Was the gay moment two man dancing for 12 seconds at the end. If so that it is a very short and not a very gay moment for anyone to uproar over. Also I love the gay community so have no problem with it was just wondering what all the talk was about.

Also I did not even recognise Audra who I have seen on Broadway.

Also does anyone know the broadway / west end credits of some of these actors.?
Know Audra did Ragtime, Carousel, Marie Christine , The play about the famouse opera singer Maris etc
I saw her in Shuffle Along.

Kavlin Kline did that play about a long nose?

I also thought all the talk about LeFou being gay was much ado about nothing.

Josh Gad, aka LeFou, and Olaf from Frozen, sang on Broadway in the "Book of Mormon Musical." Kevin Kline has been in several movies, including the role of the U.S. president in "Dave."

Luke Evans, Gaston, has been in "Rent" and "Miss Saigon" in London's West End productions.

He got Kevin got the Oscar for Fish called Wander. He was also on Broadway in a play called Cyrano. He is in another play this season.

I thought it was much ado about very little. Something an adult would maybe catch, but probably 99% of kids wouldn't even blink an eye at. It's not like 2 guys were going at it on the dance floor or anything. And even the fight scene, where the dresser wraps three guys in ribbons and wigs--one guy stops to admire himself. This would totally be my DS11--he's a dance kid, and he loves make-up. So, nothing that would make me stop and think "Whoa! Totally pushing an agenda, there!"

Audra was also in Porgy and Bess, and she played Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. She was of course phenomenal in both.

It's more of a one sided "Bromance",
than anything else. Lafou for a time wants to be like Gaston, until he realizes Gaston is an anal sphincter. The dance? Really a flash of nothing more than a non headline. The media and their failed attempt to politicize the movie. Probably helped it however in money Dept!
Also- I couldn't stop hearing Olaf when he spoke or sang!!

I also thought the uproar over the "gay" scenes was ridiculous. It shouldn't be an issue. I saw Audra in Ragtime in Toronto-incredible.

I wasn't clear on what, specifically, the "gay scene" was either. Was it that brief moment when LeFou and that dude in women's clothes caught each other's eye? Was it the "one-sided bromance" (great description @Branflakes) between LeFou and Gaston? Or was it the totally gay subtext between Cogsworth and Lumiere that everyone seems to have missed? (That was a joke, btw.)

Haven't seen it yet but I figured it would be something like this. Actually, like someone said, it shouldn't be an issue. I thought the character was gay in the animated version so I didn't understand the uproar at all.

I heard it was LeFou winks at Gaston when he says "and they'll tell you whose side (team?) they prefer to be on"

If I hadn't read/heard about the supposed outrage, i would've been oblivious to any "gayness". I don't think kids will have a clue either. I'm guessing it was Le Fou's admiration/longing for Gaston but I didn't think it was particular overt. Hey, at least he figures out that Gaston is a real jerk.

Edited to add: I'm not surprised some were outraged. It never shocks me that some are offended. I had a good friend who refused to allow her kids to see The Little Mermaid because she was adamant that it was encouraging kids to disobey their parents. It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round.
