The Earls meet the Princesses:A June PTR *6/13 WE LEAVE IN THE MORNING!*

Okay, finally caught up -- I was swamped with work! with AK, I think your list is great! Nemo -- I can't wait for that one! Re Dinosaur, my DS 6 was not happy with that one. We'll be skipping it -- BUT if you go to the boneyard don't forget to get one of those icecream sandwiches (like at MK) homemade cookie kind -- the little shack across from it, on the way to Dinosaur... very very good!

Yay for 30 days! That is so exciting!!!! :yay::yay:

Mmmm. The heat might be a little easier to bear with an ice cream sandwich. Thanks for the tip!:goodvibes

Oooh, great tip. I didn't know they had them there.

Hi,
AK plan looks great. My only thing is Primevil Whirl...did you do it last time? I thought that Disney should give you a voucher for a free chiropractor session afterward. I felt like an old woman. I would say that is my least favorite Disney attraction. But as a tween I probably would have loved it. My old lady heiny just can't do it. :sad2:

:rotfl:I have an old lady heiny also, so I'm going to let my daredevils do this one. Last trip I volunteered to take Amelia and Ian on Triceratops Twirl while George and Maddy did Primevil Whirl. I'll probably make the same sacrifice this time.;)

You know, there is a reason why "hurl" rhymes with "whirl" -- I'm just sayin'...

Look I can only do Tea Cups if I don't touch the spinner thingy in the middle of the cup. No whirling for me -- no way. Now if CP whirls, and I don't, that will be an issue, but I am betting she isn't a whirler either... :lmao:

This is a quick odds and ends update. We enjoyed a quiet weekend. Saturday George took the two youngers to the Michigan Day parade while Madeline and I packed for 5th grade camp and Sunday we went to Amelia's final run (5K) for Girls on the Run. Here are a couple of pictures of her from the race. She was so proud of herself for finishing and so was I.:goodvibes

And with that, all of the kids' extracurricular activities are officially over!:woohoo:

We began taking Mickey heads off of our countdown calendar on Saturday, our official 30 mark until we arrive at WDW.:goodvibes

IMG_1525.jpg

Some day we're going to have to do two because we actually leave a day earlier than the countdown calendar or my ticker say. We've got stickers of things we're looking forward to under each head, so 30 was Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin.

**Random Disney News**

We have chicken sitters! Our neighbor's kids are going to pick up our mail and take care of the chickens while we're gone.

The last scholastic book order Maddy brought home (Tab June) had Kingdom Keepers offered as a summer sizzler, so I ordered it for $4! I think I'll save it for our Disney drive. Maybe I'll even share it with the girls.;)

My family will actually be done with school a day earlier than I thought.:yay: George is going to take all 3 kids to his parents on Friday, June 12th. He needs to switch cars and plant the blueberry bush we gave his mom for Christmas, so I'll have several hours of uninterupted cleaning/packing time.
I'll try hard to resist using that quiet time to lounge on the deck and read a book.:rotfl:

I just opened my Disney box, aka, pop up clothes hamper, and examined what's inside. I'll post pictures soon of my finds.

I'll leave you with a picture of what we found in one of the small pines flanking our garage. It's only about 3 inches across and was made by a Chipping Sparrow. This really is the year of the birds:lmao:

It really is the year of the birds for you all!!

Yay for Chicken Sitters. Hehehe, that just sounds funny.

Your trip is getting so close! :woohoo:

Wow, a 5K. Tell her great job!

I need to make a countdown calendar. That is something I have never done.

Hi Christine! :wave2:

I see you posting on many of my DIS-friends' reports, so I thought I'd drop by and read yours!!

I'm still on page 2, but I just wanted to say hello...

I know how you feel about daughters "aging out" of the princesses! princess:
It's a little sad... the end of an special little-girl time in their lives... but then it can be wonderful because of all the great new adventures they will have at WDW!! pixiedust:

And there's a lot of fun to look forward to with your little pirate:

Hi Kathy! Thank you for stopping by.:goodvibes Yes, we do run in the same ptr/tr circles. I've actually lurked through most of your latest, but I've been too intimidated to post. I'll say hi now!

I'm not sure what to expect from the girls this trip. Madeline wants to ride all of the roller coasters and has no interest in the princesses, but is excited to meet the fairies.:confused3 This will definitely be an interesting year.:)

What?!?

Intimidated by me?? OMGoodness! :rotfl:

Now you just have to drop in and say "Howdy!!"

Way to go, Maddy!!! :thumbsup2 A definite hurray for extracurricular activities being finished!!!

I really enjoyed Kingdom Keepers -- it will never win any major awards, but it is good for a Disney fix!

More eggs? Your yard will be a busy spot once they all hatch!

Hooray for getting to calendar countdown time! Very exciting!

Congratulations to all the running girls for a job well done.

I'm adding you to our list of reports to watch to keep us happy until we go at the end of July, so you guys have an extra good time to help us out, okay?

Hey there!!

All caught up, finally!

I know your kids must be as excited about Stormalong Bay as mine are about Samawati Springs!! :hyper: We've never stayed at the Beach Club... I can't wait to see all your pix!!

Take lots!!

Yes! This week is the last week of my tutoring, Ian's last 2 days of preschool and Maddy's 5th grade camp and then I can breathe.

Sadly, I posted that last picture too soon. This morning Amelia found the eggs on the ground, along with some feathers, and the nest was gone.:sad2: The Robins should be hatching this week, though, and the chickens follow us like dogs.:rotfl:

Welcome! I've enjoyed reading your responses on others' reports. You seem to have a lot of wisdom that hopefully I can benefit from. No pressure or anything.:rotfl: Thanks for the well wishes. The whole crew is excited now!:yay:

Definitely to the pictures.:thumbsup2 The kids are beyond excited about SAB. Ooh, Samawati Springs is really fun to say.

Oh... I'm sorry about the eggs. I hope the kids weren't too upset.

The Chicken Sitters.

Sounds like the name of an alternative rock band!!

Kathy

That happened to us with a little bird nest in a small tree near our house -- tree too small to support the nest. I am glad to know you will have a chicken sitter for your other eggs though!
