The FP changes are live

I agree. And I edited to say my scrolling issue is with the app. Angi, when you scroll in the FP area of the app, is it not a smooth scroll for you, too?
Just checked on my iPad and now that you mention it, no it is not a smooth scroll
I hadn't noticed it before but I will now, thanks ;)

Reserved 3 for MK this am (reserved last night) last one expires at noon but just reserved Fantasmic for tonight on the app.

I'm assuming you used the initial 3 then were able to schedule the F! one right after using FP #3?

The only thing I found annoying about picking 1 at a time is the system isn't smart enough to eliminate FP that conflict with the others you already booked. It alerts you when you select the time, sort of like it does with dining. Just adds a step but still, it's an improvement.

Does this mean that you can pick overlapping FP times? They don't all have to be an hour a part like they have always been?

@JeninTexas ~ the system does not allow overlapping FP windows. When booking, it's only after you have chosen a time does the system tell you there is a problem with the overlap.

You then have to return to the time selection window to choose a non-overlapping window.

Found another change that I don't like as much.

In the old system you could see a map that showed you each FP with a number, so at a glance you can see how they are grouped.
Now, as far as I have found at least, you can only see a map when you click on a specific FP and only that individual FP shows on the map
If anyone finds a map that shows all 3 please let us know where you find it

The maps attached in each FP only indicate that specific FP. I checked the My Reservations and the FP area of the app.

I think it is how the system now needs to map them based on the fact that it allows for individual, subgroups, and full group booking within the same approximate timeframe.

Never went to MK, took some pics at AK instead, noticed it was 1130 and made the addition for tonight.

More of a test than anything.

For those wondering about how to look at FP when you have FP for a different park (process is similar to how it was but slightly different menu options). I tested with DH since he has some FP booked for our trip next week but he's not going so it wouldn't hurt if something happened to them. DGD to use his band to ride PW and Barnstormer, rides the rest of us don't like

The steps I took are (on the website)
Click FastPass+, Select Get Started
Select Person (had to deselect me, since it always seems to select yourself at the start)
Select Date (in this case, person has existing FP for AK)
Select Park (selected MK)
Got alert that there are already FP at another park, Clicked Continue with This Guest
Click Next
Pulls up the list of FP offered at MK. I can select various times of the day and see FP available during that time
As I don't want to change the FP, scroll to bottom and select Start Over
Takes you back to the page in step 1

Gotcha! Thanks!

ETA: so you actually didn't have to wait for the last one to expire at noon? Or did you just cancel that last one?

(Sorry! Somehow I inserted my own comment below inside the quote box I was trying to use:oops:)

Very interesting! Burning curiosity if this was due to a glitch from being a new feature that they'll iron out, or a possible indication you can book that 4th FP before the 1st 3 are used? Or at least after the start window (vs used or expiration time) of the 3rd?

I believe this is the case.
And actually, always was, I think. Just most never had a chance to test it.
But in some cases, like with a parade, someone would use their 3rd FP to enter the parade area.
A member of their party would then go to a kiosk and they were able to find 4th FP for everyone.

My first impressions are very poor. The "old" system where you could pick all three at once was much more seamless than the new system. I like being able to see the various times, but why after you pick the first FP+ does it allow you to see and select times that overlap for the second and third choices? Basically, I am forced to have a pen and paper and write down my first choice before doing my second choice. Seems silly to me.

It's because the system now allows booking for subgroups within each party. Makes it much easier for large groups who split up their FP attractions and need times within the same timeframe.

I do like being able to choose a specific time as compared to selecting an "Option" and then having to Modify.

Now you can pick .. up too.. 3 FP+ instead of having too? What if any reason or advantage would I have to picking only 1 or 2?

For a Tiered park. After you use a FP for say, TSMM, you can go into the app and try to choose TSMM or RnRC or another Tier 1 ride.

But wouldn't the other good tier 1 picks be mostly gone on day of visit compared to 60 days out picking? I mean you can pick 3 now and change then right?

True. But some people may just want to see what the system allows them to do.

It's also good for park hoppers. They can rope drop, FP a ride and then choose a FP for a park where they are headed.

The new system just allows more options and choices for guests.

Doctor Disney just posted on FB. That he made one for pirates and then used it. Then he was able to make 1 at Epcot and 1 at Hollywood studios.
