The Fantasyland Expansion Plans have changed!!!

I believe they've announced 60 rides and attractions which will be much larger than the park in California. Also, similar to Disney, Legoland targets the entire family much more than Universal does.

I believe they've announced 60 rides and attractions which will be much larger than the park in California. That would be awesome! Also, similar to Disney, Legoland targets the entire family Yes, they do. We liked how each area had kiddie, kid and adult rides. much more than Universal does.

The thing we didn't like about legoland was the upkeep wasn't as good. The lego creations were very weathered with the clearcoat peeling. Their 'indy like' ride was pretty lame and the quality of hte theming and construction materials was very weak.

I love legos, have thousands up thousands of them passed on to my kiddos. I just hope legoland FL ups the ante.

I also wish Nintendo would make a Disney level resort with theme parks. Nintendo has a huge fan base with characters that i consider to be as iconic as Mickey. The attraction ideas are limitless.

I'm also glad they are re-tooling the Fantasyland expansion plans. Sorry, I know meet-n-greets have their place in Disney parks, but truthfully, MK's Fantasyland (and the MK in general) needs a couple more rides. I love the artist's rendition of the Little Mermaid ride! Can't wait to ride it! Hope they come up with something else that's just as fantastic. :thumbsup2

And although this is off topic, I also think DHS desparately needs at least one more fun/lightly thrilling E-ticket family ride (or two), and so does DAK. I'd rather see Disney invest expansion money into such things rather than a bunch of princess meet-n-greets, scary clown faces, and circus theming around Dumbo. ::yes::

I'm glad to hear this as well................ I felt it was too "princessy" - I knew we'd be walking right by, never going in there.......... DS would NO WAY want to be anywhere near it!! I hope they do a more boy friendly character meal, maybe with Capt. Jack, Hook, Smee, Peter Pan, Woody, Buzz, etc...... I mean this would appeal to girls as well, but, I think would be a HUGE draw for boys.

I'd also LOVE to see more Mickey/Minnie things.......

AND I agree with another poster.......... I certainly hope ANY rides they add do not have us looking at screens.......... I love the concept/theming of Nemo, but I HATE those screens........... it's BORING!!!

AND NO CLOWNS - my biggest pet peeve at AK is the "carnival" type area - I hate it, it looks so cheesy to me - I wish they'd revamp the entire area - I really don't like it. (I do like the chester/hester ride) but the overall "theme" I really dislike, it seems "cheap" to me............. :confused3

I just hope they do this exapansion really well............ with theming and rides - I'm over all the meet and greet stuff.......... it's nonsense to stand in line for hours to meet a character - why not just ADD more character meals - that seems like a win/win for everybody - not to mention the dining options at MK are not so great.

Well, when I think of Fantasyland-I think of old Disney...not Cars-Toy Story-Nemo etc. The whole princess thing was exciting in that I remember watching all of these movies as a little girl and would love to walk through a life size recreation-I hope on some scale all of the princesses are still represented. But I would love to get rid of Pixie Hollow and put in a Neverland-Disney could get so creative with this-as well as a wonderland. Get rid of Dumbos big top tent and Pixie Hollow and add in a Neverland and Wonderland. And I LOVE:lovestruc the Snow White mine ride idea-my son loves the 7 dwarfs. Regardless, the suspense is killing me-better buy into DVC now then later.

Fantasyland and Toontown are for kids so an E ticket attraction would be woefully out of place.

I too am glad they are reworking the Fantasyland expansion, eventhough Toontown was a glorified meet and greet to begin with. I did prefer only one line to meet the princesses, now there will be three, that's annoying. Still Fantasyland was in dire need of a facelift, I'm looking forward to it.

Pixar needs to stay in DHS or Tomorrowland.

I'd love to see an Alice ride, the one in DL is fantastic or a Neverland area, either one would be great.

The idea of Neverland might work instead of pixie hollow. Then they could have kept some of the princess stuff as well and they would have new sections for both boys and girls!

You have a point about having a E ticket ride in Fantasyland. Maybe it wouldn't belong depending on what it would be. But, maybe they could just put it somewhere else in the park if it doesn't belong there....and toontown won't exist anymore anyway, so they could redo this area and put some E-ticket attractions in there.
