I have a Pooh size question regarding dining.

We have plans and ADR at Sci-Fi Dine In Theater in Hollywood Studios on our upcoming trip. I've heard the seating is a bit cramped. Has anyone "pooh sized" dined there, and were the seats very tight? I'd like to be comfortable when dining. PS. My husband and I are very pooh sized. Thanks in advance, the pooh family.

When I was around 260, it was a very very tight squeeze but I managed. It was tight for hubby too at about 30 lbs. lighter. It's not comfortable. You an ask to be put at one of the picnic tables in the back where you'll have no problem for sure.

Everyone carries it differently. You could be totally fine.

Yeah, its tight.

The fit is like a tight booth at a restaurant, but you have less room to shimmy if that makes sense.

Yeah, I know you can sit at one of the picnic tables...but I go to Disney to NOT be set apart from thin people. I'd rather not go there at all. JMHO.

I just cancelled. We will try Ohana for supper that evening.

We couldn't fit in the cars but they put us in one of the cars in the middle that was a table for six. We didn't have to sit in the back. Wasn't quite as neat as we didn't feel like we were in a car but also felt a part of it.

Hi guys! We just got back from an awesome 10 day trip to WDW/US/legoland May 2-12. DH and I are very Pooh sized he's about 5'8 330 and mostly belly. I have the extreme advantage (ha ha) of being 6'4 and a 26/28ish and apple shaped. We had no problem fitting on every ride in the 4 parks. I was nervous a couple times bc we rode w DD 5 and DS 2 3/4 on a few kiddy roller coasters at WDW and US. I was scared they would go flying out of the car bc of the gap on the lap bar but since you didn't see any news reports... All was well. We did the Star Wars breakfast at sci dinner and asked for the car w the table and chairs bc there was no way we were fitting in the booth! But that was the only problem we had the entire time at WDW. Now US and Leggoland were different stories. Of course neither of us fit in any of the coaster at US except the 2 kiddy coasters, which was a bummer! But we're able to the Dino flyers (never again) and all the movie screen rides. Side note... Both of our kiddos had crashed out in the stroller... It was hotter then he'll... I did mention that right???... So hubby and I took turns single riding transformers. I got put in a row with a avg size couple. There was one lap bar for our entire row of seats. Of course it stops at my belly w a good few inches before theirs and the chicks is pulling down on it and pulling down on it and finally I had to say um ouch! She finally got the hint and stopped but she gave me the stink eye on the way out... Like megaton was going to throw her out of the car.... Sigh... We were able to ride lots of things as a family and actually that was one of my fav days! Now Legoland was a HUGE disappointment!! We had visited the one in CA 2 years ago and just fell in love w it. We really had an amazing time there and I highly recommend it should you visit the west coast. The one in FL not so much! It is extremely not pooh friendly. The first roller coast my hubby couldn't get the bar far enough down.. 3 lights what ever that means... So he and DD in tears have to get out.. I go and try and the attendant and to put his foot on the bar and push it w enough force to make my stomach exit through my back... Not really but ouch!!! So of course I. Stressed the entire ride thinking I'm going to go flying out of it. The Dino roller coaster our fav from CA, I couldn't fold my legs up to fit in it and the dragon coaster had a weight limit of 270 in the car...my 50 inch 5 year old DD weights 60 lbs so that was a no go.... The safari ride was murder on my knees.. The boat driving ride had weight limits on the boat.... Of and I got sun poisoning.... Fun times... Fun times... Any way I thought I'd just put that warning out for anyone pooh sized headed to that park... It was def not a disney type experience for our family!

I am always so disappointed when I hear about US not being Pooh Size friendly. I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan and would love to go, but I am not going to 1- Waste the money going in and not fitting and 2- Waste a day away from Disney!

Does anyone have any experience at the waterparks? We are headed to TL in a few weeks. My 5 year old DD is going to want to ride all the slides. Are they pooh friendly? Weight limits? Etc? I want to be able to ride everything I can w her!

Planning our 3rd trip to Disney and have always been pleasantly surprised at how "Pooh friendly" WDW is. DH and I are both large Pooh sizes and have never had a problem with a ride. The only time I have been uncomfortable was the barn stormer - a tight squeeze for me at 5'7" and size 24/26.

Was wondering if any Pooh sizers have been on the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train. Read a couple of places that it is a tight squeeze. I hate the "I can't fit" walk of shame.

I rode 7DMT and I am a size 50 waist. I sat with a thinner guy and it was a little on the tight side. I think 2 guests my size or bigger will find it a tight squeeze and the lap bar is an individual lap bar.. so you have to fit both knees in the space between the bars. I don't remember having an issue with the lap bar for my legs, YMMV.

You guys have the cutest terms for everything. I just look in the mirror and sing "fattie fat fat" in a chirpy voice to myself while I'm getting ready to go hit the gym.

At 22/24/26 (depending on the cut of the item) it doesn't look like I'm going to have any trouble at all on the rides (right?). Am I going to be good on the busses back and forth all over the place too?

I still have a few months so I'm happily trotting around the gym. I dropped six pounds in two weeks so I imagine I'll be more 22/24 than 24/26 when I get down there.

I had no trouble at all on the rides or the busses and I run about the same sizes. Just depends on the brand and cut.

On our last trip, I misjudged just how hard it'd be to find decent walking sandals and ended up buying men's Merrell hiking shoes. Comfy, yes, but bulky/heavy and definitely NOT cute. Great with jeans, not so much with capris. I keep seeing Merrell Agave 2 Lavish and Teva Tirra (Terra??) mentioned for sandals, and they DO come in 12s (though per Merrell's site they aren't in 12s right now...maybe I can find them elsewhere). Anyone else in a similar physical condition have experience with these? I love flip flops but lately they're KILLING my feet and knees when waking long distances, so I want something with more support.

I am having a HUGE problem finding the right bag to take. I have been going with a back pack because it's just been easier to find that would fit. All of the messenger style cross body bags have been toooo small. Not enough strap. I'm a size 24 and substantial up top. Ant suggestions on what you all have found?

Have you tried Skechers? They have cute sneakers and other shoes and now they have ones with memory foam insoles and air pockets on the bottoms. I bought a pair for Disney after both my converse sneakers AND Sperry's were very uncomfortable.

I like carrying the sling/cinched backpack bags. I found one with a lot of zippers at kohls and LOOOVE using them.

I just have to comment on your post... There are enough people in this world calling pooh sized people fattie fat fat don't let your inner voice be one of them only jokingly! You are a beautiful, wonderful, gorgeous, person wether you are a size 2 or 26 let your inner monologue tell you that! Then get your butt to the gym so you can shop for clothes in any section of any store! (That's my motivation to hit the gym)
