I had posted a picture of my girlie dog, Paris Hairless Hilton, during the first photo Wednesday. Since a pet theme has already been started today, here's a picture of my little boy (and my one true baby), Anakan Skywalker Cloudbuster Joy or some such nonsense. We call him Andy.

He's a hairy hairless (Paris is a very hairless) so he's a bit cuter. But he has issues, as we like to say. As cute and lovable as he looks, I'm the only one who can touch him; he hates everyone.

Edited to add: There is a beautiful custom sofa under that hideous slipcover. My life definitely changed when I decided to adopt these 2 dogs.

Now a dog photo I can live with! I am definately a dog person! And one who likes popcorn is even better! Our little dog used to LOVE popcorn. I just told DH yesterday how much I still miss our dog. Andy is very cute!

Im here....just spent 4 days on Disney property hanging out with family, and back to work as of yesterday...Trying to get out of vacation mode and back into work mode...busy time here at work...end of fiscal year and end of month too...

Hope everyone who checks in is doing well...and I plan some pics for today too..

Hi all. I've got nothing exciting going on. Except I'm 10 days from the Beach Club and 46 days from Egypt.

Other than daydreaming about upcoming vacations I've just been working. We are still trying to get settled into the new building. My assistant and I spent all day yesterday hanging pictures. It's a huge building. We got 19 hung yesterday and will be at it again today.

My grandson's soccer season started so my husband and I have been going to those games. He's only 5 and playing U6 but he's the worst player on the team. Both his mom and dad are very athletic but I don't think the trait was passed on.

It's still over 100 here. We got a late start on summer so I guess it's going to end late too.

Pakey - My DD isn't a great soccer player either but she sure had a lot of fun - that's important! And - your vacation is so close!! Bet it's hard to concentrate at work.

Dizno: I miss having a pet - years ago we had a cat (Scout) but I had too many issues with my allergies ... so we had to find her a new home My DD keeps working on me to get a puppy ...

LA/Angelina - It's been feeling like Fall here for a bit ... which I love!! My favorite season is fall, which it would stick around longer. Love the decorating, pumpkins, apple cider, etc.

Focus - Thanks for getting the thread back up where it belongs! I like your motto (boring is good). You are so right! Give me boring over drama any day. My DD turned 26 in August, so our girls are very close in age! And my "baby" turns 23 on the 14th of October. All 6'1'' of him!

Shelly - I think age 9 (and around that) was one of my most favorite times with my DS! They are so funny and still so sweet at that age. I always loved having a house full of his friends and just watching and listening to them.

Dax - I'd love to hear about your trip! And everyone else who just got back - we need pictures and details!

diva - Doesn't hearing about everyone getting back from and about to go to Disney make you want to go that much more? I was hoping to be going with my DBIL and DSIL and their kids this year, but unfortunaley that isn't going to happen. My DH and I kept trying to convince them they HAD to take their kids at least once. I just don't understand it - they have the means -

lara - We must be getting the same weather as y'all. Isn't it wonderful?? October is my favorite month, and I sure hope we get more of this! Please let the 90's be history!!

Pakey - Wow, 19 pictures! Hanging pictures spells trouble in my house. Me: "I think it's crooked." DH: "The level says it's straight." Me: "I still think the right side is a little higher." DH: "Maybe your eyes are crooked." Etc, etc.....You get the picture! I heard it was really hot in California. My DGF's daughter lives in LA. That is crazy to be having temps like that this late!

Dizno - Isn't it funny how a cat will find his way into a box if given the chance? All that money you can spend on cat toys and climbing stands....nah, a cardboard box is the best!!

I'm loving everyone's pictures! OK, the pressure is on again. I forget from one week to the next how to do it!

T bird- Yes! I hate it! There is still a small chance we will go, should know something next month. It frustrating listining to them make plans and everything when I'm not going!!! NO FAIR!!

Dizno- Our cats hardly ever played with the toys we bought them. When they were kittens, they would get in the bathtub (no water in it) and run back and forth. They liked running up the slanted part and sliding back down. It was hilarious. They also loved watching the water swirl when the toilet flushed. Oh and the cat litter box. We had one of those automatic ones, that raked everything into a bin. Everytime they heard it, they would run toward it and watch. Crazy cats.

Happy Thursday everyone. On the downslide to the weekend! MO2DB, This weekend is my oldesn't birthday as well. My baby will be 14, just seems like yesterday I was expecting. So the house will be vamped out for her.

I wish I lived up north. You are all so lucky that do. Not only do you get the beautiful colors and crisp air, but the apple stands and pumpkin patches. We used to always make a trip to the mountains in the fall and stay in a cabin. We'd go to the stands and get the fresh cider and the apple donuts. OMG, I wish fall was all year!

True Confession Thursday: I stayed up late last night writing dining reviews from our trip 2 weeks ago. 7 days worth. I type kind of slow. Took an hour.

By the time I went to post it, I had automatically logged out of the Dis. tried to log back in & lost the whole thing!!!! I know I should do something like pre-write in Word or something like that & then copy & paste. At least that is what I've heard DH & DD say. But I don't have a clue how to actually do that. I don't even know if I have Word on my laptop! I am a nurse: I can save your life. I can't do computer things to save my life!


So now I will have to try again later today. But I'm gonna do 2 parts & make it more consise. Try to get it posted before I get kicked out & need to log back in !

Yes, Fall is the best! We have several fall fest days at local farms around us - my DD still likes to go, pick out pumpkins, see the pigs races, etc. There is also a Pumpkinfest in Bucks Co. - it is fabulous! Local artists compete in a pumpkin carving contest ... some designs are unbelievable ... I will have to find a pix to post to show you....

Focus: Sorry you lost your dining reviews … I was posting a long message once and this happened to me and I said NEVER again. See if you have Word on your computer – it’s so easy to copy and paste. Draft it in word … when you are ready to post, log on and copy and paste.
Also … you can just start typing on the DIS, but before you hit “preview” or “send”, hightlight everthing, and COPY everything you typed, so if it does log out … you have it saved in memory and can simply log back in and then select “paste” or “ctrl + V”. Ask your DH or DD to show you - it's simple!! With my DISing at work, its how I have to operate.

True Confession Thurs: I have turned into a GLEE addict!! I have been trying to catch up on last seasons episodes. My DD and I love to watch it.

Me too Pakey!! You don't find many NASCAR fans on the DIS boards!! We don't get to watch it like we used to with DS's soccer being on Sunday afternoons, but we do enjoy watching from time to time.

We actually went to a race on our honeymoon in 1998!!

It's not acting much like Fall here, yet - on our way to 85 today. The leaves are just starting to change. We always try to hold off on turning on the heat til October - some years it's hard but this year we're still leaving the windows wide open at night. I did follow a truck full of pumpkins and hay bales heading somewhere yesterday.

True confession - I wasn't dressed yet when our painters arrived today. I'm not a morning person. We're having our exterior done for the first time in years.

It's 85 here today, and that is our fall! I'm loving it!! 27% humidity. Going down to 56 tomorrow night. After one of the hottest summers on record, this is heaven.

My True Confession: I love listening to local sports talk radio. In fact, I've got the live stream on my computer right now so I can Dis while I listen to people dis our coach!

It's on my bucket list to see a race at Talledega, my favorite 2 races of the year. I grew up listening to races on the radio before they were televised but it's obviously an oddity here because I don't know anyone who enjoys NASCAR except my dad. It's the only thing we have in common so it makes it even that much more important to me.
