The Everything and Nothing Thread

To quote the famous Emily Litella, "Never mind!"

I can just see some of you thinking, "Emily Who?" Has TBird lost her feathers? For those of you under a certain age, Emily Litella was a character on Saturday Night Live from the 70's played by Gilda Radner. She would go on a rant about something, then realize she was totally confused, and say "Never mind!" in her little old lady voice.

Well, I was having a blonde moment about the posts disappearing. I was mixing the Ev-No thread up with Shelly's PTR. Sorrrrry!!

I was more of the Roseanne Rosanna Danna type. I loved Gilda.

Well since its Wednesday.....I give you a picture....

Hey Ev-No's...sorry I have been away from the thread...just been popping in the boards on and off the last week or so...So had not much time to catch up and post...

Hope everyone is doing well...Life is peachy...working 10hr days this week so I can have a long weekend with my family that is coming down from NJ..they are staying at Ft Wilderness cabins, so I plan to crash their place for a bit, and my other aunt is staying at PO:R, and of course, I will crash her place too!! We may drop into EPCOT one of those days as well..

I hope everyone is doing well..

Hi Dax!!

Sounds like a great plan.:goodvibes What a fun weekend you have to look forward to!

Boy, this thread has been quiet!

My life has been pretty quiet. Lots of studying and working and enjoying the last days of sunshine before winter hits!

Where is everyone?:flower3:

Hi Autumn!

Those Grey Goose slushies sound so good! I really don't drink so I wish WDW made a virgin version. I would try one but I know my alcohol tolerance is so low that I would be passed out somewhere in Morocco if I drank half of one.:rotfl:

Hello again everybody!

Thank you so much for your good wishes for our trip, which was indeed very wonderful and somewhat low key. The travel days were killers, but the rest of the trip was absolutely fabulous. We didn't worry about a plan, and just went where we felt like, when we felt like it. The crowds were so low that we easily saw everything we wanted and still spent lots of time at the resort just relaxing.

We took off for our connection in Seattle during a beautiful sunrise, and flew right over Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier:

We got a whale of a deal on our room at the Poly. We didn't make any requests and for $132 a night we were in Fiji with this "garden" view:

We loved this location!

Sunday night at Epcot:

We were a little tired from traveling still, so we left Epcot about 8 p.m. that night. We saw some amazing lightning on our way back to the Poly, and just as we set foot back in our room the skies opened up to a torrential downpour - the only rain we would see all week.

Just an example of the low crowds, here's a shot taken at about 10:45 Friday morning:

It was really hot when we first got there, but cooled quite a bit as the week went by. The pool was never crowded, and everywhere we went it was easy to find a seat for meals. We had such a great time!

Hi! Is our little thread dying? :sad1: No Wednesday photos? :sad2:

Since we got back from vacation I have been trying to finish up my living room: got curtains, side tables, lamps. Looks great! Another day I spent with friends. We go on an annual outing in the country: shopping, lunch, enjoying the countryside views, catching up with a few we only see once or twice a year. That unfortunately wasn't as good as other years. Food wasn't good, we were gone longer than I wanted, we did TOO much driving & not enough visiting with each other. Oh well.

Vacation was great tho! As Joan said, the weather was wonderful. I found the parks a little busier tho. I think we just hit the wrong park on the wrong day. Because DSIL hadn't been in so long, I tried to squeeze as much in as possible. We had a great time with DD & DSIL & loved spending the week with them. Can't say for sure if they felt the same about spending a week with us old people, (:rotfl:) but they said they had fun! I hope they did! DD whined (jokingly) a little about getting up early to make rope drop, but DSIL was agreeable to anything I suggested. See why I love him!! ;)

I hope everyone is doing well & just too busy to check in. Happy Autunm!!! :)

Hi Sandee! Wasn't it a great week?! So glad you had a good time with your daughter and son-in-law! We're still kinda floating around on the memory of it all!

Joan

Welcome back, Joan and Sandee! :goodvibes As others have said, we have all been kind of absent from the Ev-No thread lately. :guilty: I have just been busy with stuff around the house and had my DD visiting a couple of days last week. So I have been popping in but not doing any posting. Maybe the little break will refresh us!

Joan, your pictures are beautiful! The one flying over the mountains and Epcot at night were gorgeous! And what a deal you got on the Poly, not to mention the awesome view. :thumbsup2 The picture of you and your DH at the pool is so cute. You look like a couple of carefree youngsters! I'm happy for you that the vacation was so relaxing and fun.

Sandee, I hope you will have pictures to share and tell us more about your trip. It sounds like you had a great time, too. Y'all were so lucky to have temps in September that weren't unbearable. It is still in the mid 90's here in Louisiana. What was that you were saying about autumn?

Hi to Dax, lara, and Autumn! Glad to hear from y'all again!

Okay, I’ve been hesitant on posting since I’ve been AWOL for about a month, but here goes!! (I will have to print the thread from where I left off to get caught up) but just wanted to say hello to all! Just a lot of stuff going on.

For us that have kids in school, hope the transition has gone smoothly. My DD started middle school, my son college. What changes for us all.

Looking forward to getting back in the all the Ev/Nos:)

BTW, hope your names are still Faith, Teri, Sandee, Meg, Shelley, Joan and LA!!! :rotfl: (hope I didn't leave anyone out) :goodvibes

Mine is still Janet :flower3:

$133 for the Poly - how did THAT happen??

Almost TGIF!!

HI everyone, Happy Friday! Glad to see the thread back up! This week has been a killer!

I too want to know how the heck you got Poly for what you did? I am in aw....:worship:

Going Halloween shopping this weekend with my mom and kids. We do it every year. We just look and maybe will by something really unique. Me and the kids are fanatics about Halloween!

Good Morning all! Glad to see the thread up again! Not a lot going on with me. I just found out that my brother and his wife are having a baby girl in January! She will be their first child. Danielle Marie. Very exciting!! Oh and she will have my middle name! :goodvibes

Diva congrats and how exciting!

Happy Friday!! The weather was so great yesterday, high 70's & sunny. Today is low 80's but very windy, supposed to rain later. I love the fall!!! :)

Lara, have fun shopping! I love looking at all the Haloween stuff, but with no kids at home, I don't bother decorating. I know, I'm kind of lazy! :rotfl2: Maybe when I have grands I'll get back into it.

Diva, Congrats on your new niece! Nieces & nephews are wonderful: you can love them almost as much as you love your own kids, but none of the headaches!

Hi Janet!

Just planning a quiet weekend with DH. Hope all my Ev/Not friends have a wonderful weekend!:goodvibes
