Sam’s family — Alexis and Molly specifically — perks up about the baby-to-be.
Monica checks in on Jason.

Another blow to the cop-hating Luke: Lulu now started working for the PCPD.
Lulu takes on a job at the PCPD in the evidence room, as a fixer upper.

The stripper serial killer takes his next victim.

The new HIV/AIDS drug protocol seems to be doing the trick for Robin. What a relief for her and Patrick. They enjoy their happiness while they can.
Lurking on the horizon, though, is some familiar bad news for Patrick and Robin.
Robin, Patrick and their daughter Emma take a special field trip to a place that holds a lot of meaning, or will: their future home together on a vast acreage.
Robin admonishes Steve and Maggie for what had happened.
More of Steve and Maggie’s Memphis past comes to light.

It’s becoming clear to Spinelli that Ewen and Elizabeth have connected from before.
Maxie tries to attract Matt’s attention by using jealousy with Spinelli, but it’s no use, so give it up.
It’s crazy, awkward romantic hijinks when Elizabeth and Ewen find themselves out on a date with a glowering Matt and Maxie not far away.
Matt spends more time glowering at Ewen/wishing he were with Elizabeth than on Maxie, who doesn’t help matters by having Spinelli live with her.
As the dates progress, Elizabeth may very well figure out that Ewen was her knight in shining armor.
Maxie acts up, because she’s insecure and immature about Matt and Elizabeth.
Matt can’t take much more of Maxie’s stunts, like this next one she’s about to pull like a diva.
Maxie rats out Matt and Elizabeth’s blossoming personal relationship to GH boss Monica, in hopes she’ll clamp down on the fraternizing.
Cameron flies into a tantrum, yelling at his mom Elizabeth. So major.
Cameron lambasts Elizabeth for chasing away his daddy (Lucky).
Ewen tries to help Elizabeth settle Cameron down.
Ewen educates Ethan on the background of Cassandra and her dramatic history.
Ethan rushes in to be Cassandra’s savior.
Ethan conducts a blind taste test, in order to provoke crucial memories from Cassandra.

Diane gives Alexis a menopause book to be helpful.
Mac and Diane may have hooked up. Alexis would like to know if this is true.

Next week: Sam has a favor to ask of Jason. He must come to an important decision about an important matter… It’s only a matter of time before things come to a scary head between Johnny and Anthony… Carly and Johnny get carried away and you know what happens next, wink, wink… Michael gets closer to Shawn, after the great divide… The Metro Court is the place to be for lots of drama—and a major Pulmonary Research Benefit gala, featuring much of the town… Robin pledges an important pledge to Jason… Anna drops in on Robin, Patrick, and Emma at their house… Robin and Patrick’s bliss doesn’t last long. But then nothing does… Dante levels a terrible accusation someone’s way… Maxie owns up to her latest stunt.

Thanks for the updates. I admit, I don't even turn it on now, I just read updates various places. Hope that the transfusion of OLTL folks will pique my interest again. So tired of the Sonny and CArly show...

So sick of Sonny and Kate having the same conversation over and over and over, ad nauseam. The actors must get tired of saying the same lines too.

Although I have watched this show for what seems like forever, I did miss a few years way back when (real life got in the way lol). I don't know why Monica has always been so attached to Jason although he is not her biological child but a result of Alan's unfaithfulness. She seemed to prefer him over her own child, AJ.
Cann someone explain this? Thanks

Boy, I'd also love to hear about this too! I remember way back when Jason was first born to Alan's girlfriend, who was killed shortly thereafter. At that time, I thought I remembered that Monica wouldn't even let Alan bring Jason into the main house to live, and so Jason had to stay in some little "gate house". Then I stopped watching for a while, and when I returned-Voila! Suddenly Jason was Monica's beloved son. How did that happen?

She raised them both and as teenagers/young adults Jason was the perfect one and AJ was the screw up. Didn't matter to anyone that Jason wasn't hers by then.

Thanks I sort of figured that but it still seems strange. I wouldn't think Monica would so easily get past where Jason came from. I thought maybe I had missed some life-changing singular event.

Ok, seriously? This Robin storyline is absolutely ridiculous. Do the writers think we're all stupid? This has to be one of the worst stories ever!

Totally agree. So do we assume the 'protocol' she came up with will save Jason's life? How will Patrick pull himself together to inject it? There was no safe-guard to open that door in case it closed accidently. They are going to make that sweet little girl who plays Emma cry?!?!

And another shooting involving Sonny and Kate is surprised? Hello...he is a mobster. No matter how great a father he is  he is still a mobster!

**Carly escorts Johnny all the way back to his place. Wink, wink.
Carly and Johnny are about to make real love, when Shawn ruins—barges in.
Shawn tries to get back in the love game with Carly, by opening up.
Olivia senses the latest dramatic incident did a lot more to throw Kate off her game then this fashion maven’s showing.
Signs of multiple-personality disorder in Kate: she feels uneasy and asks herself whether she had a fugue just now.
Dante comes close to being assassinated—until his father Sonny risks his life and steps in front of the bullet.
Sonny goes gunning for Dante’s attempted assassin.
Jason requires Spinelli to look more into Franco’s DVD.
Sam considers then sits on recent GH-based data, for Jason’s own well-being. Translation: she can’t jeopardize his health, so she won’t tell him what happened.
Sam asks Patrick to honor her important request.

Michael takes care of the after-effects of TJ’s party at Molly’s Lake House, including a passed-out Molly.
Michael stays, tending to Molly, waiting for Alexis to hit the roof when she arrives.
Out of the mouths of babes. Molly!

Helena portends her checklist of evil to unleash upon the town, and Luke is not immune.
Ewen comes on the scene just as Helena wields a dagger and Kate’s right there!

A conversation with Mac convinces Anna to pick up the phone for this other significant person.
When Patrick goes to talk to Anna, he starts to lose his level-headedness and get hotheaded.
Anna tries to instill in Patrick to think logically and pragmatically.

Tracy, Anthony, and Edward gab about the Soleito mob, Sonny, and what had happened before.
Sonny comes upon the Quartermaine scene, eye on Anthony.
The next thing you know, Tracy goes and does something terribly mind-blowing.
Anthony steers his vehicle onto the wrong lane as a phalanx of cars comes at him.

Next week: Sam, Monica, and Patrick consent to leave Jason unaware of certain facts—for his own protection… It is up to Patrick to save Jason… Patrick and Emma have a talk. Cue the piano in minor chords… Matt orders Maxie to knock it off… Ewen calls on Elizabeth. Soon, they get to jib-jabbing about real topics… Michael takes Starr Manning (originally from OLTL) to GH. He feels responsible for her… Holly Spencer visits upon Wyndemere… Robert Scorpio returns to the town he once ruled with law and order (but she’s not really dead).
