The FP changes are live

I found this last night and it did help. I just wish you could pick 3 rides and see all available times - that would have helped me last night. I would book a FP for ride A but when I went to select ride B I didn't like the times available so then I had to go back in and make changes to ride A. This was when it would throw me back to the beginning where I had to pick my group again. With only 8 people in my group with tickets but 25-30 people in my friends and family, this was a pain.

Fortunately I was only modifying and I only have 4 people in my party. Sorry it was so annoying!

Yes. You could make 2 more if you'd only booked one to start and once you used that one. They could then be in the same or different (even two different!) parks. Yesterday I was able to ride Land at Epcot (Tier 1) and then immediately book both Great Movie Ride at HS (also Tier 1) and Barnstormer at MK for later in the day.

Yes, based on what I did in a test yesterday this would work. When I went to make the 2nd FP at the 2nd park it alerted me that I needed to make my FP at the same park and if I opted to continue I would loose my existing FP. Since technically it would have been used that wasn't an issue.

If your current FPPs are for AK, you would simply modify one, just like you used to. I've already seen tutorials on how to do things like this on various Disney sites if that is your question but it's fairly similar to how it used to be.

If your question is how to do it while in a different park, you'd have to use all your prebooked FPPs and then try to book it that day. But of course right now no one even knows if there will be FPP for ROL for sure, and how availability will be. My guess is that it will be a tough one to get even in advance.

Angi ~ my test results today were the same as yours.

Epcot
- Pre-booked Land as my only FP
- after my return window opened, I was able to book two more for Epcot; the system wouldn't let me book for another park. I then Canceled the two.
- after the window closed for Land, I checked and it wouldn't allow me to book for another park even though Land window had closed.
- waited a few minutes to get beyond the grace period
- went back into the app and the Date and Park window was down. Calendar window was frozen and didn't show my 7 days of FP booking availability (I have 3 linked Comp tickets).

Anyway, prior to my grace period ending, I did check availability for RnRC and at 10:15 ET, no FPs were available.

Here now. Did 3 FP early at HS Sunday. When we went to get the 4th one on the app the choices were VERY limited for anything after 11am. MK had Philharmagic, HS had the Muppets, Epcot had Figment... not much else. As others have said the availability was changing rapidly, but mostly making all the options disappear. On a side note, at the MK last night most of the rides were walk on from 9pm through Fantasyland and Frontierland... Splash, BTMRR, even Pooh, HM. NOT SDMT and Peter Pan. The park was quite empty!! That had not been the case last week in any of the parks. They were all "summer full".

But they couldn't do both - keep some of the FPP they have in a different park and book one (ROL) at DAK in advance. Only day of and I'm betting ROL FPP (if they exist) will be a hot commodity for quite awhile.

The only thing I found annoying about picking 1 at a time is the system isn't smart enough to eliminate FP that conflict with the others you already booked. It alerts you when you select the time, sort of like it does with dining. Just adds a step but still, it's an improvement.

And in case others wonder, since I wasn't sure, you can not book your first 3 at different parks. I tried just in case. The first 3 need to be in the same park

I actually appreciate that the system doesn't automatically eliminate the conflict. That was one of my biggest issues back with it in 2014. For example, when trying to book A&E it wouldn't show me there was a time if I had a Jungle Cruise booked during that time...but I'd give up Jungle Cruise for the earlier in the day A&E in a heartbeat, if I had known that was an option, as I know I would have been able to rebook Jungle Cruise for another time that worked (whereas with A&E it was grab one as fast as possible b/c they were all gone in less than 5 mins!)

That's a really good point that I hadn't thought of. I was thinking it was irritating that it showed you availability for times you already had a FPP for with a different ride (so that you then had to deal with the whole error thing if you picked it accidentally) but hadn't considered it from the point of picking up a hard-to-get FPP that might only be available during those times.

here now-whole fast pass system is down-can't get one on the app or in the park-cast members blamed a problem with the upgrades-not good. They claim that's why the wait times are shorter because there are no fast pass lines at the rides. Hope they fix it soon!

Does not compute... Hope they fix it so the lines get longer again? Kinda sounds like not having FP is the fix to long lines.

Availability is way, way better today. For a party of four, at 2:37 pm, I can get any of the following:

IASW at 2:55, 3:15, 3:35 etc
Buzz at 3:10, 3:45
Dumbo at 3:50, 4:00
HM at 2:50; 3:15
Tea Party: 4:00, 4:30
PhilharMagic: 2:55, 3:15, 3:55
Laugh Floor: 3:15, 3:50
PotC: 4:40
Space: 5:05
Splash: 8:20
Barnstormer: 4:20
Aladdin: 6:45
LM: 4:00, 4:50

This is in line with what I've received as 4th FPs at the kiosks in the past at this time of day.

That looks much better. Thank you for reporting in. I also saw today that mid afternoon wait times were down significantly from what they have been (and weather was apparently good) so maybe things are settling down.

Yes last night the crowds were much lighter than they had been the last few weeks. Most of the spring break crowd is gone. Amazing how it's just those few weeks. The park really cleared out after the fireworks, where previously it stayed crowded until closing.
